Why give focus to the personae when the underlying ills are a logical result of laws passed and accepted. Laws by which corporations are given 'personal' rights without corresponding responsibilities. Laws by which private banks come to own and effectively control any flavour or face of political 'power'. Laws by which corporations are compelled to asset strip and 'outsource' pain, misery and degradation of our experience of Life on Earth - excepting themselves as the privileged elect and believing themselves superior and powerful enough to disregard the lives of others - and anyway "it's always been this way and there's nothing you can really do about it except make sure your own interests are 'protected'".

What law is for society, accepted beliefs and definitions are for the individual - and work as a template of persona and world-view from which to operate. When confusions of obvious insanity rise to a surface awareness there is a call to look beneath surface appearances and identify what does not belong in the template of our focusing - or indeed of our devotions. Sweeping out the 'moneylender from the Template' is not primarily a political activism but a matter of individual housekeeping. And from a true foundation, we can bring a true witness to our collective housekeeping - for at its most basic level, that is what our political society embodies; how do we arrange or organize our selves and our lives in a human experience that has much in common whilst embodying a great diversity?

The 'win-lose' mindset operates differently from the 'win-win' willingness. This segregative or integrative polarisation marks the difference regardless of the face or form of the system, political or otherwise. If beneath appearances and shows of 'Power', is only a fear of loss - then where is the power to live and love, grow and learn, discover and appreciate?

Investing our lives in a fear of loss driven system is seeking power and protection in terms defined by fearful and self-invalidating conditioning. False investment doesn't only increase indebtedness and indenture to the false - but costs the recognition, appreciation and gratitude for the true - for what truly embodies and fulfils the desire of living that goes forth to multiply or magnify a true sense of worth and wealth - and whose cup flows over as a matter of course. Misery is miser-y. Breaking siege is letting fresh perspective into a painted corner from which no escape is conceivable.
Worth and wealth have to find a timing and a way to embody - regardless the 'siege mentality' - because the world we meet will reflect where we are coming from. I don't suggest this can be manipulatively exploited - but that one doesn't grow a new habit by framing it in the old habit.

Finding most 'news' stories to be hollow propagandistic deceits - I came to this (above linked) story from a G-news sidebar and felt at least a willingness for reason.

The notion of wealth subordinated to money, and the notion of disconnected sense of money from any real relational account, masked in insanely complex 'instruments' of obfuscation, reflects to me the current state of 'consciousness on Earth' - or lack thereof - because a fragmented 'warring' consciousness is a sham - and a shame - with all the defences and subterfuge of propping up and protecting from exposure.

True currency must serve and extend a genuine sense of shared worth. False ideas can only result in a false reality reading and response of a false sense of self.

War is built into and inherent in our money system - and our consciousness. The old paradigm 'consciousness' cannot serve as a true foundation. Look within to see not only the toxic debts of nothingness pretending to be something - but the complex shenanigans that serve to hide the truth - not merely from others - but from ourselves, so that different 'compartments' operate against each other or unbeknown to each other so as to maintain.... what exactly? Survival in terms set by conditioned fears and self-guilts. If we don't take a fresh look now - our prodigal wasteland will bring us to take a fresh look when it can no longer be denied, re-defined and repackaged and sold off as if it were a cultural expression of Life on Earth.

Uncovering and living from a truly felt sense of worth does not preclude any particular avenue of endeavour and exploration - but will transform or direct the way of it. If fear of loss is the active foundation - then expect self-fulfilling prophecies to reinforce the starting premise - because that is how life works.

Indeed politics is a cosmetic face on financially controlled manipulations. The idea that a bunch of actors 'run the country' is somewhat farcical. Central banking controls a debt-based money supply as a private enterprise - ie not a government agency. The manipulations of markets are many and various and although a certain amount of unpredictability is involved, this would be more as to the when and exact way in which the next bubble breaks to crash and open further consolidation of financial power.
It is not simply a matter of 'powerful' people or groups orchestrating leverage. It is a matter of most fundamental beliefs and definitions as to who we are and what our purpose is. The moneylender in the Template is not ultimately - out there. To stand in integrity has to be an expression of uncovering such integrity - and using the ploys and diversions to better understand them AS such devices rather than be triggered into reaction BY them.
There is a phrase "All wars are banker's wars", and it is observably notable that war and division play out to the profit of third parties. This includes any conflict - because conflicts personalize the issue with investment of identity that is already compromised with self-specialness and bias of refusal to listen or truly communicate the ISSUES - which if engaged in will always lead to the deeper causes that all sides of conflict tacitly conspire to deny and avoid. And this is the blindside by which minds are vulnerable to being led by the appeal of false promise and the fear of false flags.

There is no real voice or advocacy for the people as a whole. The media and the governing institutions have been captured, co-opted or muted. Fear becomes its own self-fulfilling prophecy as a tacit 'conspiracy' of serving private agenda over public Good. When the part operates out of accord with the whole it can be viewed as 'rogue' or cancerous - principally because of being cut off from the nourishment, support and guidance of the whole. Artificially induced scarcity upon the supply of needs can be effected in many clever ways - particularly after setting up an inflated demand amidst a seeming over-abundance.

Downstream of such supply one has limited leverage within the scheme of the scam. And to operate or publicise the nature of the scam in isolation is to risk one's own ongoing supply. When the norm becomes a silence of no challenge, the 'power agenda' expands to fill the space left vacant with complicity.

What is a human being? A human life lived? Ask the technocratic mind and get your place in its mechanism or put it behind you and listen in the heart that knows wholeness - regardless the fear. In fact because of the fear, because living in fear and under fear's tyranny is not a human being or live lived and shared. fear itself is NOT the basis to dictate or frame our choices, but to access a greater resource, one has to withdraw allegiance from that which operates to block such resource.

I realize I expanded way past your point on a corporate predation upon human - being. This is not a personal rejoinder but into the consideration of Idea by which all else is framed and shaped.

Reality Distortion Field

On FT.com reading some comments - which are often more insightful than the article was a conversation regarding those who are perceived to have instigated the financial errors of crash or post crash failure to regain confidence and growth.

X: "this could be just a dangerous modelling mirage"
Well said - the equilibrium that exists here is the relationship between central banking hubris and unforeseen consequences.

Y: "unforeseen consequences." for who?  Pretty sure Mr Greenspan is happily retired and so will Janet, Kurodo, Ben etc.

X: Indeed they will have a secure financial retirement. However their egos will not retire - they will re-locate to the Re-writing of History Department. Mr Greenspan is already distancing himself from the lineage he spawned.

Y: Doubt they will feel much behind their own reality distortion field.

A reality distortion field operates to redefine reality so as to 'feel' better (self-validating assertion). Mutually defined fields operate in multi layered complexity of constantly shifting parameters which by design are ultimately un-understandable excepting to recognize this is understanding.
The overlay and insertion of coercive distorting 'dynamics' generates ever more subtle and complex 'lies' to protect from exposure of lack of true foundation.
True foundation has no need, desire or call to mask itself or reality. Though some seem closer or further from the Emperor, all are complicit in fear of their own bastardy or lack of Author-ity, whether puffing up or aligning in obeisance to the puffed up.
The voice of the perspective of an innocent curiosity shares not this fear but gives of a natural authority without side, edge, grievance or agenda; "But look, the Emperor is naked". THIS is the point at which the injected lie of a fearful self-doubting which was given the Emperor's vanity for self-specialness - can be itself invalidated as a true framework for choice to operate within or outfrom.
In a similar story (the Fall) the denouement operates as the prompting "And who told you you were naked?". Reality distortion field can also be known as personae - plural because we each make a version for everyone we meet.
Enquiring of our own self definitions to illuminate our own fig-leaved shields and maskings allows a perspective of a fresh take. Not to fix down a better basis for 'reality control' but to yield back into a sanity from which a vanity and carelessness of thought baited and entranced our investment. Everyone protects their investment - but if one invests in what CANNOT bear true fruit, there is every reason to re-evaluate what we are investing and why.
Materialism at best seeks to manipulate definitions - but will not expose its own.
On the other hand, the pain of a living lie calls out to be released.
Negotiating with the 'face' that thinks it faces out alone must embrace the validity of its experience enough to establish a channel of communication. But that does not mean to share the beliefs that ARE the reality distortion field.
Communication breakdown is the nature of a fundamental self-doubt. Operating outfrom attempts to manufacture self cannot share in the power to inspire or effect real change. It can only persist in delaying the inevitable... dawning in the mind of what was always present but denied currency of acceptance. Living outfrom a unified and unifying perspective appreciates that which appreciates instead of giving love (one's investment of identification, energy and attention) to the fear of loss.
To go forth and multiply fear of loss is to in-debt ourselves to that which hides and distorts our true presence. The win-lose mind is an either/or dilemma. A fight/flight life/death switching focus. The both/and mind is an embrace, not a rejection, and can seek and negotiate and find win/win outcomes.
By all means continue to manipulate and generate complex devices by which to prop up a model that simply is not fit for purpose. Unto Caesar as is due - but let the heart's discernment unfold the new.

It is simply an essay sketching in the realm of the financial aspect of our consciousness and thus of our cultures, locally and in many senses globally.

i appreciate the commenters here for whatever they feel moved to share. I don't write to compete with or assert but simply to  share in what can be used for reflection or passed by. Culture is not a rational construct and does not conform to rational ideologies or systems of rational mapping out because despite lower levels of our mind being just like a computer in certain respects, there is a creative level that is in and of the heart - which is symbolic of the wholeness or unified consciousness and which resonance is felt in the heart as a whole body sense of Life, connection, joy. Culture is a collective consciousness structure but its forms tend to lose their original connection with the sense of value that gave rise to them and become disconnected derivatives that are then mixed up in unrelated ways with other derivatives and conflicted meanings render the structure unstable and without integrity.

The transactional aspect of our living reflects deeply held ideas in consciousness and culture - or collective currency of ideas, not least because we associate money and wealth, with our most fundamental ability to access and perpetuate our security and survival - but also with the power to store it and use it to serve and embody the purposes of growing or becoming along the lines of our desires.

The 'moneylenders in the template' are not merely external agencies in the world, but embodiments of an attempt to coercively own or control the system itself - whilst in the guise of serving the common good or indeed the 'economic recovery'. To address the outer without the inner is the attempt to bypass one's own transformational healing or correction; which is to reseed the same tares in the new field of endeavour.

A qualitative discernment has little voice in a conflict framed in quantitative terms, as if all is equally reducible to flat data analysis. But the only real correction to error is to align with what is found to serve unified purpose - and an active willingness in this direction will illuminate anything that is out of alignment. An unwillingness to accept correction operates as a kind of refusal to communicate backed by a host of highly charged emotionally backed non-negotiable fears. (That come into play when conditions are not met). Hence communication is weaponised as propaganda and the arts of asserting a 'winning hand' or a competency by deceit.

All things align and serve the purpose of their foundation. I don't pretend or try to understand complex financial instruments, but I can sense a coercive intent as can anyone else who isn't distracted by fear or perhaps baited by the deeper fear of greed - and ignorantly and arrogantly think they can use it AND control its effect. 

Correction isn't so much a choice of whether, as of when, and in what manner. That which undermines even its own stability and integrity cannot be held to 'work' and be given allegiance indefinitely however it shape-shifts and rebrands itself.

A coercive mentality is always associated with a fearful mentality - though perhaps most expertly self-disguised in those whose urge is in wielding power rather than sharing it. Nothing so blind as an addiction and the addict sometimes the last to own it.

Sharing power isn't giving power away, but is sharing purpose in principled and open communication. In desire for a truly helpful outcome, one operates out from a different foundation, in place of defending a fragmented and conflicted distortion that seeks to preserve itself at the expense of the whole - and of others - because it identifies itself as a whole - over and against others and is blind to wholeness thereby.

All props and symbols in our world that have currency in our culture are founded in Consciousness either directly or as derivatives of derivatives of derivatives… and these become the template of our cultures, at the collective and local and personal level that are acted out FROM. When the template no longer serves a true channel of connection, it is time to be restored, refreshed, realigned so as to regain creative relationship.

The accounting for toxic debt is done in each and every consciousness. Or it recycles in a sort of reverse 'pass the parcel' game that operates in worldy terms as a consolidation of the power of coercive intent and effect. Our personal accounting is not merely to write off the valueless and redeem the truly valuable, but to identify the devices and practices of intent whereby we adulterated or diluted and undermined our truly valuable with 'Trojan money'.

Don't just teach a man to not be phished, teach him/her to learn how to not be phished again.

Fear operates as a false currency. The so called war on terror is a device among many, for the consolidation of power as an expression OF terror although coercion can use persuasion in most cases - once the essential power has revealed itself. However when it does is when its lack of validity can be seen clearly and allegiance withdrawn.

Computers are restored or reset to factory defaults to undo corruptions, when they cannot be identified and fixed otherwise. Insofar as we are 'programmes' we are also resetable by a willingness to force-quit destructive or futile and therefore valueless reaction, and await the reboot of the movement of Consciousness. This may take active willingness against past programming routines, but to release a coercively conflicted mentality is to calm into a subtler awareness and corresponding perspective. There is no way to yield to one's being strategically, yet the phrase is simply a self-honesty that no longer animates strategies of defence against one's own fear or indeed one's own inner knowings that are often hidden within fears.

In a sense everything is a matter of perspective, but when we lose it, we lock ourselves into very tight and dense compulsive knots. I have every confidence in our innate capacity to imagine and create a world in which we can uncover and explore what really impassions and enthuses us in ways that actually enrich each other rather than fight ourselves and therefore each other.

The key is what truly moves us. If we are moving from what does not in fact resonate with our life, we are following the wrong urge. A key in this is to recognize the difference between aspiring to a goal and trying not to fail. Abundance does not grow from the attempt to not lose - excepting of course an abundance of fear and lack!

What world is it that is had in exchange for a truly felt and shared presence?
Materialism is not merely a lifestyle choice or consciously held identity preference - so much as the return on a current investment - albeit running as a default mentality below the level of so called consciousness.
Moneylenders in the Template. Nothing new here. Perhaps what can be more widely understood today is that the template is the level of idea that dictates or determines the structure of our experience.
To go forth and multiply is simply the Nature of Consciousness. If one replaces a Soul-integrated consciousness with a segregated and conflicted sense of disconnected consciousness, then one receives the experience one has in a sense asked for.
But to go forth from and multiply or propagate a sense of lack, or dissonance, or scarcity, unworthiness, inadequacy, and  disconnection, then such will be the pattern of its growth.
Regardless of how anyone approaches it, there is something in getting priorities the right way round. When first things are first - all else follows. But to maintain a false premise acquires a huge burden of exhausting struggle and deception.
The nature of Consciousness is closer than our face - and yet we look away from it to a world that distracts us with its endlessly mutating problems - but we have not in a sense 'gone anywhere' because everything we see and feel and experience is being experienced in Consciousness - although our personal filters may not recognize this and define it otherwise.
When one is 'painted into a corner' and used up any remaining wiggle room from re-brandings, PR  spin or changing the furniture around, there is an un-masking or exposure of that which was presumed real but turns out to be ideas that do not have currency.
This is a real opportunity to accept an 'adjustment' of not just markets - but of consciousness itself. To come back into true relation from a bubble of forgetful distraction.
Curiosity and discovery is innate to our very presence. But the thinking inside the box is designed to ensure that we keep thinking inside the box. As long as we listen to such thinking, we are not actually paying close attention to what we are in effect choosing.
Only by owning our choices can we release them and allow in and embody new choices - from a fresh perspective and as a current relevance. The Call for a fresh perspective is a call for inspiration but if we are invested in old structures of identity, the Call is unheard and so is its Answer.

Common sense may be defined negatively - but it is of course a native intelligence of the heart within the strictures and limitations of the mind- which substitutes its own thinking and fails to actually check in.

Giving sweets to suckers

I also wrote the following to a comment on the page:

There are those who encourage booms and profit from the bust. In popular terms it was a crash - but it was actually a consolidation of power. Giving out sweets of whatever nature, pulls in the suckers. Once the crop is sown or the parlour filled, it is simply a matter of harvesting or milking.

I suggest that the big brains were fooled as to the timing - as well as by their addictions.

There are those who are willing to act out the roles of STUPIDITY on the big stage to maintain the popular perceptions. Do ruthless corporates mellow into public servants on taking office?

The term that comes to mind is 'wolves in sheep's clothing'.

The idea of stealing a living inheritance to indulge one's self-specialness divorces from the true source and identifies within a prodigal script or indeed a Faustian pact.

I must be considered an illiterate in economic terms - but I can still feel the nature of a coercive scam from a real relationship. A debt tree fruits more debt - but there are those who use access to cheap 'money' to exert leverage and strip out assets or dominate emerging markets.

One way of looking at behaviour that fruits negative experience is to ask "what would one have to believe in order to have such experience?". These beliefs, definitions and currency of accepted idea are the template - regardless of the persona who happen to embody them.

The standard of living of the developed world has been very largely at the expense of the undeveloped world - enforced by many kinds of coercion and deception. Once production and services have been automated and outsourced, the population at large no longer has any function - nor the power to threaten the established order.

"Standard of living" has been very much materially defined - not least by pulling the working classes into a consumer culture of corporate design and feeding illusions of freedom and self-specialness.

Any renewal of culture has to embody a clear presence that communicates an integrity. The old world order is deeply committed to the dark arts of manipulating perceptions - perhaps seeking to place themselves in a material advantage in hope of continuity of power through a portal of fundamental change.

I don't write to refute anything you say - it was some of your points that stirred my additional comment. There are many perspectives on the same thing, perhaps all of them are valid as a basis for having an experience. If we shift our perspective we may open our experience to new possibilities.  Grievance and vengeance refuse to shift. But are these a prison others condemn us to - or are we in fact free to feel it, release it and move on?

Capitalism has often been designated as the least worst of available evils, but it is a catch-all term that has many facets.

It is all about power. About fear and guilt and the self-protective defenses that become the very thing we thought to defend against.

What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his Soul?

What does it profit a man to scam others into losing their Soul for the promise of a future that never comes - or is over in an instant?

What profits us is determined by what we define ourself to be - in relation to our Life, our world and each other.

These definitions are the scripts by which manipulators lose their Soul for the lead role on a stage set for fools.

Ultimately we do unto ourselves - but in the 'mean-time' we seem to get at ANOTHER's expense.

Win win relationship remains available - but winning from the loss of others has become the modus operandi. It all comes home to roost - not as a punishment - but as an opportunity to choose anew.

While the terms of choice are set by a false premise, only powerlessness is on offer. The power that seduces and corrupts is powerlessness in exquisite disguise. The power of illusion is the opportunity for creative freedom - but the illusion of power is the denial of creative spontaneity and appreciation, in favour of the worship of achievement and self-will.

But once hoodwinked we do not recognize the nature of our mis-invested identity. Steal a loaf and get jailed. Steal a kingdom and be called king. Steal the mind and become a god who lets fools rule by whatever system they will - for they all depend on your dictates and come to you for power and rescue.

The addiction to power uses whatever serves and has no allegiance to any persons or ideas beyond the term of their usefulness. As long as this mindset of rules 'rules', powerlessness is the presumption from which all follows on. To break the spell rather than recast it in a new disguise calls for the 'cold turkey' of the Soul. But it isn't the Soul that is in turmoil ... only the idol or image of it that the mind has stolen as it own precious specialness.
Beneath the mask of relative innocence is the mask of guilt. Beneath the mask of guilt is a perfect Innocence that the mask of guilt was made to hide. But you cant have it without sharing it. Perfectly hidden to that which wants it so!

This reminds me of the Israeli's 'Peace talks'. Enough of a seeming 'process' to maintain residual attention and investment in, while being played only as a power move without any integrity or actual credibility.

In broad terms, yes of course but...

A problem is the mindset within which it cannot be seen for what it is.

The attempt to maintain the asserted framework when it is exposed as invalid calls up the 'problem solving mentality' in substitute for free ranging creative discernment and imagination.

The idea that we (collectively) are already indentured by debt and addicted to a system that perpetuates it render collective decisions for health unimaginable... unless a significant shift occurs that disengages the framework of reactive coercion. (Which masquerades as substitutes for freedom, power and protection).

The framework is a network of definitions of self in relation to existence and world and each other. The belief in loss and the fear of total loss, give rise to the predatory mentality in which everyone seeks not to be the loser - or to totally lose - and thus loses sight (belief) in win-win. To play NOT to lose is completely different from playing to win.

The essential wealth that we grow is what we put forth to multiply.

At the level of idea and definition, we have put forth ideas that multiply lack.

The level at which we create/choose modalities that bring conflicted and dissonant outcome-experiences is the level to re-waken AS. As long as we play victim and invest blame, seeking vengeance or justice in terms of the past - we effectively refuse to wake up to our core consciousness responsibility - and persist in the mode of leveraging our own consciousness and others coercively from a negatively defined (joyless) 'perspective'.

'Jesus' wont kick the door in, but when the 'devil breaks in to take his own', it is really the disintegration of fearful segregation that can not recognize itself truly - but persists in the persona of fear as if that is the self to be 'saved'.

There is even the knowledge that such self is a sham - and yet until curiosity gets the better of us - the sham is worshipped as power over the loss of our 'controls' and exposure of our powerlessness.

Paradoxically, the acceptance of powerlessness restores the power of a unified consciousness. It is the attempt to coerce Life from the personality level that results in chaotic chain reactions. Pride, vanity and arrogance.

One more thing... the attempt to eradicate the negative (segregating) choice is what empowers it with charge.

All choices being equal - what will you choose? As choices this IS always our creative threshold, but our current 'past definitions' weight our choices such as to make us rats in a maze from which we cannot escape... unless we become curious as to our core beliefs and challenge them in the light of a truly aligned CURRENT choice!

A lack of cultural integrity - Staffs Hospital horror

I wrote this in a desire to look at the underlying mental and cultural context that is to my view, part and parcel of such inhumanity as has been uncovered in The Staffordshire hospital horror.


The ascendancy of rationality applied with a divisive and piecemeal analysis as a scientific discipline has subverted our thinking as a culture of control. This expresses itself as a corporate/consumer model when writ large - and a independent private mind writ small.

The emergence of digital processing technologies and connectivity has extended the reach of both corporate interest and of private consumption.

Information and communication have largely been subverted as a method of managing perceptions and manipulating minds.

But underneath all of this is the consumptive mindset of 'getting'.

The identification with 'getting' is considered normal or natural to us whenever we identify private or partial interests above true or whole interests, but it is compulsive, mechanical and superficial. It is disconnected from any true cultural inspiration and runs as a mechanical fulfillment of transactional tasks and targets met without actually expressing a relationship of trust. The lack of a community of trust is evident not only between the providers of the service and its recipients - but in the culture of the workplace and from the top down.

Devaluing human lives, in business and provision of services, subordinates real communication and relationship  to a pervasive culture of fitting into a machine that does not care and can not care. The combination of a blame culture with a litigious self seeking 'entitlement' as well as an absurdly cocooned risk averse orientation to life is a severely inhibiting set of conditions. Along with this is the corporate control of Big Money, and Big tech and Big Pharma, such that rich and powerful lobbies tend to set  or heavily influence the agenda in what they see as their best interests or simply seeing answers in terms of their own specialization or approach.. This effectively means people are processed for profit, in every walk of life including 'health care'.

The socialization and training of people to embody such a society undermines our native intelligence and buys us off with extra or extended powers of technical interventions and observations.

The idea that Man is a machine reduces us to the mechanical and this itself is an insanity or sickness as well as a blindness. The mentality beneath this IS a machine and needs to be seen as such from a truly living perspective.

The only way to renew a culture of inspiration that embodies the practical qualities of a truly connected or loving commitment in life, is by example. Where what people say and what they do is congruent, it witnesses to a power of life rather than power over life.

Society - western culture - is seriously out of alignment with the truth of life, and nothing will or can truly work when it works against our true nature and fulfillment as a mechanism outside the wisdom and guidance of the heart.

This is not sentimental - but a process that is transformational. The avoidance of real relationship is the refusal of life as transformational. The roots of our sickness are hidden by design and much of what is studied at the level of form is in fact the activity of camouflage and deception that works below the threshold of our consciousness. Our ideas shape our mind and reflect as our experience and behaviour. Look at the ideas that are active and discern honestly or be controlled by them unknowing!

Look to the Foundations!

I cant help feeling that those who are most privy and powerful with regard to the true nature of the system, set in motion an exploitative shift towards false promise and deceptive protection rackets such as to milk the many - then bleed the many - to maintain their appetites.
Then when the complexity and vacuousness of the whole structure begins to topple, surf or manipulate the crash in such a way as to feed on the carcass.

I have the mental image of the herding of herring by predators such as killer whales. I'm sure you've seen this on tv.

No one will blow the whistle who is themselves part of the same mindset. Honesty costs too much - and real solutions cannot be imagined or countenanced from the perspective of power over and 'getting from'.

And if anyone does, will it not fall on stony ground or be choked by weeds? Unless of course the desire for honesty is realised to be the foundation of true and just relationship, and communication in which trust and worth are to be extended, as discernment guides and uncovers.

But if our personal mind is the same a pattern of  manipulative control, we do not have it to share.

When things fall apart. Look to the foundation. When true foundations are substituted for with mutually agreed derivatives, there IS no foundation.

Withdraw investment of attention, energy and faith in that which undermines well being and give it into what you appreciate. For what you appreciate, appreciates. A true appreciation is tangibly felt - and shared. It isn't a private mind but a cultural event. 

There IS reality beneath the distortions and the spin and we have forgotten what it is and what is its true expression and fulfilment. Because we wanted something else. False promises don't only lead astray, they lay waste.

Trust is NOT a confidence trick. It is the most fundamental expression of being - because our being is not the commodity as is packaged and sold  to a disconnected thinking.

Give what is due to the demands under which we are working within - but no more. And give the recognition and loyalty of your heart to the source and nature of a tangible and shared appreciation of the presence of Life in expression.

We cant untangle this mess - but we can be open to a different perspective from which and entirely different appreciation brings renewal and support for a more integrated way of life.

The article focusses on certain details - but I felt to comment on the underlying mentality:

Money is taken - accepted and agreed as value. But when that value drifts away from what is truly of value it becomes a bubble that cannot maintain its structural integrity - no matter how ingenious the soap mixture becomes.

If wealth grows, there is a win win situation in that there is a shared benefit. But if money-wealth grows in ways that actually undermines health and integrity. Then dysfunction and eventual breakdown is inevitable, because it is not truly wealth, but sickness disguised as wealth, as illustrated in the term 'toxic debt'. There are other 'hidden' toxic aspects to a lot of what is reckoned to be wealth.

Such error is at such a fundamental level of our identity from which our thinking comes forth, that very few can bring it into a greater perspective but are defined and dictated by its perspective.

In simplest terms, we need to re evaluate everything in terms of the whole and not engage in mutual 'fremnity' definitions which seek to use everything and everyone for a personal or private intent.

This is no more than an honesty or true congruency of being, yet from a freshly uncovered perspective that is NOT an expression of our own thought, so much as of a desire to listen, discern and notice, what truly fits, or works, as a larger fulfilment of our conscious desire.

This is not an appeal to thinking - which doesn't not listen because it thinks it knows. But to the heart - which is the wholeness of being and its unified expression.

Intuitive sense plays a much larger role in our lives than is usually acknowledged, but usually within very specific problems and goals. In the world that is unfolding in our day by day, I feel a much greater calling to a true accounting, not merely of balance sheets, but of a perspective of wholeness, that cannot be defined by parts taken out of context.

Discernment is of a willingness - and indeed a commitment - to feel the truth of a situation, and is one with inspiration. It may seem to be a kind of thinking - and often can occur after a process of thinking has reached its limits, but it is an intuitive quality that simply feels which way to go - or whether in fact to go at all. It can sense the nature of the roots or root intentions, without having to explore all of the branches. Trying to run without it would be like running as a template instead of as a participant in a greater relationship that is of a wholeness or presence that a template cannot 'be' or 'know'.
Unlike thinking, discernment does not yield to will or suffer to be controlled, but the personal sense is deeply and habitually invested in exactly that, and yields to compromises and makes alliances in order to gain its own advantage.
Discernment is like Manna - in that it cannot be stored and repackaged as ideas without becoming another template. It is a responsibility of remaining honestly present.
Everyone has it, but if we use a manipulative consciousness instead, then we become full of our own thought and listen only as our thought dictates, if at all.

A reevaluation of values and purpose is called for. Alarm should not inspire fear, but summon an alertness of full presence. For fear is not the guide of a present discernment but of reaction and reenactment of past ignorance.

When the 'system' that is itself an expression of our culture, that we all use, share and depend on, disintegrates or fails, is there not a call to awaken from the habits that ARE the problem - and attend to the Living?

Our political and financial situation is mirroring the fundamental structure and 'dynamic' of a consciousness that is in many ways a global 'culture' that does not express or honour a genuine presence of life in its expressions.

'Save yourself', by stepping out of the mentality of a template based thinking and be inspired to a fresh curiosity as to what we are and what our world is. Perspective awakens, shifts our focus and grows willingness and capacity to invest in a reality that at its root, is of shared being.

What we appreciate, appreciates. Fear and greed are the same. We do not need austerity so much as a refocus in an honesty of heart. I sense our vanities will be stripped away whether we are willing now or later. But to even be able to see that we are vain  - and conditioned - in our own thinking and image, is a measure of noticing. Of awareness.

Discernment is a natural expression of awareness that feels.

When there is a conspiracy of interest, there is a conspiracy of evading or limiting disclosure. The disproportionate (delusional) 'self-interest' that fuelled the events leading to our effectively indentured state of indebtedness was contagious - but the responsibility of those who are entrusted to oversee and take care of the integrity of the system and service for all, remains unmet and unanswered - because they want to remain at the top of the pile and in positions of control.
This leads me to declare that we need to change OUR culture such as to be the soil in which a different leadership can be supported and serve.
Calling to account is not served by a witch-hunting of emotional leverage - as fanned by those who seek to direct it, but by a willingness to bring to communication, issues that are difficult and perhaps perceived as dangerous to challenge.

Barclays was not bailed out by the taxpayer - but by the Arabs. I'm sure if you search a little you will find it was no small sum and no less of a bail out than HSBC.

While international corporate finance has operational bases in our country, these 'businesses' are not really 'British' any more than Man U is Mancunian.




(General reflections)

Whenever and wherever the mob is whipped up into an emotional frenzy, there are likely to be hidden agendas at work - either in setting it up or in taking opportunistic advantage while such force of feeling is focussed.


The differentiation between government and financial corporate interest has become a facade. If with your left hand you gamble and connive to deceive and with your right you righteously protect the 'system' by relieving the banks of any real responsibility, then there becomes a direct parasitical leeching of the wealth of the many, via the 'untouchable' privileged few.


In some energetic sense, this affair LOOKS like some sort of sting of accountability is to be demanded and effected - and MAY prove to be PART of a shift in culture.


But my sense beneath it all is of a collective guilt being scapegoated on whoever can be found to dump it on. My sense is that as long as guilt is seen as a kind of toxic debt to hide in complex deceptions and trade in, will we suffer a dysfunctional and unreal society.


When we can acknowledge the nature of guilt as a simple desire to get for ourselves at expense of others in thought and actions that undermine and dishonour ourselves and the wholeness of which we are part, then we can realign our thought (and consequent acts) with our true and shared interest.


The 'culture' of modern mind is so self-separately identified, that it believes selfish 'getting' to be the true basis of life. The shift of culture to a true accounting must see a shared value in exchange.


An economy based on dishonouring others - and indeed our commonwealth of cultural and material resources that is our inheritance and our gift to pass on through the generations - is inherently dissonant and will foul its nest.


To find a true basis from which to align - while using commonsense in the transition - must effectively be a shift from the getting mind to the giving and receiving mind.


What we tend to see is a 'moral' card being used as part of a war. Truth when it suits us - and only focussing on the facets of those issues that suit us.


The mentality of the lie is so pervasive, that there is no one here who is 'without sin' to throw the first stone (though there is usually a rush of self righteous hate to do so).


The communication that comes from those who own their own mind - and yet choose to serve the wholeness of the situation rather than pursue a narrow self interest, is an opportunity to see from beyond the foundation that guilt and fear establishes as tyrannous necessity.

Libor scandal: How I manipulated the bank borrowing rate

In a culture of win win opportunism, no one looks for - or cares about this sort of thing - and blowing whistles is like pissing in the wind. Almost everyone with a financial stake was participating in a culture of callous irresponsibility; spending the future.

Now there is a shift to escape a true accounting, by becoming suddenly righteous and seeking out scapegoats upon which we can displace what is ultimately our own uncorrected mind.

This is an ancient magical ritual that perpetuates a fearful and dishonest basis of identity and thought. It seems that some parts are sacrificed for the whole to move on - but in fact it is truth that is sacrificed so that self-illusion can play on.

The good news about awful self discovery is that one is no longer needing to run and hide from it. There is more good news to come - but it grows from setting forth from a different basis than the mask of deception.

This doesn't mean that there is isn't a need to bring institutions into alignment with the real needs of those for which they are to serve - but that the way of it can either be a whitewashed superficial makeover or a true change of heart and mind.

I agree with Mervyn King, that we need a culture change - but that the root of such a change is not found in rapping the knuckles and a telling off. Cultural renewal isn't about fixing up a corrupted system - but of discerning and embodying a true sense of value in all that we think and do.

Our relationships have become - 'whatever we want' or present them to be - excepting they are not real on such a basis - because they do not first honour the basis by which relationship MEANS something. Integrity and trust are necessary for communication to truly occur. Without them, all is war. This may seem to be justified by Darwinian interpretations, but a house divided does not stand.

The Babel of the modern mind is falling down even as I write - for it thinks to make itself in its own image - and believes it!

Instead of setting ourselves up to determine (or manipulate) truth-  we would be better served if we let ourselves share in truth. This is indeed a culture shift for it calls on a conscious relationship rather than a codified set of regulatory controls that effectively allow the mind to fall into an unconsciousness in which it is easily manipulated by thoughts that would be thrown out in the light of a shared and conscious reason.

'Panic has become all too rational'

I recall at school 'resolving' apparently complex equations into simpler and clearer terms, so I also wonder that if a large part of this debt is effectively non existent in real terms.

The revelations occurring are such as to expose self delusion - and our most fundamental understanding of the self(be it a personal or corporate entity) is not actually of truly an independent power - but is ALWAY an expression of a mutuality or interdependence.

Democracy has lost out to surface desires and manipulation of hidden fears - (hidden by distraction with surface desires) - but what I feel to be of true value in its spirit, is a willingness and a capacity for communication to occur.

Communication has lost out to a war of deceit, persuasion and manipulation. To actually communicate requires a basis for trust. Without trust, defence is governing all transactions and that effectively asserts power over rather than shares power with - albeit in ways that seem perfectly justifiable to the mind its its withholding of communication.

The 'system' could be a system that aligns and reflects with the way things work.
Or it can be a system that grows out of mutual self delusion in order to protect the right to self delusion unto its limits - of collapse, war, death.

The nature of self delusion is often associated with evil and not surprisingly in terms of the inherent disregard for truth that is necessarily part of the deal. But guilt and fear block or distort our capacity to discern and blame is a self-delusory ritual that does not awaken true responsibility.

The opportunity to look upon the false - without recoil into opinionated judgement - is the opportunity to rewaken from a different basis. A basis that is not the result of self illusion, coercive intent or a mask of fairness over a fear of coercive intent.

Individuals suffer a 'breakdown' when they can no longer maintain their 'self' identity - but this may offer a breakthrough of a deeper rootedness of being. The depth, as it were, wakes up and sheds the surface, as a soil in which the old patterns do not work - and are painful to attempt.

"Don't know mind" is the highest state of human  knowledge possible - but far from being helpless, it opens as the only true receptivity. To listen in trust from 'dont know mind', will yield a tangible result for the wholeness of which the part is an expression - and not a prodigal power in its own right.

Cuts, what cuts?

We are seemingly trapped in an insane loop.
I call it insane because it is founded in a wishful thinking, that became a default manipulation, that became a substitute for genuine growth.

The narratives of human thinking - be they governments, corporations or individuals, are wishful thinking - that is 'stories' we tell ourselves for our own reasons.

Trying to 'fit' reality to our story can never work - but for a while it can seem to work - with a bit of force and a sleight of mind. What a HIT one gets from a sense of being in control, from being righteous and from being superior to an adversary or indeed adversity!

I feel that this way of thinking is a hidden selfishness in disguise - and in a tacit presumption that everyone else is the same as 'me'.

This is a state of war - not only between entities - but within the mind of ourself.

The overheads and costs of engaging war are like having the brake and accelerator on at once - energy is effectively wasted, life is effectively denied - and channelled into fearful attempts to bolster control - which creates the conditions of instability and further escalates conflict.

Because our cleverest minds have worked on patching and remodelling this system to sort of cope to the nth degree, we have a critical collapse at hand - that is of a global nature.

Surrender when defeated is honesty, and honesty is the basis of trust, communication and the sharing in value.
To say one cannot afford honesty is to be deceived into protecting a lie at expense of truth.

A fundamental re evaluation and account is called for - in fact it is unavoidable. But the mainstream financiers and politicians do not have a perspective or a vocabulary to communicate from or with.

The switch is not from spending to austerity. The switch is from that which undermines a wholeness of being to that which promotes it.

Wholeness of being cannot be manipulated, but can be revealed and extended in practice. Without the EXPERIENCE of what this phrase means - one is left with words amidst a mind accustomed to manipulation. But everyone knows this experience in some aspect or moment of their lives - for it is signified by an absence of coercion, and a natural generosity of willingness and trust in a grounded discernment. IE: It is practical because it is the Way Things Work (when not distorted by machinations of fear and deception).

We teach ourselves a lesson by which we may be humbled of outrageous - and absurd - arrogances. But the light of a true humility is clear and uncovers a practical pathway where hubris finds none.

Do not put your faith in the false deities of economists

If the basis or predicate is false, then all else that follows - or is built upon it - shall likewise be false. An ideal may originally have been rooted in the heart's discernment and realisation - but ideologies are derivative attempts to cling to the wreckage that inevitably associates a war of mind and heart.
In the war of mind over heart, the heart is 'rebranded' as emotionalism and the (wishfully but not actually separated) mind 'crowns itself' as Protector and Guide unto what shows itself finally as a prodigal waste of a Commonwealth.
Feeling is the expression and discernment of connection. A true accounting must FEEL to predicate itself on a true or actual foundation. A sense of disconnect is associated with emotional states - including the attempt to control emotional states.
The Prodigal Son is a tiny story-image that nonetheless speaks of a fundamental truth. To take off with 'one's inheritance' before the Father is dead is a symbol of the agreement to eat of the apple of conflicted mind. Immediately upon such enterprise, is FELT-God seemingly rendered absent, dead, external to both space and time and effectively irrelevant excepting insofar as each claims it in his own fragmenting and fragmented image.
When the primary asset is the 'possession' of one's own self-image - along with all the thinking and experience as arises within such a foundation, then the true Basis and Condition of Wealth has been sold out for a scam.
A fundamental breakdown IS the opportunity for a fundamental reevaluation. When one's own thinking can no longer be trusted, one must listen in a silence that FEELS or discerns - and observe the mind that once was employed as one's own.

I am addressing underlying fundamentals beneath and beyond the radar of our thinking mind - but not beyond the capacity of the heart to recognize Itself. The practical application of ideas is a mode of control, but the natural expression and extension of a true basis in Life is discernment and trust extended.
The nature of investment needs to be not merely of a short term private self-gain - or it continues to undermine a true Appreciation. To invest in what is truly alive will profit all - including oneself, but our notion of wealth is so materially measured and blinkered that we blindly tend to trade our very Soul, (Feeling being) - for the 'world'.
Never underestimate the power of the mind - of intent and belief - for such makes the world we each experience - while the truth the world reveals and reflects, awaits recognition at heart.

Whatever the cultural packaging, the human mind enacts the same essential stories - unless and until it wakes to its stories AS stories. Then there is a basis to see the scam for what it is and refuse it so as to be found within a clear perspective; free of coercive intent.

Another throw of the monetary dice

The mentality of the prodigal son was always one of 'what can I get out of this' - even while his Father is alive, though ignored.
Religion at its root is not a magical wishful attempt to make nothing into a seeming something and then trade it so as to kill off or hollow out Something as it is turned itself to a nothing - all for the fleeting moment of power and possession.

Rewakenening to true values is waking up from a deceptive voice in our heads that we call 'my thinking' on behalf of 'my private interests' - (albeit presented so as to appear to be wise, kind, protective, benevolent and neccessary).

When the system of guidance fails - or is realized to be a scam - then the obvious step is to listen for an alternate to madness in the simple trust that madness is not inherent to being alive or being human.

What wakens the heart is simply listening in the heart. While the head can peddle deceptions amidst a maze of distractions and a mist of (heart) denial - little wisdom can get through.

The manipulator does not/can not know what is meant by the heart because it only knows its own thoughts and 'understands' only in its own image.

What are the activties and projects that embody and support life's true and truly shared value? These are our true economy.

Midas turned all to gold and starved for life. It is nothing new to be so deceived. When there is no way for the ego (self illusion) to remain hidden, it seeks ever more depserate means to hide its (lack of) foundation, including war and death.

But yielding into Life while alive is to 'remember the Father' that is the ever present Source, Nature and Condition of be-ing - in its Own terms and not in the 'value added' sense of a privately manipulated outcome.

Investment is what you give yourself to - in energy of attention and comittment. There is NO scarcity of human resourcefulness but for the folly of false investments in which we believe we are trapped.

Truth seems fearful to the liar or to that which has investment in the lie. But Truth is the Condition of truly appreciating anything! - and is also the touchstone of a rested sanity of being regardless of the headless chicken syndrome amidst what after all has always been a transient matter.

To meet in a shared sense of value is not a manipulated outcome - but is bedrock to any real cultural exchange or embodiment.

Enjoy this day and every day as today - that is - don't poison it with thinking of a nature that sucks out the joy and wonder of being. Or at least wake up to such habit and determine to see it for what it is so as to become free of tyranny.

Start always now, because now is the closest to where Life is being you. Take no thought for what you are to do - but listen instead to the true guide - that can always be felt or heard when the false is passed by unused.

Financial madness : The scale of ramping up risky lending was simply staggering

For all that the consequences are global, the underlying issues are nothing new. The mind spins off on its own in a disconnected bubble of its own in a mutually validated delusion. It grasps at the false promise of a special self-validation and control, only to wake up to the horror of its own error and uncover a deep and true need to reconnect with a True Sanity; of a mind in service to the Heart.
Love has been 'made in man's image' for the purposes of control - but that is not and has never been love.
Love's qualities are the inherent structure and Meaning of our existence.
Deception is the means by which we seem to spin off in our own bubble and use all things awry. But deception can be unmasked by those unwilling to subscribe to its demands.
I feel that the unmasking of a loveless meaninglessness is a difficult but honest acceptance - in which a clearer view of the next step can arise.
Man made systems will never substitute for the Living Presence of true discernment. Toxic debt is like blame. Just expose it and accept it is nothing - or it will continue to poison and undermine all trust and real communication.
