15 Common Sense Reasons to Free Yourself from Politics

This article linked above brought a polarised dissension of comment - but I felt to use it to reflect something of the way we get taken in.
 

Is it not revealing how the way something is defined sets off such polarity of dissension?
Don't react to some else's framing as if it is true. Listen in - and if need be listen in some more - until you are in fact reading what is there and responding to what is actually presented rather than being taken in.

Freedom is a basis from which to engage in creative relationship - not a personal accomplishment to get from something or someone else or have as a result of rejecting or withholding relationship.

Fixation in a problem defined sense of self is not engaging in politics - but more of an addiction or fascination with the negative. However - what you meet or become aware of - is part of you to feel and find your relationship with.

Is genuine communication a political act? Or is spin, persuasion, deceit and coercion the only way to get our freedom/justice/better world?

I suggest we need a real life as a basis from which to then communicate to the same in others - even if they don't seem to be having one - especially if they don't seem to be having one!

But I write this in a world where most believe that everything has built in meaning. Yes there are all kinds of mutually agreed definitions but whatever anyone else agrees - you are the one who accepts for you.

The old paradigm as I see it - is of "getting there". (which carries the hidden invalidation of being right here). It can be expresses in many forms but 'getting' is key. The old mind is for getting. (Got it?)

The new paradigm as I feel and live it is "being from here" - where here is a relational honesty and willingness THROUGH which the movement of being restores Presence - and living from Presence is not living from some fatalistic acceptance of conditioned perception - though it does embrace where we are in self-awareness - and transform it.



When the foundation shifts - EVERYTHING shifts with it. Put another way when a foundation is skewed, EVERYTHING is skewed with it. So the paradigm shift offers an unskewing of Everything. But this means bringing everything into alignment with who you now recognize yourself to be, as a relational honesty in genuine willingness for the embrace of Life - and guess what! - we uncover investments in a sense of power and protection in the old habit - that run counter to what we truly want - and they cant just be denied or pretended away - these are some serious fears and denials that call for a deeper quality of compassion and acceptance that 'getting there' allows - in fact 'getting the hell outta here!' is one of the getting-mind variations.



Escaping a sense of self conflict for peace - sounds good? lets go! But whatever we do we eventually find we brought it with us and the more we deny it acceptance the more it comes up through the cellar or breaking through the TV and breaking out all over the world. It goes deeper than we like or feel able to go - there is hurt, hate, rage, terror and powerlessness.

Each of us have a part in separation trauma - and our person and our society is predicated upon its denial to a very large degree.

We're all living a lie - or if you like we're all living in a matrix illusion controlled by THEM.

But the freedom is owning what is your own instead of running from it or putting it onto others and being self-righteously NOT them.

Politics like everything has corrupted definitions - don't accept corrupted currency and trade as if its real.

Where do we go to check our ideas, beliefs and definitions? In the heart- in the willingness to let them go and be in the willingness to feel and know truly. The result is that what is true of you floats and what is not falls away. That is - your definitions are more in line with who you truly are - and so this effects everything you do and the way you do it - regardless of the conditions.

So don't take anyone else's word unless it chimes with what's in your heart - but know the authority is the heart - not the one who served your recognition.

Language has been corrupted - to communicate from presence will find habits of framing and phrasing that are out of whack and yet these include all the dark arts of deceit and manipulation that politics has degraded itself to embody.

Grow the new anyway - any way that embodies life. The thing is if it extends your true willingness, it meets and sows and grows willingness in ways you don't know about or consciously intend. But if you are looking to change everyone so as to catch up or catch on - you cant do that and be your freedom. That's coercion it comes back at you and then you are entangled in polarised nowhere as if it could ever win.

But if politics is about how we organise our society and solve our issues we have to remember that we don't live to fit the system or the corporate or the collective - these systems are to fit to and serve Life - for if they don't - they work against the living - and call for correction. But one cant heal hate with hate - even if it feels self righteously justified it poisons the well before we've even dug it.

Any act will carry the consciousness you embody through it - regardless of statistics and trends, and yes gardening can extend and grow a sense of worth - in fact we are all gardeners of one kind or another - for what we give attention to we water and feed. The fixation and fascination in the negative is not serving a better and truer experience of Life - but nor is fixating in denial. We each feel our own way - and yet find positive synchronicity as a sign of alignment. We don't often recognize negative synchronicities because we are not aware enough to see the connections between what we put out and what we get back. There's a lot going on they don't tell you. There's a lot going on you don't let yourself know you know.

One of the possibilities arising from ability to hack or surveil others is to set up 'leaks' in order to further political agenda. It appears initially that for all the bulk of info - this is such a psyop by which everyone with hidden or obscured assets has been told they can be 'outed' and the mob primed to legally force such transparency. While this may seem good up to a point, having all transactions made transparent to power that is itself opaque and unaccountable is totalitarian.

The idea that toppling the idol (identity mythology) reveals the truth is only realised by a desire for truth. Desire for vengeance or indeed reinstatement as a subtler mythological variation on the theme is otherwise automatic - because the desire for truth is not part of any world-given 'identity'.
I sense the 'witchhunt will be used to shoehorn forcing transparency of assets on citizens and businesses alike - though in practice the law seems to work or be applied differently to citizens than transnationals.

Corporate entities and legal tax avoidance are both defined by law. And it is there that more truly aligned definitions need to replace automatically destructive outcomes - as a result of elitist and exceptionalist cartel creation.

Soros is involved in funding of such, as in funding of so much else. Hatred is obviously fuelling the bipartisan illusion of US politics - and some incite and fund it. But hating the person is always reflecting something personal in the hater - whereas hating the falsity or illegitimacy of a deceit or a false notion, is natural to a love of truth.
Many hate anything that does not conform to or support the world as they imagine and want it to be - but that is to be so self-centred as to wish to have absolute power over all others. This is normal for an imaginary rage-driven agenda - and billions who engage it are the botnet for a cold light to manipulate such reaction to serve its agenda through your 'free' choices.

Please! Note how without knowing it, you are aware of the 'treatment' the state metes out to what it defines as 'a medical' disorder.

If people act in a disorderly way, there are already existing laws and procedures that pertain.

To take on the 'mindset of state coercion' in such a manner is to reveal its thought is your own.

Relational issues are psycho-emotional and have physical consequences. They are not physical diseases requiring Transglobal pharmaceuticals to provide 'treatment' for. - especially under the coercion of the state and overriding the willing consent of the other-defined 'sick' citizen. But if a citizen breaks the law - then his liberty may be checked and the matter brought to trial. That is where the balance for liberty in society is served by the state. In a justice system serving the balance of willingness for liberty at other's expense is coercion or deceit is it not?

Economic credibility is the problem? Financial credibility is the problem.The usurping of our financial system by the moneylender in the Template is an expression of the usurping of our currency of true worth by a false basis.
A true Humanity is not a set of ideas, techniques, methods or models. But will embody these within an honest relationship. Hardly anyone in the public eye demonstrates a willingness for relationship and communication - operating the mask of coercion and propaganda - so Corbyn immediately stands out as real. Perhaps there is willingness to uncover and embody an integrity of being amidst and despite the systemic corruptions pervading every field of human affairs.

I hope Corbyn does win. It will render Labour unelectable for a long time.

But at least there might be an advocacy for the population against the shadow government of financiers, corporates and captured or corrupted regulators. Corbyn demonstrates humanity - most others in the political arena are puppet actors dancing to a fear-based agenda. They cannot see humanity without awakening their own - which would ruin their career. But if needs must a self serving deceit will mimic a cherry picked version in order to recapture the sheep - or use the Greek model to destroy them.
There IS no Labour and there IS no Tory - for both are used by leverage of power to further its agenda. Politics has been superseded by a social engineering that itself is emerging from the shadow in such as TTIP - which intends to legitimize the power that currently operates by capturing or subverting institutions, laws and media narratives so as to predate upon and prevail over. I think they use terms like 'full spectrum dominance'. War on humanity calls forth witnesses TO humanity.

I've come back to this thread to say that a strategic response to a situation and indeed a strategic identity is a way to lose freedom for the promise of getting there in some future moment or reclaiming a freedom believed lost as a result of the analysis of the moment at hand.

I'll add that this is the normal ,but is not the original nature of human being. Yet if it is the predominant belief structure it must be worked with to open it up to a more direct and less obstructive communication - or there will be no communication.

Such strategic analysis accepted and reacted from as true operates as a conditioning reflex that becomes in a sense and automatic response that maps out the situation in terms of definitions and meanings made and accepted in the past. Indeed the range of such judgements and strategies constitute one's sense of identity in the world; our conditioned sense of self. The sense of freedom of such an identity is freedom FROM perceived threat and freedom to maintain self-protection and prevail over such threat or at least keep it at bay.

The resort to offensive strategy as effective defence then follows and is justified by the perceived threat, and wounds from the past become valued and restated as value in supporting one's offensive or justified strategies of prevailing or manipulating outcomes and behaviours.

The 'chess game' of reading the strategies of others and developing counter strategies becomes the box within which thinking then has to operate to have any validity. One strand in the overall game of strategies is that of libertarianism. All strands operate and support each other as an identity in struggle or game of power - where power has been redefined in terms of minds that are equated with or limited to bodies, acting upon each other, along a set of meanings arising from the belief and experience one is not free, whole, and worthy.

THAT such conditioning occurs and becomes our personality construct is observable. But the capacity to observe it in act - within our own consciousness is itself an awakening of consciousness at a level that is not enacting the identity of conditioned reaction but free to accept it, or allow and invite a fresh perspective that is a current take on the whole situation - accommodating to one's readiness and willingness to accept and act from a perspective of wholeness. This is a spontaneous event and not the result of machinations of mind - and yet it may be filtered through machinations of mind as part of accepting it is in fact what is desired.

The be free flowing presence may be similar to being 'in the zone' because its spontaneity is in a sense quite thoughtless and selfless - yet not as a result of any denial or coercive intent to suppress or diminish thought or self. there is simple a sense of getting out of one's own way and allowing a unified desire - that is no longer oppositional to but embracing of all that is present in relevance and resonance to the current theme of focus and desire.

Oppositional will is a key idea in the redefinition or the negation of free will - which is prior to any idea or definition about it. Indeed  minds that think they are bodies may define freewill in body terms to act without restraint  - without opposition - and yet also to limit and restrain the acts of others that do not support or ally with their own ideal or idol or model of conditions that must be met for them to feel themselves free.

The shifting balances of meanings, judgements, reactions and perceptions that operate as the 'balance of power' themselves become the object of attention - to come up with strategies of negative cooperation in which self-limitation is imposed and accepted as an attempt to equalize or bring parity wherein specific points of focus are partially addressed at the level of behaviour - if not at cause. Such 'sharing' and 'equality' then becomes a new arean of offensive manipulation through which any minority 'victim' can become a proxy for a third party agenda to use to undermine existing levels of integrity and function - and indeed engage naked enslavement plunder and coercive dominion in the guise of regulatory capture and control through the ideas and identities developed in the attempt to become free. Checkmate!

Rediscovering a true willingness for Life

Though couched in a reply to a single point in another's posting, this writing points to the heart of much that is operating as 'stuck' or 'war' in our day.

The original context of my post is here. (down in the comments where the Daily Bell posted that "the weakness of socialism is that SOMEONE has to decide how to distribute revenues etc")

In any relationship of shared or common purpose decisions are to be arrived at. How they are arrived at is a 'freedom' in that we can engage our presence in whatever way we are moved, but that they will be decided is inevitable - because even deciding not to decide is an outcome.
I hold and teach that communication is the honest means for arriving at an outcome and is thus a way of free willingness to participate rather than engage coercive intent that seeks to co-opt or usurp a process of communication with a fixed agenda - or indeed a private agenda.
The 'battle of political identities' works as a fixed template of mutually destructive assertions and invalidations that become a definition for 'stuck'.
The personal identity itself is the level that is being defined in a fixed and negative framework. Hence the 'stuck' is actually the opportunity to become curious of the underlying belief structure of one's personal identity. This of course is the last thing that occurs or attracts the desire to animate and embody such identity - and hence is why many human beings save such learning for their last moments or only when all else has demonstrably failed.
In any relationship, a process of willingness for a communication will result in a perspective from which a step may be taken as an expression of such willingness. It may come from the leader, or the follower, or from or through any agency - but the focus is in the listening for the way of it.
In war, the focus is on blocking and coercing communication because it is seen as a threat to a fixed point of view - which is NOT open to communication.
Despite the collective choice for a mind or war, communication IS occurring but unconsciously and beneath the capacity of a filtered mentality to recognize and accept - and so there is what is actual and there is a perceptual disconnect which is maintained and reinforced via the mechanism of conditioned reaction.
True Authority is that which the human consciousness has defaulted to usurp. But it remains true that if we listen in the heart, with integrity, we uncover information and perspective that serves a reintegrative purpose. But to persist in asserting a self-wilfullness of disconnecting fixed position serves a segregative and disconnecting 'divide and rule' mentality.
The forms that 'divide and rule' can express itself through are legion - but it is not the form that is the meaning - but the mentality of its embodiment.
Form-focussed mentality IS a conditioned program. Discernment feels through such presentations for what is actually communicating. If the form of a communication is masquerading as a relationship, it is not to be engaged with at that level but discernment is called forth as to how best to communicate as an expression of an actual willingness for relationship. If there were 'set rules' as to how to relate, there would be no dance of life, no shared journey of discovery, no revelation of the nature of love - but simply a blind mechanism.
When SOMEONE is given - or assumes power to make decisions as a personal capacity then a deception is engaged in by which Consciousness or true Relations is denied to the playing out of competitive appetite - of a self-specialness pitted against others. In itself this need not be seen as a SIN - but as a habit that once owned, becomes a choice that can be reevaluated in the true context of the moment at hand. But while our 'self-gratifications' are seen as SIN, they are hidden, masked, dressed up in forms of respectability until the society decides sin is simply the natural way of human mechanism and redefines it as honesty.
All the 'isms' are obsolete. Ideology is obsolete. The mentality of coercion is starkly revealed that was always active before but less obvious to those engaged in their identity.
Here at the end of such identity is a stark choice; a mentality of assertive coercive denial or a willingness to listen and in a sense be reintegrated to the Consciousness that is always present beneath the appearances and conditionings which are in a sense our co-creation in absence of a deeper integrity.
For the world we experience is not just 'happening to us' but is filtered and given meanings that we have personally and collectively accepted and DECIDED to make our own.
If a SOMEONE has to make decision as to how to live then let it be arrived at in an honourable way - allowing that we are deeply habituated to fear and cannot abandon our old belief system until we have grown a new one.
The willingness to listen is also the desire that any voice that is denied, rejected or un-heard is allowed to speak and is embraced in a willingness to listen. The miracle is uncovered where the grievance seemed to be - but is not under conscious 'control' of SOMEONE. To feel a way of walking and working together is a living relationship. The attempt to escape this by means of applying mechanical templates is the demand to remain UNCONSCIOUS - in dreams of a SOMEONE who refuses relationship to prefer instead the reflections of their own image-ing.
Everything that has been 'divided' and set against itself is a faceted WHOLE. This appreciation is not withheld us - excepting we each withhold our true presence from our creations - from our thought, belief and definitions - and engage a partiality at the expense of our own wholeness instead of creatively exploring a unique perspective within a wholeness.
The term free market is used and abused like any other symbol. A market of deception may be propagated as 'free to get more without giving true value'. This mentality collectively engaged is effecting planeticide. Disconnecting from Life in order to coerce and exploit it has only one outcome. The idea of a private mentality over and against all else is not a true foundation - even if it can be experienced as if it were reality.

What ACTUALLY occurs as a result of privatisation tends to be a corporate asset stripping and downsizing that turns LIFE into CASH into DEBT.

What is called for is a RE-alignment with true purpose.

WHAT is HEALTH? - and our individual and collective responsibility for promoting and extending it? What is the remit of a NHS.

Be aware that the taxpayer funds a system that pours money into a racket that makes us sick and herds us into managements systems for an ever more mechanised and medicalised definition of human being.

Our thinking is sick and needs to be reevaluated at its foundation. Consciousness responsibility is first awakened consciousness - but the word conscious is now presumed or applied to conditioned mentality that is indeed a mechanical and manipulatable system.

The coercive manipulation of human being is practised at many levels, as if second nature, and without recognition of its true costs and illusory benefit.

Those who believe and act out 'dog eat dog' = Human Being are only able to deliver forms of war in various disguises of 'balancing interests'.

The heart knows better, but we (generally) don't trust it because we are not in control (coercion) nor hold its ways to account (control). BUT the true and tangible presence of compassion, caring, of offering a genuine service and embodying cultural values in shared purpose, is SELF EVIDENT and needs to be the CONTEXT in which our various skills, abilities and decisions are brought into play.

However this requires a significant EDUCATION from the mentality that acts lovelessly (without true self-responsibility) and demands that others with drugs and hi-technology support it's habit.

A process of education is not coercively applied but willingly embraced and SHARED. Mistakes are PART of and true opportunity FOR LEARNING! Blame culture is anathema to growing trust, facilitating genuine communication and healthy outcome - but is the inevitable symptom of a fearfully coercive and manipulative mentality. LEARN from the symptoms for they are messengers for the heart's realignment.

Political Bankruptsy

The current set of ideas in orthodox political thought are as bankrupt as the financial system that subverted and distorted them from their original inspirations.

Such 'politics' is a politics of perception modelling and management; the art of masking and manipulating one's actual agenda, which is one of fear, power and control.

Uncovering this aspect of our human conditioning can support the idea that we are a machine running according to laws that can be determined and thus used to control society in ways that 'save us' from the evils which frustrated or undermined 'progress'.

This idea seduces those who themselves have not owned their own fears and who cling to identities of control that select and project particular evils that are then to be eradicated.

Behind the idealists are those who fund, nurture, subvert and infiltrate, so as to use the self-blinded to serve a power agenda - which has absolutely no allegiance to the ideals excepting while it serves their interest to seem to do so.

The systems that are supposed to eradicate or defend against evils have become systems that propagate and perpetuate them. They become 'rackets'.

But whereas a few bad apples can be flushed out, systemic corruption is a pervasive mental blindness that defends against being exposed.

The appeal to government to protect us from our fears, brings a kind of governance that 'manages' our perceptions and 'protects' us from our true freedom.

Only the willingness to own our own fears and move through them, allows freedom. Freedom is being who you are rather than attempting to fit into what you are not. The latter does not support health and well being, it can only fail, over and over again.

Mr Blair offers a glimpse of a tip of the iceberg.
The Mafia 'capitalism' that is practised beneath the financial, political and corporate façade is war. It has always been war by stealth and uses overt war when resisted, but in the past there were more checks and balances or natural limitations. Globalisation operates a consolidation of power - regardless of the appearance of 'nations'. Power corrupts.

Corruption's war is on all that lives. So of course anyone else's perspective - no matter how many or how honestly or passionately held - is invalid. The victors write the history, make the movies, and manage perceptions. Therefore victory is the only politics. Power dictates all outcomes and uses whatever means it determines. What is the power behind Mr Blair? It isn't the Labour Party!

Overt war such as on Iraq is waged on nations that block or attempt to break away from the global dominance of the so called 'west'. And when required, on institutions, corporations, science, media or anything else that does not align to its directives.
War is used to destabilise all sides of conflict and profit from destruction.

The adage and modus operandi of such power is divide and rule. To some degree we already have differences and fears that can be fanned into flames. And new terror threats can be designed to shock and hold a state of emergency... indefinitely? Or long enough to establish conditions that cannot be overturned or reversed.

None of which allows for the natural processes and functions of consciousness, community, society to align along healthy or wholistic lines of growing trust and communication. Technocracy is a cover for power agenda. Modern Economics is not a science, it is a weapon.

True economics is the Golden Rule - and is succinctly stated in what you put out, is what you get back. This does not SEEM true because we are already deceived into a scam that costs us our vision. But it is true. What You put out is what You get back.
If you put forth ideas of vengeance... there you go.

I feel that things are getting to such a situation as to refect our consciousness back to us as crazy, addicted, insane. Only in realising we are insane can a spark of sanity begin to light the way. Otherwise see everyone ELSE as insane and join Mr Blair.

Systems failure awakens responsibility

At the Daily Bell, there are articles and conversations that challenge many aspects of the apparently dominant economic and political orthodoxy.

As always, I feel it impossible to constructively comment within the frameworks that are accepted 'reality', yet the convergence of the global changes occurring with a rewakening Consciousness is my appreciation, and so I an commenting a witness to such perspective into the attention there.

The attempts to control, answer or indeed manage the world, are part of the problem. What is called for is a re-wakening Consciousness - as the basis from which to live. What I am calling 'Consciousness responsibility'.

Libertarianism or freedom?

Commentary to article on the Daily Bell regarding Conservatism and Libertarianism - with reference to various other ism.

Regardless of any forms of thinking, they can be used to substitute for the freedom and communication of shared and embodied idea - and thus become a separation device for a coercive or mechanical subjugation of the living idea to the dead concept.

The freedom of idea creation and its embodiment cannot be got rid of, because it is you, but can seem to be lost to self definitions of a coercive intent. That we then seem to suffer within our consciousness and by reflection

While we merely react to, we persist in, and experience and identify as. This merely re-enacts past decisions or interpretations in perhaps new clothes.

That we are not merely reactive mechanism to be programmed, managed and subjugated is not proven by taking the bait of opposing such idea - but by embodying the freedom and communication of the shared idea. Of unalloyed inspiration.

The shared idea is not coercive upon us but reveals us to ourselves and each other. To the mind that is engaged in conflict and identifies itself thereby, the shared nature of existence is 'game over' and so it is predicated on persistence against all odds - and ultimately against all that lives. Fearful survival as a psyche, identified exclusively with the body.

Such mentality of a segregative self is blind by choice, though it insists there is no light or that it has killed it or been somehow abandoned. Its foundation depends on knowing not what it does and of course it redefines freedom in terms of the separated and secret self interest, which embodies as a 'war of powers'.

To be unconflicted in oneself is to embody the freedom to communicate within oneself such that nothing is denied or rejected. But what is chosen from all the strands that are presently moving, is that which is relevant and resonant to one's joy.

Enlivenment is not really a resurrection, so much as the sloughing off of what does not serve nor belong to us in our connected joy. If libertarianism is not an expression of the freedom it purports to aspire to or deliver, then it has been 'infiltrated and usurped' by a loveless or joyless intent.

Good News! A loveless of joyless intent has been uncovered whereby to own and release and thus more freely embrace and embody joy. If not for the feedback-reflections of our interaction we would not uncover our own self-imprisonments - and so gratitude is due to those who bring us such realisation - though they know not what they do,

The discovery that the light is not dead, nor absent, nor rejecting one's sense of self, is profound. A foundation uncovered that replaces that made in fear and darkness. Learning to live in true alignment amidst the old habit mentality is like a struggle - but is really a persistence and consistency of valuing one's self. This is inextricably linked with our valuing of each other and of Life - with a capital L - for life is not as we define it. It lives us and our experience of it is via the definitions and beliefs we choose and accept.

Perspective is always available, but identifying exclusively with a segregative mentality foregoes perspective to follow its own thinking. This is simply a matter of awakening responsibility as Consciousness. Yes, a capital C!

Unless our perspective opens to Consciousness itself, we merely persist in and as the same idea of 'power over'. And it is this that makes us unfree while we employ and engage it.

The emotion-backed opinion and demand that has been sold to the public as freedom to choose, market force efficiency and accountability for 'delivery', made into policy and legislation and enforced with self righteous blame and shame methods ... is coming home to roost.

Instead of a real relationship in which needs are discerned, and met proportionately with due priority, we have blind systems that divide everything into disconnected parts and then attempt to join them together in such a way as to tick the right boxes. We have people working so as to appear to be working or so as to account for their work in ways that undermine and disrupt their work.
That it is not bedlam is only because underneath all this nonsense, people actually care. They also care NOT to be vilified, penalised, deprived of funds or employment, and so mostly, common sense and uncommon discernment, are withheld from open communication.

Surely, the attempt to make humankind - and treat humankind in the image of the automaton, is simply a reflection of a certain kind of thinking - that itself is a loveless mechanical mode of manipulating externals with no regard whatsoever for the truth.

Now this mentality may seek to define truth and indeed prove that if there is such, it is current best theory or un-understandable scientific esoterica, but I am talking of the truth that can be felt, can be shared, can be honoured and trusted - and without which no human society or sanity is possible - indeed insanity depends on such truth to exist as a distortion - for it is a distortion of SOMETHING SANE.

What is the 'Second Coming' but the dawning in our mind of what is already in it but had been denied for self-seeking vanities? A Prodigal remembering.
And what is the emergence of the 'beast' but the exposure of the basis of a lovelessness which substitutes for a real relationship?

'It' will seek to apply ever more controls and rules and manipulations to 'engineer' a solution, but living relationships are not like mechanical systems that can be redesigned from an outside view, but must be rebuilt in trust and honest communication from within.

'Insanity who really cares, propaganda - all is phoney' sang Dylan. Opinion is a mask, we need to establish the conditions in which real communication can occur. We must grow trust from an honest account of where we really are - rather than presentations that meet 'correctness'. maybe it simply starts in our mind within ourself - but must extend as discernment and prompt call forth, or we deny the answers to our need.

Who or what really runs Wikipedia?

 On 'The Economist Explains' was the question and answer offered as to who really runs Wikipedia'. In passing I commented:

Though there MAY be personal executive decisions made, transparently or otherwise, and consciously or otherwise, the fact that comes to (my) mind is that the cultural presumptions of the 'age' are what set the values and goals within which and to which all else conforms.

Of course these are not set in stone and there is always a multiplicity of values and therefore purposes.

The ability to create a personal lens through which reality itself is apprehended, with its own set of meanings overlaid on and contra to the Meaning that Reality Is, constitutes a foundation of the human consciousness - not unlike the inheritance (from a yet living father) of the Prodigal Son.

It seems to me that where a loveless and private self serving intent is DENIED the right to impose itself upon the mind at large, the 'picture is brought into a truer focus with less distortion or filtering.

Yet where a voice is denied hearing, it is reinforced in its own sense of being denied expression. Like the fairy not invited to the party, it will, sooner or later spoil the party.
Finding ways to include expressions without propagandising for or against them is the way of relinquishing the investment in the personal sense and opening to a shared sense of value.
This is not available to the mentality that wants to be right in contradistinction to the wrong of another; who NEEDS the 'enemy' in order to vindicate their own personal identity-assertions.

Controlling reality is of course a joke. Yet controlling the interpretation and access to reality is taken as a very very serious matter - within our own mind and within the larger cultural aggregations of personal interests of such mentality.

Whatever else we my seem to be doing, we are learning about our own mind - or indeed have so 'personalized' or rationalized the issues that we are simply blindly reactive within our own mind-set. (The set in which we have temporarily identified ourselves as validated).

The reactive mind is an aspect of our thinking which tends to usurp a true perspective, though it does promote an ever evolving multiplicity of a defence/offence mechanism. Being willing to not use this mentality allows all sides or voices in any issue to be included at their essence - if not in the forms of its current expression.

That information can be used as a weapon of coercion and control is true - but that truth can be itself illuminated.

The ownership and survival of that which inspires and embodies the communication, is usually what compromises its integrity, because any threat to its existence is felt to be justifiably blocked or opposed - and here will be the area where truth is made the first casualty to the 'managed' war of what then comes after.

Although Jesus (mythically or otherwise), provided a cultural basis for the age in terms of challenging the power of the mind-in-fear, he would not have been able to contribute to Wikipedia excepting on already agreed definitions. He spoke out of an authority that is not citable or referencing to external 'authorities'- but from a directness of observation that can be verified by any who hear in a willingness to observe likewise.
However, that doesn't mean he wouldn't be able to point to it for background reference.
The process of discernment is different from scepticism in that it pauses from reaction whilst listening within the heart - absent of its own (reactive) thinking. Whereas scepticism does not yield in trust to being itself but defends the point of view that IT has accepted as it own - as a result of thinking - which of course includes some measure of discernment - but only where it is felt less threatening to its own existence.

Misinformation or even unrelated or inappropriate information, is like noise that blocks the signal. Consciously aligned purpose is the nature of the sharing of the signal. It is life-affirming to withdraw support from that which undermines integrity of the unifying purpose itself.

Communication itself is more than information, for its flow or sharing expresses and embodies a willingness to share. This itself is a higher purpose and has its own communication - or rather communion or connection and sharing in a level of Meaning that cannot itself be rationalised into bits of information. (without simply being substituted for by 'bits of information').

To meet the Need of our Times

This is a comment into one of many articles on Eastleigh by election (British politics)
As I say below - I don't address that level - but while in the arena of an article about our political, social and economic society, I felt some thoughts arise and let them write.

Do our opinions constitute a process of discernment of truth? Do we put their opinion aside in order to see more clearly or simply seek support and ammunition for what we have already decided /been induced to think is  own thinking? Maybe such conditioning is already voting for something else to think for us? Democracy needs to be more than mob, but do we know how to communicate in ways that are self revealing and inspire trust instead of trial by combat?

Yet underneath it all something tends to work - enough at least to get from one thing to another - because here we are! And yet a superficial self-seeking unconsciousness piles up unpaid debts of more kinds than money. But at least we can pass on something to our children and their children. Perhaps opening such a can of worms is part of a deeper need for renewal. One cant just rebrand with a makeover and expect to stay in touch with reality - whatever that may be.

An individual who wants conflicting things and becomes fearful, can react in ways that compound confusion and induce guilt and yet more fear until something really breaks down and then they can calm down and honestly question their own thinking - all of it - even at its roots.  Without listening, isn't our mind is simply a conditioned defence mechanism  that can readily be manipulated to reaction? But is that just a front or a mask to keep the unwanted at bay?

Can such as we are, find a unified perspective within ourselves that has something to gift rather than trying to get? Or will such essentially be forced on us by having to 'adjust' to a reality that no longer supports our vanities? The big tar barrel that shuts up Messrs Tweedledee-dum is usually overwhelming force. I like to think one day it could be the true silence of not knowing - and needing to be the desire for help that uncovers what we need to know.

To meet the need of our times, we need to wake up and embody the characteristics that are missing or lacking. Trust and honesty being chief among them. Ultimately I don't care what packaging it comes in, I feel we need to relate together in a different way.
Vested interests that have power to protect their part against needed change are the last to come on board, and the mind that thinks to sit on the fence and make opinionated entertainments of life is one such.

Perhaps Tolkien was prescient in seeing the little people as the ones who would relinquish power. It cannot come from the 'top' down.
As long as we try to work out our mental health in the problems outside of us - it wont work except to keep those aspects of our mind that we hide, from being healed or wholed.

Not especially about UKIP or Eastleigh - but the Movement of change pervades all such instances - often under our noses unnoticed.

Democracy in America

Democracy in America is a blog at the economist.com. I commented this in an article about Michelle Obama's speech - but it is the nature of the political relationship and communication that I felt to address.

Democracy in America... has become a naked attempt to manipulate rather than communicate.
The mimicry of communication by good (or poor) acting is perhaps best extolled by the USA - but is by no means particular to them.
The tribal nature that is drummed up in party conventions is a subset of the worship of one's nation - often equated with "God bless America".

The USA along with most other nations is not really a nation so much as a host in which corporate entities operate under the cover of whatever brand of dreams are particular to that region. Are not all governments puppets to the financial system that owns them and tells them what they are not allowed if they exceed their remit?
Meanwhile the assets are stripped and culture hollowed out.

It may be true that to tell it like it is, would be to be unelectable at best. But it may also be that in the era of a sophisticated manipulation of perception, no one - or almost no one would be able to hear.

God bless us all! - meaning, let no one be excluded from the worthiness of love's awareness.

The tea party and the occupy movement are symptoms of a break in the trust that held the American dream in place - but reaction is not itself going to uncover a fresh inspiration.

Democracy anywhere, is a fuzzy idea that COULD indicate a cultural willingness to communicate rather than use the forms of communication in order to prevail.

Competition has its own mentality; winning. The American Dream is like the lottery - everyone can be a Winner!
Getting things at the expense of others is not the same as living clearly and vigorously from a sense of shared integrity and value.

This wont come from politicians, but of an individual's desire for sanity. Dreams turn to nightmares, but sanity is waking up from a misperception.

Being human remains a particular kind of schoolroom. We're all in it together, playing apart, because that is the idol of independent identity. Love's awareness sees that for what it is, a story spun to play out a sense of specialness that cannot work even when it temporarily succeeds.

I look forward to the fertility that the collapse of the old thinking will bring but I don't expect it to go while it offers the illusion of control.

Politics at the brink

What is missing - in my opinion - is a process of real communication.
Communication has to a large degree been usurped by manipulative deceptions, presented in the form of a communication.

When we think we already know - we cease to be receptive and merely assert ourselves blindly in a template fashion with little sense of meeting or sharing.

The basis for a true renewal of culture is in those lives in which a willingness to listen or discern beyond all self-invested thinking, connects with an experience of a different order than asserting a personal identity. And we will learn to live out from a different premise than the old presumption and will seem foolish or irrelevant to the problem-locked mentality of the old - until the masks and deceptive distractions are laid bare and true nature of the problem is revealed.

Identification with the mask is inherently conflicted. The masked persona was made to hide and look away from fears and guilt that were intolerable - as part of a 'self protective' mind.

Whenever our controls break down our identity evaporates and our fears and guilt are exposed. The old way uses the 'other' as enemy and is defined by adversity. But to abide amidst the dissonances of human judgement without resorting to the 'mind of a self protective lie', is to see the fear and guilt evaporate - and regain a fresh perspective from which to truly act, communicate and in which to abide.

Before religions were usurped for purposes of manipulation, they sought a vocabulary of being that was not of or for the rational sense - but for the intuitive sense.

Honesty is essential for trust is essential for communication is essential for sanity, harmony and health.

The fearful cannot afford honesty and employ fear itself as protection from truth. But they thus enslave themselves to a lack of any true ANYTHING!

If we are indeed as bankrupt as I see we are - and I do not only speak financially - then the truth of that is better faced sooner - so as to activate the next step.

The Prodigal Son is a very simple story - and yet contains profound pointers.
To wake from a dream of self-delusion by remembering our Source - through a willingness 'to serve in our Father's House'. (Willing to serve the Life in all), and leave behind the attempt to separately spend 'an inheritance' of a yet Living Father - (For Life is not absent from where you are and where you meet your fellow man and your world).

It is the Father that calls us 'Son" - and not our own thinking. And in this experience - which is not of a separating mind - we find ourselves in a true communion with our brother or sister and world - rather than using them for private selfish intent.

Cultural and historical dominance and development

History can be seen as  a current of ideas that are fleshed out in human experience. Some 'thrive' become 'dominant' and develop until they lose their initial vitality and become stagnant identifications rather than active aspiration. A constantly shifting environment of ideas that themselves spawn all sorts of further ideas. All of which is outpictured and reflects back to our mind.
The idea of dominance is a very deeply held idea and is associated with an individual person or group wielding power and maintaining privileged conditions.

There are all sorts of factors that can be seen as a confluence of nature and nurture, in the unfolding development of human events.

I would like to suggest - that the ideas use whatever channels are optimal and that the human ego - whether personal or national - is part of the programme and not the mind of the programming.

Genetic inheritance means that ideas which are fundamentally separative from and undermining of - Our Life as a Communing Intelligence - pass on their foundation no matter what form they take.

The notion of control and dominance is central to such a mind - yet it actually creates discord and scarcity and meets apparent breakdown and failure.

The global society is brought about via corporate activity and intent that is in many ways the 'dominant and controlling power' regardless of the apparent dominance of host nations.

However, the consequences of instability are increasingly dire and cannot be hidden, or disguised amidst propaganda and distraction.

So I expect a fundamental awakening - at a deeper level than our history could suggest - albeit via great stimulus to find a truly sane basis for living.

Curiously, mere thinking blinds us to the current of Living Thought that could be called inspiration, guidance and a truly heartfelt  intelligence.

Tea Party, media circus, celeb politics and egomania

Believing in something might be an inspiration. But if, when you look at it, it gets all its juice from needing to oppose or hate, then hey ho! - it's more of the same old con that incites fear or hatred in order to then win allegiance or undermine the perceived 'enemy'.
But this increasingly becomes - not an issue of principle - but of a clash of illusions - each promoting their own brand of - the same old con.

One of the good things about insanity coming into the open is that beliefs that programmed society but have become degraded by mis use can be released of authority and the true values that they originally represented can be uncovered and the value lived out - shared - not as persuasion via manipulative intent - but in peace.

Peace is where sanity is.

'Masturbation' can also be used as a symbol of self regarding fantasy. Who, reading this will cast the first stone?

Rather than use some degraded idea of 'sin' as a mudslinging tactic - I'd just say that self regarding fantasy is something the mind can engage in - but it's a disconnect with actuality - being only an imaginative 'reality'. If enough people agree they can role play. If they then agree to disagree, they can also role play.

In an insane mind, anything can mean anything - though the ones who believe their enemy is here! - now there! - and them! - and also those others! Do believe it - and experience it as if it were real.

Communication cannot occur until there is some willingness to calm, regain a measure of trust and see the value in acting in new ways that do not escalate fear.
