A conflicted mind is an oxymoron and yet such is the the virtual state of consciousness of humanity.

We are only really free to be what we are. If we try to be what we are not we can call that free will and defend it against all Reason.

To put this another way - we are not the mask or persona that is used and accepted as if it were real in mutual rituals of reinforcement of the idea of separated consciousness.

A separated consciousness USES relationships to GET. This correlates exactly with the state of the world that we co create.

It is not going to resolve at the persona level or via the persona mentality because all of that is about maintaining a control mentality over (one's) Life.

We already ARE some far-future civilisation and the warnings and lessons of our distant past are held in stories that have come through in one form or another, even when the details are forgot and the essence simplified into folk tales and woven into the fabric of the world and times of the people who told them.
More than enough wisdom to awaken and realign humanity with reality is available, but the stories to which import and favour are given are those that serve to validate and justify a masked wish to self-specialness in which his thinking convinces him that his thinking is his guide and protector from reality, by cultivating a sense of withdrawal from, and control over it.
Even amidst the 'end times' of a globalized magnification of slave-thinking to a machine mentality does humanity 'see' the problem as other people who are blind, selfish or deluded, rather than awaken to this as a self-realisation.

Passing the buck, or playing to win by evading and minimising blame-humiliation-rejection-penalty, is a masking and defence of distraction and deception that has no real regard for others, for the mask has become taken as the 'self' that requires survival at the cost of honesty, of love's recognition and relation.
The thinking of the mask cannot afford love's honesty - and so it is portrayed as weak or heretical - insane even! - by the cliques of self-interest that seek to be free of the perceived  'constraints' of a truly shared reality. And the form of love is used in guile of presentation to soften and win advantage over the gullible.

In the digital era one can engage attention in screen reality or don a virtual reality headset and be so immersed in experience that one forgets it is a surrogate extension.
This is a reflection in our world of a process of displacement that is already active in our minds, as the desire to get or become different than what actually is.
Prior to the experience of physical separation is a sense of loss and an impulse of getting, that cannot be separated from each other, for the one supports the other in displacing the awareness of All That Is - as it is, through the engagement of division and interpretation that seeks to define and control self-reality instead of yielding into and flowing as the be-ing that is our only true existence - regardless of whatever layers or levels of 'experience' that we mutually define and believe real in its moment of appearance.

No one lives and is existence-aware by their own word or deed.
When the displacements from reality are of such a complexity as to become unworkable - even by ingenious redistributions of man made manipulations - then a period of adjustment is inevitable, in which what was believed true simply is not and does not hold. And what is true, simply is and will not be denied.

True foundations are simply evident when the false is seen truly - though it may feel as if a loveless and fearful darkness has been replaced by a gift of light.
The shadow cannot let go of a shadow. That which IS real of you wakens to its true nature. A different world must arise to a different foundation, though it takes time of willingness to release and accept realignment with recognition rather than the old thinking reaction-habit.

Teaching fear doesn't work - even when dressed up as a pseudo religion. Nor does living from fear. A manipulative intent feels dishonest regardless of the data set and scientism is so in bed with corporate interests as to acquire a layer of public distrust even apart from its constant revisions or oddball perspectives.
In many ways the mind of science is the mind that created the possibility of man made global warming, because it gives power to the mind of exploitation and control over nature at ever more subtle and powerful levels. Where is the wisdom to use it? Where does wisdom arise from?
Whether influenced by man or not, Global change is in progress, and patterns of climate as well as human cultural assumptions are no longer predictable and no longer work. We are obliged to change, radically.

What we need is not fearful carbon or fiscal austerity mentality, but true vision. This doesn't come from science though scientists may also be visionaries. We need a positive unifying vision of life and the ways of living that extend as expressions of that vision. For when we recognize our heart's desire, we give acceptance and freely embrace it - but fear manipulates and substitutes its own control mentality in place of a true responsibility for life.

(I stopped the comment here and put a link to this blog. I then essayed in the moment, the vision as it is alive in me and as words came to clothe it. It is not in the words, but in the willingness to listen in your being, in some measure of trust and honesty. For what is denied cannot be heard, but what is in awareness can be discerned as to its true gift).

The vision I share must start with the individual in true relation. Unless we uncover a true foundation, there can be no vision. To be open to this we have to be willing to question everything we believe true and be open for insight from within Life rather than imposing or asserting a will upon it. The mind that is locked in its own certainties will refuse this or not even recognize the call. But conditions of our lives in the world will help us question what we used to take as de facto certainties.

The other thing to share now is that this foundation is effectively seeking your discovery. You are not alone. You do not live to survive or as robots to a genetic machine - you live to behold and share Life - and as a direct expression of the Movement that Is Life. The mind that has developed and taken as your own, is a device for experiencing through, and not your wholeness awake. The personal sense, given priority in an exclusive identification, blocks and obscures the  direct expression of Life and thereby experiences its Life as fragmented, chaotic, threatened and threatening. It seeks to escape or overcome its inherent dilemma in ever more complex and dense evasions in dissociation and distraction that work to deny current awareness. But, there is no escape from reality and one has to realign with truth by letting self-illusion go - even as our collapsed financial system is being forced to give way to something that actually serves real value and true wealth.

Reality is not merely external to our mind. This is what humankind is afraid of, and what a control mentality seeks to maintain as its overriding priority; its own definitions of reality, as arise simultaneously to the definition and determination of self.

The polarisation of the mind in conflicted and self-definined differentiation is effecting a defence against a unified Intelligence that is not a controlling intent, but a sharing intent. Each of us is a microcosm of the whole. You will find the world within that you see without. Fear, manipulation, deception and control? They are reflected in your experience. To fight them is to feed them. Look beyond them in yourself for what is beneath them.
Man makes all things in his own image - but they are not as he defines and he is not the maker of truth but can behold the light of truth and awaken that light as the truth of Man. Unless our 'truths'  serve the awakening beyond a mind of control and definition, to a true wonder, appreciation and honouring, they but serve self-illusion rather than free us from it.

There is a natural order that does not  operate on imposed control, but is of a conscious relationship within life itself. This is out of reach of control mentality and none who do not relax, can proceed, for it is trust embodied. Not trust in a believed or agreed outcome - but trust in the Movement of being that IS the Life Force though a Living Universe. It is not 'other' to us like an external god - but we have become 'other' to it and strangers to ourselves and our World.

There are no warnings in what I offer, but action plays out reaction in the nature of Universal Mind. Mind is not as our thought and sensory input defines it. Nor a thing apart at all from anything or anyone. The attempt to divide and rule is not inherent in Mind but in the wish to experience a mind all your own - along the line of your own creation.

Whereas wishes can seem to fill the surface mind to no effect beyond a personal daydream of virtual existence in self-commentary, a wish at the foundation level of the mind can become substitute for your true devotion and identity and set all things false that ARE true!

The setting of a true foundation is uncovered automatically in willingness to look directly upon a false one. It is not the job of a false self sense to atone for or overcome its false self. The meaningless must simply be recognized as meaningless instead of being used fro fear, guilt and control.

The vision is not a plan of control to be implemented upon, as a method of becoming something in our own right. It is the natural inheritance of this and every Living Moment - as it is released from the imposition of a plan of control mentality seeking to become something in its own right!

The undoing of the nightmare, of the grievance, of the hate and guilt of a false sense, is the coming back into a true inheritance - of what can be called a "Living Father" - because we inherit all that we are from the Extension of Living Mind in which all is, as it is - and not as we would think to have it be. The separating sense projects fear and guilt and conflictedness upon Life, and reacts to it as if it were 'outside our mind', but such attempt to push it out are what feed it reality and keep it in your experience; in your mind.

The resources invested in defence and propaganda are released to creative expression and communication. The purposes of seeking a false self protection are replaced with the purpose of seeking the opportunities to share and be grateful. This is no mere overlay, but the release from tyranny and madness. For we NEED to learn and to demonstrably want the way of opening and maintaining our channel of communication and communion in Life - as our context of learning and guidance, from which true relation expresses spontaneously AS the wholeness of our situation.

The desire to think-understand Life is heavily alloyed with the wish to control it. Understanding is given, but as a by-product of acceptance. Accepting Life, you will understand therefrom. But accepting the egocentric mentality, must cover a wholeness of being and set one against another.

Whereas the ego framework makes work of impossible complexity and proportion, true relation requires only the trust in the movement of your true desire revealed. Revealed because a false or surface reaction is no longer accorded authority or validity in your mind.

We are afraid of our true desire, because we are afraid to be hurt at our very core. We carry a memory of being hurt at our core that was so painful, its shadow has carried through the ages and yet each knows as its own separation from love's presence shared.

But where we once made a choice in error and from it suffered division in confusion of fear and guilt, we are now able to look at in a from another perspective. From a willingness to be shown instead of a desire to prevail over. Is this not so?

The desire to control Life is passing, even though it enacts itself writ large upon our world. When a new foundation is set, there is no argument! The desire to argue is the attempt to cling on in suffering, in the mistake that it is reward!

Information is not power, but is called for and given as asked. To learn what you want and ask, is to expect and receive its unfolment in your experience. What you need to know is being offered, but what you demand or try to take will seem to deny you. Coming back into true focus will meet difficulty, but the difficulty will reveal the nature of the mind that can now be recognized and released easily, because one is no longer deceived. To want conflicting things is to want conflict - no matter how ingeniously it is maintained and presented. In all honesty you do not want it - though you seem to want incompatible or warring outcomes. The only way to know and be whole and at peace, is to put down the thinking mind and its emotional hooks and snares, so as to feel the movement of Life as a wholeness of being. You must be willing to make time for this or you will be wasted in time in place of truly appreciating the presence of Life.

The knowing that is inherent to being is not coercive upon you, but if you elect to ignore it over time, you will become as one who cannot hear and cannot be reached, until your world falls out from under you and you wake in fear and confusion without a culture of welcome and recognition for your very Life.

Google and Bing accused of helping illegal music downloads

Google and Bing create 'algorithms' to filter results that are supposed to serve the searcher AND the provider of content. These are studied or inferred by those seeking to manipulate their position and lead to the the distortion of service.
The 'algorithms' are periodically updated to shake off such manipulations - such as are deemed unwanted by Google/Bing.

The process is not accountable or transparent. While it mostly works, we tend to simply use it and work around or through its frustrations.

If an opaque organisation engages in censoring results for criminal or copyright matters, it can also do so for political or social and economic matters.

The game of cat and mouse with file sharing will not end by simply blocking results from Google and Bing - even if such were possible.

There is a common interest in legal content holders and distributors in creating search portals and trusted portal sites where integrity of content can join with a mutually valuing relationship with those who value such work.

Some of the reaction against the legal models is of a sense of being milked by business interests that have absolutely no concern with any real relationship beyond their own corporate profits.

The potential of the internet is of receiving abundant return on micropayments. Because millions are involved in the movement of attention, and the old models of distribution are attempted, and circumvented.

The integrity of the net is something to be engineered into it, because by default it is serving dis-integrated interests. If micropayment - and I mean MICRO - was made for the act of attention to content or resource - then there would be a basis of funding that is free of advertising and corporate interest.

The posturing of morality is generally hypocritical - and is attempting to use coercive means to get others to abide by a set of rules that they may not otherwise adopt or conform to. But the desire to create a system that is just, uncoercive and fair is sane - though the nature of a system is organisational and the nature of the heart is integrative.

To do only those things that focus on and promote the good the beautiful and the true, might achieve more than reacting against those things that seem to break in and upset the rules.

Making war on dr*gs or t*rror or anything else for that matter - is an indicator of a mind in reaction, that does not see the real nature of what is occurring - but only its own fearful interpretations - which it validates by reenactment.

When any private interest holds the gate or the key - corr*ption follows. Checks and balances should not tie us down, but should be able to effectively pause, examine and discern the movement of health, and be able to act on its behalf.

Trust, is the expression of integrity and a disintegrated society is one in which trust is no longer consciously valued, shared or even accorded reality.

Nothing of our living but is of a total dependence on Power beyond our compass of imagination. Trust is our most fundamental response to Existence.

Lawlessness, fear and a greater Embrace

(This originally started out as a response to 'Why don't we riot more? on a BBC site. As ever, I look to the underpinnings rather than the effects themselves. There are negative cooperations in which we mitigate or dampen the liabilities of war and conflict that are strategies of self seeking by mutual agreement - yet without any actual joining of heart, any intimacy of life shared). Then there is an idea of law as emanating from an Innate and abiding Wholenes and Sanctity of life - such as the law of Moses - which is not simply utility - but to serve as a stability for a more conscious life in alignment with - rather than in opposition to - revealed truth. Not as revealed or determined by man - but as revealed in the heart of one who trusts beyond their own works or the experience of their own ideas reflected. Practice of such receptivity is spontaneous movement of life - and is not dependent on religious beliefs or concepts - which arise from such pure experience and yet tend to become substitute for realisation. As images that distract from what cannot be defined.

It might seem that the fear rules the world because, ‘getting’ and ‘getting away with and not ‘getting’ caught are secretly enshrined in the heart and mind of man. When getting by force of will meets overwhelming opposition, strategies arise in the mind and evolve - born of the wish to prevail at least temporarily - as a life against overwhelming forces that can not finally be overcome or resolved - except perhaps by death!

But the true Power of love embraces the world, despite all experience of a fearful & coercive self-seeking that blindly attacks its own Source & Self. Its Guidance discerns from a true Peace of wholeness, as the basis of law of sameness, (Golden Rule) and law of oneness (Love). True Law is held in the heart. Coercion undermines heart-trust & ever demands more 'control'. But such insanity calls for healing, not feeding.

I think you'll find, when you look closely, the only law that counts is not God-fearing-love but the law of the jungle. The first law, your golden rule, is eat or be eaten. Feed yourself or you will become food.

Our thoughts are what we currently accept true for us. As we do accept, so do they program our perception and experience. Such fearful 'mind' as you indicate is to be uncovered - but it is a veneer of confusion that can be undone; healed, If you will. Apart from Love's reality, there can only be the mad scramble to 'get from' or avoid being deprived, even if civilly managed. Mind can deceive!



When life happens different than we expect, we seek to ‘regain control' by our thinking. But what IS to happen is NOT under our thinking-control, which reactively reenacts 'old tapes' BUT we can respond truly from a present discernment of life as it is. Everything in the ego-mind works to AVOID being still and simply knowing - such as to live out from a shared presence of life. A Prodigal waste!

Cultural and historical dominance and development

History can be seen as  a current of ideas that are fleshed out in human experience. Some 'thrive' become 'dominant' and develop until they lose their initial vitality and become stagnant identifications rather than active aspiration. A constantly shifting environment of ideas that themselves spawn all sorts of further ideas. All of which is outpictured and reflects back to our mind.
The idea of dominance is a very deeply held idea and is associated with an individual person or group wielding power and maintaining privileged conditions.

There are all sorts of factors that can be seen as a confluence of nature and nurture, in the unfolding development of human events.

I would like to suggest - that the ideas use whatever channels are optimal and that the human ego - whether personal or national - is part of the programme and not the mind of the programming.

Genetic inheritance means that ideas which are fundamentally separative from and undermining of - Our Life as a Communing Intelligence - pass on their foundation no matter what form they take.

The notion of control and dominance is central to such a mind - yet it actually creates discord and scarcity and meets apparent breakdown and failure.

The global society is brought about via corporate activity and intent that is in many ways the 'dominant and controlling power' regardless of the apparent dominance of host nations.

However, the consequences of instability are increasingly dire and cannot be hidden, or disguised amidst propaganda and distraction.

So I expect a fundamental awakening - at a deeper level than our history could suggest - albeit via great stimulus to find a truly sane basis for living.

Curiously, mere thinking blinds us to the current of Living Thought that could be called inspiration, guidance and a truly heartfelt  intelligence.

The Good news about the economy

Here is the good news:

We are being brought to a willingness and opportunity for a fresh perspective that will genuinely express spiritual and cultural renewal.

This is an individual shift that becomes a social movement because it is the individual that actually connects, discerns and communicates, and yet find that others are likewise becoming receptive to the same relevant insights.

To give the focus to what is wrong is disempowering. It is helpful to use the experience of fear, conflict, confusion and loss as am alarm to listen more deeply - with a greater honesty than our superficial strategies would allow.

True spiritual discernment has nothing to do with promoting personal belief systems or manipulating the world or others into the likeness of any kind of god - spiritual or material. It is simply the willingness to listen in the silence of our being - even amidst the chatter or drama of the world - with the trust and desire to let truth be revealed.

Ingenious thinking is not the way to truth but can be clearly seen in our times as a deception. And truth is not ever an object of our thought - nor can it be used as a shield or weapon in the play of human conflict.

The real culprit is not the shadowy super rich or their bankers - nor the politicians who operate within the confines dictated to them by the 'economics' that are espoused and shared as if meaningful and desirable.

We cannot 'think or spin our way out' of the conditions we have generated for ourselves but we can uncover a fresh appreciation of truth - of reality. And then we will see from a different perspective and live from a new basis - even amidst the seeming mess and chaos of human relationships.

To uncover or be restored to wholeness of being is not a goal - but is both a starting place and a way of traveling. To live 'outside' the heart results in greed for self in a disconnected sense of specialness. It despoils and exploits without knowing what it does for it sees its own 'needs' above all else - including truth. It is NOT a sound or sane basis for good housekeeping or a loving home.

It IS up to us individually to decide what is of value and to honour and align with it accordingly. If we give value to what cannot actually fulfill us we simply become possessed by our so called possessions.

We are afraid of our Spirit because we believe it calls for sacrifice, but in truth it is illusions that are released. Maintaining deceptions is an enormous burden and strain - that we are accustomed to as a slave to heavy chains.

To take a fresh look in an honesty of spirit is not in any way the same as to rebrand or redistribute presentations of realty so as to extend or maintain the status quo.

We feel fear, there is confusion, we seem to have lost, and yet face more loss - with a mounting tide of crises of which we have a diminishing capacity to respond to. The underlying models and mentalities that we have grown and relied on are part of the cause of the problems we face.

Is there not a better way of looking at this?
Do I want to find it?

Brave New World

I believe we need to re-evaluate much more than cutting costs and releasing an overbearing state. I believe we need to discover a saner basis for living together on this planet. Workability is not mere expediency - it is the hallmark of wisdom. To invite and support processes of trust and communication  - in a society that has eroded its own foundations - is a good start.

I envision a process of change and cultural renewal is underway that can not be the continuation of the politics of the last century. Economic constraints will be a constraining factor - but desire and joy for life must be the motive force. I believe this will become more obvious as it is seen that the old approaches simply can no longer work.

Everyone presumes that structure is fixed - but when the spirit goes out of structure it becomes a force against new life instead of serving it. Renewal is necessary - but it has to come out of a process of our own lives and cant just force 'good ideas' upon life.

There is much about our mentality writ large on western society - that is mean minded, self seeking and destructive or at least self undermining. Blaming others is a mechanism to let everyone else remain unchanged - but what we need is a true process of education.

Political changes can express and yet also nurture an organic process of change. There is a need for a deeper level of self honesty and responsibility than many may want. A true accounting must start from a better place than the distorted models that are not at all serving us well.
Nick Clegg has set a tone - now respond by joining - by engaging - not with the cynical politics of mere opinion or managed despair - but with desire to discover what our times are bringing forth.

Change can be creatively or gracefully cooperated with - or it can be like seismic shifts that undermine even our fundamental structural securities. Because of the debt funded spin bubble - we are still like the cartoon character who has run off the cliff - but has yet to look down.

I am optimistic because of the nature of the human spirit- not because I believe human selfishness has somehow disappeared. Fear is NOT the basis upon which to make decisions - especially concerning potentially fearful outcomes.

Am I pleased with the election result (UK)

I am encouraged and hopeful that such shared purpose undertaken with good will can bring diverse perspectives toward a simpler more practical and therefore more unified Britain.

The nature of truth demands the willingness to release personal gain in favour of a shared or common good. This must be demonstrated by the leaders to become credible and desirable to the nation at large. The sooner this shift becomes a social change the more clear will become the positive steps that will lead us from out of our own spin, and into a direct appreciation of the life we share in this country and the part we play in our world.

The personal characteristics that are called for in the leadership are more important than the historical policies that are associated with them. To be able to remain in communication amidst passionate differences is a truly creative endeavour - and the way in which the outcome is arrived at is as important as the outcome itself - for an honourable process of communication - listening and speaking for the sake of a greater good than one's own personal agenda - is absolutely the way to discover that rigid minds in dominance or subordination to each other are not really strong - but joined hearts in the best discernible next step - are.

The tribal identities represent the aspect of the ego sense that gets its sense of self from difference - and from exploiting difference to raise its own. This is not an enlightened or truth loving way of living - in fact it will - taken to its extreme - cost us the earth - as well as depriving us of what could be discovered instead.

The time of rational ideologies that attempt to define and impose various truths without regard for true workability is also an exhausted attempt to engineer society or indeed allow mere market force to engineer society. For both of these are of the intent to manipulate others - or indeed each other.

The real deficit that must be corrected is the deficit in trust. Growing, maintaining and extending trust is a fundamental key in the rewakening to a freely embraced responsibility and the keeping of the peace.

It is not surprising that dire circumstances set the stage for such changes - but the change itself remains in the realm of the courage and conviction of the heart. In this we all play our part.
The heart is not the superficial emotional manipulator or subverter of reason, but is the unified intelligence that discerns and guides amidst variables and apparent complexities that otherwise effectively keep us blinkered at best and blind at worst.

Good housekeeping is not rocket science and a good home is more than a house. Our belonging in life, in our country and in our locality is not merely a definable externality but a participation in real relationship.

The view of the problem - seen through the problem - is insurmountable and we tend to focus only on tiny parts at a time and either live small - or shift ceaselessly from crisis to crisis.

But the willingness to take a step in a truly shared trust will always a discover the next step - and in time, a clearer perspective of the true nature of that which remedies the true cause of diverse problems.

It is not clever politicians we need - but wise ones - and wisdom is a gift freely bestowed to any who are willing to be truly honest with themselves and each other.

There is nothing that manipulators will not twist to their own usage - but the spirit of true communication is anathema to lies for it is more than simply information or words - it is an active presence of true authority.

The media are also called to serve more than the self survival that seems to be derived from the fuelling or feeding off of conflict and drama for the attention grabbing attention and sales or ratings.

Do I expect this government to immediately get wise? No - but in their willingness to share a common purpose may well be the foundation of a resurgence of wisdom in workable governance amidst the perils of the macro-corporate economy’s unchecked dominance and the ignorance of the value of the micro economy as it has been progressively eroded and denied its natural opportunities of creative expression by a false promise of a techtopian consumerism.

Debt is a modern brand of slavery. Who or what are the Masters of the modern debt ridden world? What are the actual relationships beneath the apparently separate ‘bodies’ and institutions. What is the basis of our ignorance such that we are so easily kept ignorant? We need more than cuts and ongoing mitigation of pain for the unfortunate. We need to get real. We need to ditch the attempt to rule by deception. Not just this Government - but as a society. Why? - because reality has caught up with us - and given us a real opportunity. Is this not good news despite the pains of readjustment and rehabilitation?
