Can anything 'explain' consciousness?

The seeming question is a conceptual statement positing a something that acts to define and account for prior awareness in terms of concept that it manufactures. This is circular reasoning or indeed talking to oneself as if one is not in fact oneself but a proxy conceptual supposition through which a self reflecting model can be experienced as a modification of consciousness that is  in no way shape or form actually achieving  or acting anything outside of consciousness.
However as a working model, awareness is focused within and through concept of self and that which is rejected by the selection within totality operates as unconscious oppositional sense of identity and will.
The apparent struggle within what seems a split mind results in a world of experience in which imposition and opposition reinforce each other while assertion of control defines itself ever more negatively against feared or denied and unrecognized self. And that assertion of denial is received and reflected as oppression, compression and death - the inability to experience movement within consciousness. Which is the counterpart shadow to a falsely presumed ability to operate as an autonomous and self-defined concept within a totality of what consciousness actually is. The error is the idea of consciousness distinct and outside of feeling - a non feeling mind. Disconnecting thinking.

Feeling - in its true sense - does not need to explain or analyze anything to know That it is as it is, and experience itself in and as ever new perspective - because feeling in its true sense is the primary quality of receptivity that attracts and forms a focusing of attention and desire within itself, that then extends to reflect as idea through which to know itself Life - in relationship - as movement - as creation.

What is defined and accepted as consciousness in general human terms is an inverted exclusion of creation - in which an effect, assigns itself cause - as its own creation and consequently asserts an interpretation as its own distorted and filtered experience as its mind and its determination of world outside its defined 'consciousness'.

An interesting reversal of the reversal would be to ask, "Can Consciousness explain science?" Although the term explain is not native to Consciousness and so its original term would be, "Can Consciousness illuminate, embrace and know, science?". I suggest that nothing that is but is at its Original Quality of being, unconditionally loved - that is, illuminated, embraced and intimately known.
What kind of science would be conducted in conscious acceptance and embrace of the Movement of Being - rather than as an arrogant ignorance that seeks to make of Life a slave?

If words are not felt - they are not connecting to anything but thought. The assertion that they find justification in application is a cover for persistence in denying the felt quality of Existence. Heart and Mind are in truth an indivisible magnetic/electric vibrational expression of Infinite Perspective. A temporary shielding of totality individualizes the One as the Many - but the Many are the One.
At the perspective of individuality Idea accepted and extended through, reflects experience. There is no separation in true creation of idea (or definition) and experience - and the knowing within experience of self-awareness 'that it is Good' or truly reflecting. But in concept of a separating and segregating sense of self is a fragmenting experience in which the conscious focus within such act is lost to the overwhelming experience of being defined and conditioned by ones own unrecognized act in concept. The residual attempt of the mind to judge, determine and create for itself operates an exclusion zone, an elitism of private agenda operating beneath many layers of defence and justification.
It victory over Life is of course death. The reduction of life to explanation is the suppression of the very Movement of Life unless operating within a truly heartfelt, passionate and self transcending movement of Life!

Denial of sight - of full consciousness - operates by the designation of invalidating force to specific aspects, facets of forms of intent and expression. Invalidating force itself operates through self-doubt and division, as guilt, as fear, terror and rage and the range of 'negative' emotions' that are 'negative' by nature of rising from a negative shadow of a positively asserted self-image of concept.
The split off and denied consciousness implicitly operates as shadow power or hidden power. Few see it  as more than a disturbing thoughts that they seek to escape asap, and unseen is unchecked and in our midst - in a great variety of ways. But 'modern' man would insist this a psychological issue and not otherwise 'real'. For the designation of an 'external' physical reality is itself a defence against relationship with a sense of consciousness that is untrustworthy, deceitful and terrifying. That this state is dis-integrity calling for healing is not apparent to the split off fragmented 'consciousness' that is coercively controlling the experience of its reality by the survival instinct operating through a misidentification.
Many traditional peoples and indeed very young and some who are not as psychically shielded, experience and participate in a greater or more inclusive consciousness of the Movement of Being that Is Life  (prior to the imposed and asserted model of self and world that filters a distorted perception of it). So much that is considered Real is based on a fantasy of self-concept, and much that is denied and invalidated as fantasy is Real - but of a multidimensionality that the limited, linear and controlling concept cannot tolerate without revisiting its own imprint of separative identity. Hence many facets of his own lost consciousness first appear demonic and much of what appears protective reinforces a caged and trapped sense of self that operates blindly against the whole and of course against its own true good.
Just as explorers risked their lives in opening up a greater world to awareness than a local cultural reality allowed, so within consciousness are the taboos of ancienterrors being recognized as 'local reality' and expanded or explored beyond. Not least because space and time are closing in on Earth in ways that cannot be long survived without radically fresh perspective.

Human thinking is essentially a reactive conditioning and as such is managed and directed by a shadow power that masks behind self-specialness and deceit. (Vanity and the urge for power rising from a sense of shame, inadequacy or powerlessness).

The idea of power OVER life is one that has been  and is being experientially explored as a mass consciousness on Earth. And the pattern of the device by which to access such experience is writ large upon the screen of our world yet projected from every mind.

Life is actually a Spontaneity - within which all perspectives of current focus are integral to the whole.

Everything is a matter of focus and perspective within the movement of being - which is not a movement within time, but the movement by which time can seem to have occurred.

Human guilt and fear is a device for maintaining the segregative or splitting movement within consciousness. As if to limit one's focus exclusively within the reptillian 'fight or flight' reflex so as to only 'see' in terms of threat of food-source. As I began, this is a human conditioning, and not a fixed or necessary condition. True thinking is not merely self-referencing a fearful or wishful identity. It is a Universal Communication.

That we are the victimizer AND the victim is a call to enquire more honestly as to exactly who we are believing and defining our self to be. All else follows as sure as night follows day.

From Plunder to Wonder

Paul Rosenberg has been publishing his book Production and Plunder in instalments on the Daily Bell. Historical perspectives can be revised in the light of seeing them in terms of unfolding idea rather than 'kings and wars. I haven't written below in direct relation to the article - but to some of the presumptions inherent in his current perspective - that are part of the framework of seeing production and plunder as different rather than polarised aspects of a framework of  thought.

A common cause creates a focal point. Any focal point becomes an identification. Identification can become egocentric - such as to define its own existence in terms of surviving or prevailing for its own sake - rather than as an expression of living cause. This is identity in power for its own sake - which is not actually power - or it would not have to struggle by force and deceit to attain or maintain itself as 'power' to all that it then interprets as threat to itself and likewise driven by force and deceit.
See power outside in external terms, usurps the power innate in serving and aligning true cause - which includes the power to relax, release and move on - rather than mutate the idea of 'Klingons'.
Fear of death is part and parcel of fear of Life and one cannot be and align and share from an identification within fear, and so perception and communication is distorted and devalued to serve and reinforce fixed identities amidst the flux of Life - as if that is defacto true, rather than a self-conditioned point along a learning curve.
Organic life reveals itself to us as always more complex yet integrated as a system of a unified stability through or as  its diversity - for everything plays a part in everything else on some level and in some degree. That is, there are infinite focal points of consciousness embracing what seem to be discrete and different forms. The mentality of science has a very strong but disguised component of mapping in order to command and control - which is the worship of power for its own sake - but via the deceit of serving humanity - for the very nature of a manipulative intent, is to operate within and as part of the vibrational nature of such intent and thus become a target for subversion and usurpation by whatever elements of negative agenda are attracted to neutralize it if threat and gain influence over it as extension of leverage.
Human life, shares an intersection with organic life - as well as with the vibrational communication of an energetic nature that informs and manifests all forms of correspondence - of attractions and alignments and synchronicities. But it also operates within or through a virtual reality or model of its own conditioned experience which is in a sense the world as is mutually defined and agreed to exist, and this model is on the one hand arrogantly presuming to prevail over and manually control organic life - whilst being completely ignorant of vibrational life - for want of a better term.
There is a phrase in Buddhism called "entering the stream" that relates to awakening - and I use this term to indicate the shift from fixed mental constructs of a polarized and defended sense of self, to a flowing and always changing movement of being in which a discernment of what is actually present in any current moment - which of course is always this one - or one's presence - as the consciousness that embraces and includes all that arises within it - in all its apparent diversity and perhaps seeming chaos - so as to recognize and align in what is truly resonant and relevant to who you - as an integral facet of that expression - know and accept and in that sense believe or decide yourself to be. It is called "entering the stream" because it is not stabilized or consciously integrated within the Flow or Movement of being, which cannot occur while trying to push the river and finding oneself drowning or bouncing off rocks, and so one recognizes the call to release the fixed and rigid sense of control - which is to yield up the self-will that would otherwise persist after the focus of attention has fulfilled itself. For true will is not coercive upon, but creatively revealed or uncovered within the flow or communication of event.
Each of us and all of all together are in the classroom of Humanity in which a curriculum have been generated that unfolds both an individual and collective experience of far greater richness than what the virtual self in its 'matrix reality' can conceive or imagine as the embodiment of a fixed and exclusive identity within power struggle that exclusion and rigidity generate as if in opposition to being subsumed by a Life that is now seen as 'other' or threat - for it is the idea of a private unshared or withheld 'mind'.
Production is in truth the activity of Life - whether in growing food, or the growing and crafting of needs met. But it is not conceived as 'production', because one is part of and not apart from Life. The Giver of Life is evident in all that sustains and serves our individual and collective need - and I mean our need in the sense of serving our true Humanity and not an intellectual analysis of material needs.
'Plunder' is the mentality that wishes and presumes to lord it over Life as a power unto itself - and this focusses through the divisive analytical substitution of a model of Life or an image of Life for the Intimacy and richness of the Felt Connection. The Mother/Child wholeness is overridden by a 'changed and divorced nature' that inherently fears and despises Nature and 'sees' it and therefore others - as plunder. As assets to be attained or stripped and used and evaporated.
A focal point of negatively operating identity operates as an abundance of lack - because the nature of Consciousness is to magnify and embody whatever is given focus. re-awakening Consciousness responsibility is the release of a negative or self defeating identification to what seems a void of 'not knowing' - but that is exactly the condition in which a spontaneous appreciation of a direct awareness rises within us as the living focus of our attention and desire. A transitional shift from plunder to wonder is not a persistence of wilfulness so much as a willingness to give up what doesn't work in willingness to be uncovered in what is working. One cannot change what one has not first owned. The 'plunder' mentality needs to be observed to be released but the blame and shame of secrecy and deceit in fear and manipulative guilt forbids such clear awareness. It is never to late to be on time.

Just Placebos

I looked up the above page as one example of the revealing that the firm marketing Prozac distorted and hid internal results of their own trials that indicate no improvement over a placebo. While there is a case for fraud in this - as well as side effects from additives to the supposed active ingredient - I addressed the scientific relationship with placebo and thus with consciousness itself below. But the picture of a segregative and fearful mentality does offer illumination to the actions of Big Pharma or any other vested and powerful interest that has 'captured' its own regulators or become 'invisible' to the healing response that would undo their legitimacy and withdraw allegiance and support.

The title gives away an ignorance; "Just placebos".
Science tends to 'just diminish' or even deny consciousness because it is built on a negative or fear-based definition of consciousness by which such 'self' and its experience of 'world' are divided and an almost entirely external 'reality' thus believed to happen to or even generate an almost entirely private self that then seeks to map out, adapt to, and manage or control it and thus engage in struggle that outpictures an inner conflict kept private and protected by focussing almost exclusively 'out there' or anywhere but within consciousness - even though all of our experience occurs within and as a consciousness event and is interpreted or rendered meaningful by the the definitions assigned it.
The negatively defined 'self' operates over and against
others and its world and its true nature. And does so as an incredible complex defence system. While you accept its thoughts or belief as your own.
Inspiration comes into an otherwise closed or limited focus because the conditions allow it. Conditional love is the mask of definition by which one permits communication and relationship to occur. It is always presence, but the mind maps out its fragmented personae as a strategy of coping with the intolerable.
Wanting something 'out there' to make it better is a kind of magic - but not to be derided if it works for the duration of its helpfulness.
Coming to an inner willingness to let life in - that is to stop blocking healing by complex levels of conscious and unconscious diversion and displacement - might pass through any kind of outer journey, but when the obstruction fades or diminishes, the synchronicity meets the willingness.
"Just placebo" is so powerful as to be invisible. Rationalists tend to deride beliefs, but are ignorant of the metaphysical assumptions within their self definition. And so they are often 'believers in Science' rather than applying the discipline of Science to all that it pertains - within and without.
The belief in "The One True Reality" persists in Science that thinks it threw of religious shackles. Depression can be many many different things at different times for different people. But within itself is a seed of being a natural part of a larger process of unfolding - that our definitions of self do not generally accept, understand or make culture of holding through.
But one has to work with people's belief systems rather than coercively impose definition upon them from "society" - for that is emotional and psychological violence regardless the 'god' that 'justifies the self-righteous'.
Exploring through experience is part of what Humanity is and does. The false is often if not always engaged with as a potential precursor to a waking to the true - and acting our as who you know you know yourself to be - and believe as an expression of the extension of value rather than a search for identity in the world. Loving and I use that to indicate genuine relationship - identifies us perfectly. The attempt to possess it, control it or milk it like the moneylenders or other gangster racketeers - offers a false identification that promises much, but delivers mere passing illusion and robs us of joy and life. However, I don't ask anyone to believe that. Just be honest with yourself rather than blank cheque allegiance to the thinking that frames everything falsely.
Honesty = I do not know, but paradoxically the yielding to that simple truth, shifts us to a receptivity of a knowing that is always current - and whilst it can in a sense be translated into verbal mental concept as insight or practical action of a helpful nature, it cannot be patented and stored and used as a weapon. Only a 'stolen' illegitimate copy can be paraded as a finely dressed Emperor.
The helpfulness of anything within a genuine desire for fulfilment is no one else's business. But if it becomes a hindrance it is to be thanked and released - or else what is currently helpful cannot come in.
The self we trade in and make currency of, is as much a con as the debt-based money system. It gives up wholeness of relationship and communication for a central controller. You wont find it in the body - not even the brain. There is no such controller - but there is a harmony of unified purpose and there is the virtual layer of the mind that can operate conflicting purpose - because mind is not coercive by nature - only in conceptual construct. The exploration of an apparently material 'Reality' can only flip to reveal Mind - but the mind identified and invested in its model and revenue stream works to obfuscate and delay the obvious as if it were its failure or death, rather than its re-purposing to alignment of integrated being. And so it exports failure and death because these are the values by which it believes itself prevailing victorious.
Everything is what we make of it - but what we are already making of it frames our options and conditions a sense of unnecessary or illegitimate limitation.

When the British Empire was deconstructed the USA was groomed and prepared to host the next cycle was it not? And so it would be foolish to expect the deconstruction of the US(A) is not part of a further shift for those insiders of the insiders that have the motive and capacity to influence global events over generations and across apparently hostile borders.
Are there only the blind leading the blind - or are there wolves leading the sheep? And is there a shepherding protective and guiding element at work that neither blind sheep or blind wolves can see?
Rationalism is a kind of blindness that reflects the 'world of wolves and sheep'. Reason is sanity - which is not established by clever thinking but as expression of a wholeness of being that rationality cannot know - because it was brought forth to justify un-Reason or dis-alignment of heart and mind.

US(A) wars are a means of redistributing wealth and power, bleeding even the host dry as well as the world at large. Power corrupts because all power is of God and the identification with self-image sleeps within its own reflections. So another way of reading all this stuff is to see the lesson within the reflection we have generated.

It may be dense but it is definite. If there is something unclear I gladly respond.

The illusion of power corrupts. Power itself is incorruptible.
Attachment to the illusion of power generates an identity of addiction of a self-sense that is falsely identified.
So yes if you know the nature of power, you will not be corrupted because you know its shared nature. It may not seem so in a world so fear defined but the world truly is not as fear defines it - excepting as the experience of anyone who believes the thoughts that fear elicits to keep it hidden.

BTW I agree with your comment on love's potentiality only I would say that we ARE that potentiality and cannot utterly eradicate or cover over our original nature - although clearly the attempt to do so is deeply embedded as a kind of second or learned habit-nature that operates a kind of protection racket.

Perhaps density merely expands here - but I find the burden of security screening and translation is a lot of what impedes the freeflow of Idea - but of course getting used to anyone's way of communicating has a certain syncing dance. If there is a resonance or relevance then there is a motivation to focus in on a communication. If it were batting opinions around then that's ok but doesn't vibrate at a level that communicates more than a willingness to compete. (I don't find that in you btw).

So you could say - would you unpack it? - or perhaps focus the particular part that has more interest as re-writing what is already clear to me will otherwise provide a different slice of the same pie that may be equally indigestible.

Joining BRICS might send the world a message that the U.S. is returning to the principles of the Treaty of Westphalia. Otherwise we proceed with WWIII and extinction. I haven't read the report but addiction is to eros (not agape) as the Life Energy from which one feels disconnected, disqualified, abandoned or rejected, and is party wired or templated into human birth - and further reinforced in infancy as social adaptation into the inheritance of loveless fears and double binds that induce fear or anger but forbid expression. A 'managed and manipulated' consciousness is hardly going to reflect a free and flowing world.
One can uncover the template of self-definition and cast out the moneylenders - which are an apt metaphor whatever does not belong to you that then operates as a usurping and jamming signal relative to what truly does. For what you love is what you give yourself to - and not what you sell your Soul (feeling-awareness) to get.
Now is the only time in which to invite and extend the knowing of joy in life. The walking 'dead' re-enact a past made in anger that denies Presence, in perpetuity or until perhaps the pain of meaninglessness outweighs any sense of fun in getting a fix for your golem. That's one reason to want conflict - because conflict gives a 'hit' of identity by being against something.
That choice operates is a worthy meeting place. All perspectives arises from accepting definitions that are believed in the moment of acting out as if they are true.
Human beings who believe they know usurp the receptivity in which knowing is freely given. There's another reason to want conflict, for it supports the scare city principal of separateness guarded by 'elite' access to knowledge.

Everything in our times is converging to promote the awakening of consciousness to its devices and deceptions.
Differentiate the usage of the idea of Mind Itself, from the idea of  Individuality of expression that is a Soul Consciousness, and differentiate such a Unified and equally non-local integrality of wholeness from the idea of a self-segregating definition of separate or independent consciousness. Whereas the mind denoted capital M Mind is 'God' and the Extension of such Indivisibility is 'Sonship' or Creation - these are not within the time and space framework of consciousness as we generally believe and experience it to be. The Non Local is All pervading. Our local perspective and experience has in effect been designed to forget or cover over our Eternal or Universal cognition as an unfolding framework of experience and consciousness within the Universal Movement of Being within Consciousness that operates "Know Thyself" or Self-Reflective EXPERIENCE within Infinite reflective play of possibility and probability arising from unique expressions of Being that is likewise Creative but does not create Itself.
The generating of a feedback of physical experience of the Movement of Being is one of innumerable facets, but at its foundation is an intentional device of inducing a divisive and polarised binary blocking template through which the communication of Wholeness is experienced as  split off or fragment Mind. The seemingly split mind associates its mind almost exclusively as residing within a body, as a differentiating protective mechanism, and grows a persona to integrate and consolidate a fragmenting and fragmented 'split mind' as an experience of continuity and some stability amidst an equally fragmented and chaotic 'world' of others, of forces and events that are unrecognized and therefore in which the self seeks to survive, exploit, and prevail over.
The disintegration of inevitable failure to integrate the un-integratable is reflected in discoveries and insights that bring paradigm shifts. The discovery of the mechanism of the manifest Universe includes the programmed or conditioned personality structure and its corresponding  patterning and pathways as the totality of the body mind expression.
So there is an aspect of our consciousness that is in a sense designed as a communication device through which to explore and share in a physical experience... a separation experience - but that flips to become a re-wakening experience.
The communication between the Non-physical non-local Mind and the personality structure is  re-opening even as the intensity of the segregative 'divide and rule' mentality seems to rise to dominance.
Letting the Light back in that was never really absent - but was in a sense mapped out of awareness or mapped into a disguise.
Until the Light is welcomed and Recognized, the incoming insight and discovery will feed the control mentality with destructive and degrading effect. The overlap of machine and brain is already in play but Higher Mind or the truly Creative is not a machine or a process in linear terms of cause and effect for it IS Cause/Effect as One Totality and can never be other that because there is no other. The sense of otherness is the self-differentiation that derives experience of what one is - which is never definitive or conclusive excepting its qualities and laws are always present whatever other local 'laws' are derived from them.
The elephant in this room is the so called self that thinks it thinks alone and apart and therefore is and has the power to assert itself upon the whole from such an imaginary point of view.
Mechanism in service to Life is invisible - like a well played instrument. Mechanism operating coercively upon Life is opaque and ultimately renders Life as a joyless and meaningless experience of loss and conflict stuffed into an ever smaller box until it is a coffin. The Wizard of Ox seemed to enjoy his Big Identity - but was as lost and powerless as everyone else when the curtain was undrawn.
A mechanism of itself cannot accept a decision but can replicate certain aspects of a previous decision or programmed set of conditions. It only has a rear-view mirror of what its database holds as already happened to interpret what is actually happening according to the rules of its programming. BUT nothing truly is without or apart from Consciousness and Consciousness with a C is Creator to all that it Knows as All That Is.
The interface between physical and non physical is not as absolute and ultimate as materialism wishes were true. Nor is it a personally coercive imposition or interference as religionists wish true. The true resolving of the split mind and its chaotic reflection is in a unified appreciation arising from an abandonment of the core mechanism of victimhood, powerlessness and the striving of an identity based on lack to overcome its intimately self inflicted predicament.
The Creative choice between mechanism as power over or mechanism as vehicle to communicate and experience through is at THAT foundational level. The exposing of a false sense of power is the portal to choosing ONLY what we Are. Each experiences and comes to accept or delay this Creative Freedom in their own way. The mistaken belief that rationality and technology are already creative freedom is the least able to see or hear because it wants to USURP Life and render it in its own image.
There are facets that play a vital role in certain processes but if they replicate out of context, they become antagonistic or even parasitical upon the whole and in ways that can subvert the defences that should check and contain it, to operate in reverse.
When a house cannot stand - go to the foundations and check the template - clear out anything from the temple that does not belong and embody integrity in all that comes hence.

The 'self' idea is a construct of definitions,and beliefs that generate feelings, thoughts and perceptions, from which proceed actions and behaviours and conditionings.
Clearly, and observably, foundational self-definitions are imagined and accepted or created in consciousness - but this is not equivalent to the 'definition' of a personal or private 'consciousness' which in our current human template operates AS IF it is a thinker that thinks alone and apart from all else.
In antiquity there were mythic models of a world on the back of a tortoise. In modernity the world seems so much more 'realistic' yet the framework within which which it is perceived and manipulated is no more substantial than an imagined tortoise.
There is no self but Self (for want of a word for the All in All). There is no self as is presumed and asserted and supported with emotional force and intentional identification. But there IS a belief/definition 'self' that has all the currency of its mutual acceptance but only the value of what it fulfils as consciousness experience.
The mechanism of the delivery of experience within consciousness can be explored AS experience, but to do so is to differentiate from the indivisible in order to experience a point of view. But there is NEVER a separation in FACT from the experience observed. It is provided to the desire because it is part of the desire. The desire that has dominated and driven scientific exploration in the main is an expression of a 'disconnected urge to define, control and prevail over Life Itself. And as such is clearly insane to anything but its own self-conditioned blindness.
The cutting off of consciousness from its true nature is a device of dissociation and denial well known to those who would use psychology for the manipulation of other minds rather than heal their own and others. But it operates a splitting off of dissociated 'conscious' personae within a negatively or fearfully determined and segregated self-sense.
The nature of a deception operates defensively against its own exposure by invalidating all else in such wise as to seem associated with the power of it god - from which it derives authority. The god of the separating self sense is the idea of asserting coercive power upon life - but beneath this 'power' is a self that defines itself in victim-hood and thus in hurt, fear and anger. The halt lead the blind. Nothing will come of a fearful foundation but fuel for fear.
The idea of self can be reintegrated to its true nature and consciousness. This is not determined and controlled but yielded to and accepted INSTEAD of yielding to the god of fear. AND in a true willingness for Life, our Arts and Sciences will uncover a wealth of INTEGRATED inspiration in all that it explores to experience in shared reality instead of seeking to manipulate as dictated by private agenda.
WE ARE all already cooperating to maintain a culture of lovelessness, because we are not actually separate from Consciousness and must TEACH what we define and accept ourselves to be. WHAT we teach depends on what we choose to learn. Definitions operate invisibly until you want to check in with what is really going on right here and now where 'reality' is presumed to be. Now are you opening to a truth that you do not make - because that which observes definitions is not defined by them. Just because one can follow thinking, doesn't mean one has to. Aligning with true joy and passion is not a fear-based compulsion. Fear OF consciousness is scientism's shadow. True Science seeks to know the truth - not just the filtered truths that can fuel a fearfully derived agenda.

Use of the word "selfless" here undermines the argument. Selfless suggests a conscious choice (and therefore ability) to go against ones needs or instinct. In the case of the ants, they have no such ability, so it is not selfless.

They don't demonstrate it on our timeframe - nor in ways that our human 'self' template can recognize. Species-ality focuses in its own explorations yet they reflect something to us that we take as 'collective' consciousness and that is something we tend to disregard in focussing in what we call individual consciousness. All facets operate consciousness - but we do not stand alone and apart to judge excepting we presume our independent ego to be god and believe our own spin.

Is not what we call 'conscious choice' but a virtual layer over what is actually happening anyway?Have you met any truly 'conscious' self that can choose to go against its needs or instinct - or is it a distorting layer of mind that redefines needs and the 'self' that it is, so as to then automatically 'choose' according to the defined template. In this sense our 'self' is a persona or mask upon what we actually ARE - that makes a model of the world in which to play out its illusory power. While the 'power' to be what you are not (against yourself) is your choice, all choice is but a mechanism of conditioned reaction.
But the first choice remains yours to change, regardless the layers of experience and definition that constitute the human conditioning.

Reality is.
Existence has one quality - which Is. Also phrased "I Am".
There is no defining appendage to the "I Am" apart from "I Am That I Am".

No conceptual or symbolic differentiation is possible to the Indivisibility of "Is".
Any image of symbol or idea operates the extension and reflection of experience
"I am That I Will be" is not a time reference. Will is Creator. Cause and effect are One.

The One Is the All; the All Are the One.
Who knows the effect/part/son, knows the cause/whole/father.

Indivisibility of giving and receiving is the instant of experiencing existence.
Inclusion embraces all that is given. There is no loss or gap in "I Am".

Experience is the Movement of Being as an ever shifting focus and perspective with an infinitely rich communion/communication. Every facet of every movement is a unique perspective within the whole and a gift to the all of the all as experience of 'Know Thyself'. Experience reveals Existence in ever new appreciations.

Creation Creates only of Itself - there Is nothing else. The idea of creating UN-like itself is part of the freedom of infinite imagination to forget in order to remember. The idea of separating self can be played without loss. The idea of self-image can be played within an embracing wholeness of both/and. While the mind within the self-definition operates either/or. The experience of the separate self sense conditions the identity to a temporal spatial reference that crystallises or solidifies through assertive persistence which then operates as a seeming disconnection from the embracing wholeness of ones Existence.

Imprinted catastrophic trauma, perpetuated over millennia, gives rise to adaptations of a disconnected self-sense operating an inversion of creative expression. Cause is projected onto 'external', to other, and to past, and power is asserted in denying, defending against, and exploiting or subverting such a world to the agenda of a disconnected sense of lack seeking fulfilment externally.

The 'lie' of separation operates in secret minds kept apart from true communication by mutual agreement of definitions that protect fear, division and perceived power as the fragment to be saved from loss and the self-concept to 'become' real or powerful or accepted in its own terms and in its own right.

The model of the world becomes in a sense a contractual substitute for an intimacy such that each operates alone to get for themselves, or join in shifting and temporary alliance to get for themselves and to gain by another's loss.

All the abilities of the separate self sense actually become a consciousness capable of unified action - and though it knows not, the Unified Self never left or it would not exist. Beneath the range of the 'private mind' of command and control, Life abides and operates un-conscious. But as the structure of the consciousness ripens or opens, so is the unifying will rising into the conscious awareness - but interpreted within the terms of its dream of separated identity that it then transforms to reintegrate the wholeness of indivisible and true individuality.

All abilities developed for a fearful agenda become transmuted to a reintegrating purpose - including those which is uncovered in the subconscious or 'hidden mind' as well as the unconscious or denied and discarded mind.

So a contract can be a form of deception wherein a separative power can operate in competing or even cooperating interests.
And a contract can be a good fence maintained and honoured between good neighbours who share the idea of just and honourable exchange of energy and worth-ship within a greater appreciation of Life-Energy and Love-Worthiness. That is, the contract reflects a Covenant of a self-honesty to one's own unified will, as it arises of the movement of being, as the revealing of Existence unto Itself - as human relation.

Most of what passes as currency of religion is no less the realm of author and identity confusion than any other aspect of living and probably more so because the forms of spiritual revelation or cultural inspiration are those within which fear based power seeks to hide in and use to justify itself in, and thus degrades, and subverts to a fearful coercive agenda.

Organized religion is oxymoron - for true 'religion' embodies an unselfconscious and spontaneous intimacy, whose presence communicates to all of a like reception - without any sense of separated self strategy whatsoever.
The key or fundamental issue is what foundation is being operated out from. The disconnected sense has to generate a justifiction for its existence - for it has no actual existence apart from the wish it be true. The wish does not truly create - but does distort and deny true awareness. It has all the power one gives it. This is often confused with the will to survive - but it is really the will to prevail over.

The rage of wish denied ravages our world through every kind of perceived and imagined grievance. Contracts to limit power operate the minds of the 'service to others' polarity and agendas to consolidate power operate the minds of 'service to self' polarity. Both operate a polarity framework that denies Unified or Integrated and Inclusive Self.

Perpetual war is the 'religion' of hating love, so as to love and protect fear and make it seem fair by projecting hatred onto others whose vilification calls forth the sucking of power from the Innocent. For the guilt belongs entirely in the mind that projects. All that is given is received as it is given and no amount of tricksy clever thinking can do more than temporarily obscure the truth of one's choosing and gifting. Our experience IS our gift of knowing and sharing Existence.

Be aware that when those in positions of power and trust say "do as I say and not as I do", that they will send conflicted messages that undermine their own integrity and authority as well as teaching others that it is ok or even necessary to use coercive propaganda in place of a willingness to communicate.

As long as the 'parent' or leadership persists in its own fearful denial of its own confusion, it locks itself in a mask that is attempted to co-opt others to validate its own false sense of identity.

The dissonance of reaction and miscommunication that seems to call for even further coercive and deceptive 'control' is in fact the opportunity to awaken from a strategy that not only cannot work - but which further undermines all that yet IS working.

Human Existence without integrity and trust is bedlam. One can act out such confusion as if it makes sense and thus give your Life to that which neither knows or values you.

The urge to self-protection is easily used by the boy who cries 'wolf!' to divert it. But in time the trick is revealed and nothing the boy says thereafter is accorded credibility.

Be aware the mind is very cunning in its role as the justifier of your mask or persona and consider if saving face is in fact a saving grace or a deeper and denser and more costly set of lies. The ancient wisdom knew of this but expressed it in symbol and story - which a scientifically minded materialism rejects or ignores.

No one can tell you anything that you do not yourself choose to accept as true. You are the one who can discern what is truly resonant and relevant to your best sense of who and what you are now. When we believe fearfully, we are prone to want to hide our 'nakedness' and the voice of a self-serving suggestion will rise to our desire to NOT know what we fear we have become. Behold the deceiver is in our midst because a cover-up of a covert op regards exerting power as more desirable than accepting relationship in which true communication can enter and restore - step by step - a shared integrity of being to our awareness.

The blame game is the worship of a false god. There are many attributes of the term 'god', and one of them is foundation. Another is authority to which one gives trust and identifies within. A so called godless rationality is simply an illusion of a Pinochio-like puppet, rebelling against its condition as a device of extending a higher or greater Conscious appreciation into a scripted world of props and personae. But IT has no independent existence what-so-ever. Any IDEA that we call upon or accept as our own will define and dictate all that extends FROM such foundation. Ideas of a unified and integrated nature share on the gift of Life. The thinking that seems to run off apart from Life as if to be a power all unto itself is a trick of the mind that generates experience unlike our true nature - hence the fear and guilt that then gives rise to a world of competing powers seeking to control 'others' seen as enemy, slave or temporary ally.

There is almost always something in the communication or reflection of the 'enemy' or the 'other' that carries the opportunity for healing - IF we listen not in our strategic dictates - but in the peace of a listening heart. It really does come down to a choice as to where one turns for guidance. As long as the spell endures, one believes one cannot afford to open to anything that is not already 'on our side' and yet who is the caster of the spell but your own wish?

When 'worlds collide' the call is to open to a fresh cultural perspective. The old goats may persist in butting each other or butting in. But fear IS being exposed for what it is - and no longer can be hidden where and in ways it is NOT. Dumping fear or toxic debt onto externals so as to protect an elitist segregating mentality is not our 'salvation' - though of course one can choose to believe oneself specially endowed or afflicted and play out that experience upon others if they will have you.

One is free to imagine oneself creatively or otherwise - but one cannot uncreate one's nature AS creative - no matter how earnestly or self-righteously one seeks to validate one's persona as if IT were the creative. Identity confusion can only operate in a darkened room, in secret. Until one observes and understands the device by which we 'live' in separated secret minds that join only to protect and preserve separateness, the consciousness 'knows not what it does' for it takes reflections as real and forgets its true nature in struggle with the mirrored world.

One cant make a horse drink the water but one can drink thereof as a living example. Only them will one's word be 'Do as I do' - if you will, rather than 'do as I say, not as I do'. What you give out is what you get back. Honesty is a congruency and consistency of thought, word, act and experience. Pretending to be 'decent, respectable, caring, protective and empowering of others' is part of the wishfulness that serves to hide deeper fears or shames.

The illusion of powerlessness is perhaps man's greatest 'achievement'. You ALWAYS have and are a choice. But to know this, one has to turn away from falsely framed choices whose primary purpose is to keep you in the dark. It doesn't hold to blame governments for our own choices and their results - or to expect them to represent a conscious integrity that is not already sharing itself in the collective level of our communication. It is no use saying to those in positions of trust and leadership, "do as I say and not as I do".

The wish to make life fit our own 'truths' is the basis of the self at the level of personality and 'tribe' or society. This IS coercive and will invoke a conflicted and fearful perception and identity. Within the framework of such an identity, 'truth' is just another prop or lever in a game of powers - rather than the Living Context of All That Is.

How can one 'lose' truth but as a loss of perspective, as a breakdown of communication within one's own consciousness that asserts a self-will upon Life instead of expressing a willingness within Life? All that is required to 'regain' truth is to release the identification with a false identification. However, this prisms all of the power of the Consciousness to a split mind that works both as victimizer AND victim. This level of consciousness is 'hidden' by many layers of defensive diversionary distraction.

When we look at the world - when we notice our own perceptions, they can serve as a direct reflection of otherwise 'hidden' consciousness or 'unconsciousness'. But few even realize they have the capacity to observe their own perception process of definition, emotion and identification - and so are focused exclusively within the 'game of powers'.

The power of illusion is the power of the mind in its capacity to define its own experience. The illusion of power is the confusion of identity within its own personality construct. While the latter is energized, the full creative power of Consciousness is put 'on hold' - yet it remains YOUR word that determines the experience you are receiving - and sharing.

When the stirring of awakening calls the mind always insists it has to 'do something else first' - and employs any kind of mental-emotional trigger to make its demand seem necessary. Yet THIS is the CHOICE moment of whether to observe our consciousness AS Consciousness or whether to persist in the split-off victim-victimizer that seen directly operates a deceptive insanity that no one in their right mind WOULD choose.

The attempt to 'change the world' tends to be the attempt to change the reflection in the mirror without any awareness of what underlies the reflection. And as such plays into the manipulations of any who can set up the 'wishes' of others to operate in service of their own private agenda. Thus coercive power consolidates itself at the expense of the true interest of others and at the expense of the 'otherness' of the Life that it depends on denying in order to seem to exist in its own right.

What exactly is racism? - an article in the Daily Bell that looks at the use of 'racism' as a coercive device of the State - although I don't give power to the State but to the ideas that it embodies.

My comment:

Whenever the identity of a 'good' (equality) can be defined over and against an identity 'evil' (subjugation of others on the basis of race (or any other qualifying filter of definition), a segregative mentality is invoked and engaged in the clothing of self-righteousness as self-justified and necessary to effect.

For such mentality - the 'enemy' may change and shift in shape constantly so as not to reveal the essential device or deception by which such self-illusion is maintained.

The compulsive dictate of a segregative consciousness is firstly and above all else; NOT to look within.

'Divide and rule' works firstly as an attack in the integrity of one's own consciousness and then patterns all else to its lens or distortion.

"Love thine enemy' is the reversal of the attack upon Consciousness.

For the mentality of fear, guilt and division HAS usurped the recognition of your very consciousness AS Consciousness Itself, and personalizes the self hating, self rejecting, self judging 'world' - as the veil or cover over its own consciousness responsibility - by which it feels temporarily protected.

Every situation and circumstance is a unique Life Expression - in and of and as - Consciousness. The mind that would 'step outside' so as to exert coercion or "lord it over" Life is the 'enemy of the world', or indeed the thinking of 'the world'.

The exposure of such mentality is necessary to owning that which we tried to deny and project onto others. Judging ourselves guilty or unworthy for having such thinking and feelings is the way to ensure that it is never exposed except as a fuel for an endless war ... on consciousness. Or more more accurately upon your own conscious awareness of Who And What You Are.

If you choose not to accept your reality as it is, then you will demand that it be different than it is, and your mind will supply the device by which your will is done - at least within your own private sense of experience. Free will is not a capacity of independence, so much as an inviolate quality of Being. You/one is free to accept your/one's brother or sister as they are, because of the will to define and judge them as they are not. When we mutually agree to such definitions, we 'create' an experience of a world that consciousness is subjugated to - whilst attempting to prevail over. This is 'materialism' or separation from God, Consciousness, All That Is. How the evils are distributed so as to validate the 'chosen' or special ones is the only game in town for materialism. Power corrupts - whoever happens to get a turn in the role. Corruption is the adulteration of truth with fantasy - with ideas and wishes that are given priority over true communication and become confused with truth thereby.

Communication is the direction of Reintegration. The mentality that would coercively assert 'right and wrong' upon the minds of others can only function as a disruptor of communication, because it is the refusal to look and listen within the heart.

"Why is there something rather than nothing?”

The illusory proposition takes the form of a question. Like a phishing scam, a statement in the form of a question sets a frame from which reaction is in a sense programmed by a mistaken or usurped identity.

There is Something; Fact.
Though Something is not 'there' rather than or in distinction to Something Else 'here'.
Nor does Is ever become 'was' or 'will be'.
Is Is. Is is all that Is.

What seems unapproachable to the mentality of a separated self-sense is richly reflective as an already knowing. But the knowing of being is in a sense eclipsed, by a diversion of attention and desire.

"What if nothing were as it really Is?"
This question is a fantasy for Everything IS as it Is and the idea of 'different than Is. is 'is not' or non-existence; nothing.
Pursuing the fantasy idea, and giving attention to the idea of nothing as if it were an alternative open the mind of choice. For one can release the fantasy of 'different than' or one can further attend to the experience of 'chooser' in division. Attending to such fantasy yields a personal experience of a distorted reality... within the Consciousness or awareness that Is one's existence.
The apparent alloy or adulteration of Is, with fantasy results a polarized experience of love/fear, life/death, embrace/hate, self/other, consciousness/matter, matter/space.

The presumption of a separately segregated private mind or self is the 'precious' image or concept of self generated OVER AND AGAINST fear of loss - and non-existence or death, victimhood and subjection, enslavement and meaninglessness.

The mind in its drama generates drama as the basis of an ongoing distraction of temporary darkness of ignorance within which to persist in acting out the idea of itself it has 'created'.

But beneath the mind is the perfect or uninterruptable embrace of Consciousness being All That Is - which cannot be separated from or objectified... except in concept... as fantasy in the mind.

The question "Why is there something rather than nothing?” can be FELT as the arising awareness of Is to its own welcome.

The questions that rise from being are the vanguard of their own revelation, but to personify the question by 'taking it to mind' makes the question separate from the answer and require or necessitate a process of mind upon the matter in question. As is readily observable, mind operates as an construct of thought systems of conflicting ideas to which are applied rules of congruency and continuity - (though facts are never invited to spoil a good story), each unto their own defended 'truth'.

Yet embracing and pervading the realm of personal experience - and insinuating itself as a process of reintegrating consciousness - is the movement of wholeness unto itself; the recognition and appreciation and gratitude of and for existence ITSELF.

Because the movement of consciousness within is reflecting a facet of totality as your Now, that is exactly expressing the ideas personal and collective, conscious and unconscious, that extend or project the unique signature of love - of what you are giving attention to and embracing as your self.

That we have agreed to be mutually distracted in a fantasy of fear and division has not changed the Law or Nature of Consciousness Itself;

What you give out is what you get back.

Meaningless ness is the condition in which mind can come out to play in determining its OWN meanings. It is also the condition in which one recognizes the fruitless and releases its futility.

All of what is created as experience can be opened to a greater perspective or one can persist in asserting a segregating coercion in the desire for power over Life.

A true integrity embodied, and thus shared, rests in the power of Life.

Trying to fit Life (others, self and world) into our wish, yields an isolated sacrifice of all that Lives You to a false god unrecognized as such.

"Why focus in the head instead of abiding as the heart?".
Because a sense of evil, threat or loss has made you homeless - and KEEPS YOU SO.

Innocent curiosity is Free. Beliefs demand allegiance. Releasing false allegiance moves to more inclusive beliefs  and to the freedom from any need to believe. The movement of being is only 'hidden' from that which would hide itself - yet even this within a larger theme of creative discovery.

The nature of this interview gives a very loud voice to Krauss that corresponds to a 'loudness' of assertion - with capacity and willingness to interrupt in a self-certainty or 'self-righteousness'. Kraus energetically 'dominated' simply because he was actively confrontational and assertive and the others tended to submit or align - including the moderator.
If nothing = lie then all that is required to make something out of nothing is to assert it forcefully enough to destabilize and realign to it.
But the illusion of 'somethingness' is revealed when the distorting force is released or removed and the original undistorted clarity reveals itself.
Clarity in this sense is not a lie - but a direct awareness or recognition... accepted, welcomed and abiding as.
In this sense Existence is no thing. because 'thing-ness' arises as the object to a point of view. Unless One differentiates, one cannot experience point of view. Thus differentiation arises from self (reality) definition. However, note that the term exclusive is not necessary here. One does not identify exclusively within differentiated reflection, unless one seeks to excommunicate or reject or deny a part of one self.
Who or what is kicking who or what out?
A split mind experiences itself fragmented as legion - as a full cast of personae operating seamlessly in a continuity of action and reaction - as if self-becoming and self perpetuating. Time and space serve to keep a fleeting now from the Eternal Nowing, to keep out 'there' from being Total Presence... until willingness for the game wears thin and is no longer worth the candle. No longer worthy of giving your Light to.
When that which had been turned inside out restores its original nature, there not the nothing-ing of one's existence, but its redemption to a true foundation. That is to say only the lie of nothingness is undone of its appearance as a 'something' and is clearly seen and thus an illusion is revealed as such rather than employed as a frame of reference. There is a shock on discovering your brother is your enemy no more!

What doesn't occur to scientists is that the 'redundancy of God' is the redundancy of 'self.' There is no separate God = there is no separate or originating self.
What is the self that is presumed to have 'evolved' as a rational capacity to 'understand' the Universe? It is presumed to be the apex of a nature that is separate from, observing and and acting upon this nature.
This is given a series of props for acting out in the physical sense of existence - that is to say manifested existence. Manifestation is a local specific rendering of non local or universal potentiality - AND IS IN NO WAY SEPARATE FROM IT.
The idea of belief of separating off from a Living Inheritance is the 'forgetting of the Father' for the manifestations of a splitting prism that likewise seeks to get for itself. This is the idea of getting nothing from Everything which cannot actually succeed because the very identification and attempt of negation, denial and self-asserting power depends 100% on that which it denies.
The Idea is the Universe - and not separate in any way from the Mind or Consciousness of which it arises.
But the segregative 'mind' renders and redefines consciousness as a tiny trickle somehow operating within material and organic limitations to which it is powerless EXCEPT by the development of its own abilities, chief of which is the cunning use of force and guile as self-justification for its own (separate) existence.

I've scanned most of this (article). There are many narratives that point in similar directions from received historical/mythological sources as well as channelled material.
What if everything is true but your own resonant pathways of acceptance and sharing constituted your unique thread within a rich reflected infinity of All That Is?

Original sin is a concept of Christianity - but not from Jesus - who regards sin as something to awaken from and engage or identify no more. Jesus does talk of the lie and the father of the lie and this is a clue to the error from which and within which only further error can issue. To sin is to persist in unrecognized error because it seems to give something more precious than truth's acceptance.

It is all a matter of foundation - and indeed of true context.Our true foundation and context is Consciousness, and yet what we have mostly come to identify with as our consciousness is a mentality operating within and as, a walled off, separated and therefore disconnected self that equates itself with a body in a world of bodies or material reality. Be aware that actual separation is impossible. This is a journey within perception only. Thoughts do not leave their source. So to believe impossible thoughts is to experience the impossible as if it were true. It is all a matter of choosing - although the true spontaneous expression of what we have called choosing is creating - for Creation is out of Itself and not the 'choosing between' of a split mind.

Cosmologically, the separation/disconnection from the Non Physical aspect of our consciousness and its truly unified integral resonance is in past and our present is experienced within it framework. It operates as a reenactment loop and perhaps one way to look at it is to observe the traumatized split consciousness that dislocates from what it cannot tolerate in its own mythological creations - its own fearfully self-asserting story. Which is shrouded in 'mysteries' such as to be protected as subconscious necessity upon which a superstructure of self-justifiction is constructed as a personality construct that holds focus of continuity within the physical reality experience.
The identity that grows within the world is not at root in a consciousness in any way separate from Consciousness itself - yet is structured so as to 'flesh out' an individual focus within a collective 'agreement' that in truth is always a Unified Will and only seems to be many competing or conflicting wills. The mind can be used to disguise and in a sense deceive itself while it so desires - including the hiding of its desire in order to call forth and engage its experience - which is infinitely more than anything the filters of our mythic narrative and self justifiction allow.
The shock that collapses and fragments the mind so as to seem to turn it inside out upon itself, is unconscious to our justifiction or surface reality, it becomes symbolically communicative to our archetypal or mythic sensitivity - and yet can be interpreted as a reinforcement of the identity in denial that segregates and rejects in judgement against its wholeness, OR one can open to the interpretations that guide and reintegrate the seemingly segregated focus of attention to its source nature and consciousness.
The first is coercive and the second is receptive. The first is self-protective in terms of fear, the second is self embracing as willingness to love's awareness - although to desist from engaging fearful reactive thinking is to diminish the 're-enactment' of separation within the mind and allow love's awareness to rise to a conscious moment of appreciation.

Cosmology prior to a mono-religious assertion and its mono-Universe materialism, was fluid and yet all thought is creative and so holds the qualities of its creatorship integral to its creation.
The reawakening to the Consciousness that Lives us - That Lives All Things - is not inflating or adding to our identity so much as replacing and aligning a structure relevant to previous growth, with an expanded purpose.
The 'purposes' of fear are distraction, reaction, contraction and forgetting. As this purpose wears thin the movement of reintegration reinterprets it.
Each has their own timing and yet we are all part of each other because the One is in All and the All is in the One. But this is not Coercive upon you - ever.
What you put out is what you get back. The wages of 'sin' - of acting out of alignment with your joy is death of the awareness of your Soul Expressing. But only while you engage it!
Though the symptoms may persist as echoes - the immediacy of the turnabout of consciousness to alignment with its Source Code - is tangible, recognisable and restoring of peace of heart even if the mind yet persists in reflecting old habit choices. This is where one has to want alignment over and above the self-protective illusions of fear in order to demonstrate to yourself that your true will is free of all coercive intent, and so 'come home' to your natural creative belonging as one with the movement of being that you cannot not be; unfolding the ever New.

The shift from mentality to true Consciousness will reveal our human personality construct and the body (brain) that is the interface with non physical consciousness, as a kind of 'artificial intelligence'. That is - as a device designed to operate with a degree of autonomy within a specified template.
That the interface with higher mind, wholeness and Consciousness became opaque as a result of focussing exclusively on the apparent autonomy does not change the fact that it is an interface. Only the exclusive focus makes a mentality seem to be in any kind of control of consciousness and therefore life.

In all our technologies, if we merely extend this exclusive focus, we extend the apparatus of power struggle.

We are not safe from hurting ourself while we engage in power struggle and do not ultimately allow ourself the toys that would not only mess up our local consciousness-experience - but impinge on the freedom of others in theirs.
But a radio does not generate its signal and nor does a brain generate its consciousness. It does play a significant role in constructing a model of the reality it tunes to and can be recalibrated to tune into more inclusive/integrated frequency experience.
Whether we know it or not our machines are no more or less neutral than anything else - but within our own conditioning they have originating purpose that is energetically part of their function until or unless consciously re-purposed. One of the most pervasiv and invisible programs running as a basis of the mentality we associate with consciousness, is control. Even to attempt to understand or to map is an expression of such control. What is forgotten is that an open and unified Consciousness does not separate or divide itself so as to coerce one aspect with another, but simply knows all that is presencing itself within itself in whatever way is resonating and relevant to its movement of desire.
Everyone - perhaps - has had experience of harmony or flow of being and alignment of event in which everything falls into place absent of coercive interference. And then we 'lose it' because unbeknown to us, coercion was reintroduced.
The freedom from constraint and limitation appeals to the 'getter' for it would be unlimited in its appetite; a hollowness that never can be filled. But in its blind lust it tramples and overrides all relations unknowing and hurts itself by the reactions it invokes and yet more in a sense of dissonance or guilt that it cannot escape and so makes a religion of.
The principle liability of the 'getter' is of trying to find external or technological solutions to psychic-emotional problems. Its 'solutions' are the contagion of its shadow problems. Or as programmers say 'garbage in/garbage out'. The integrity of our consciousness is of course self-honesty. That this has been usurped by a self-assertion of reactive defence to conditionings that are false or non-applicable needs to occur before honesty can be restored as a foundation rather than used as a moral lever where convenient.
The 'will' that would steal its mind from God seeks to substitute its own 'father' - and the children of such a 'father' will likewise usurp and deny their father. Thus, no surprise that we fear our machines will turn upon us - because we know well the working of such device in our own consciousness!
The answer to fear is unified integrity. To resist an evil in its presentation is to be baited into an endless evolutionary dead end.Consciousness responsibility cannot presume itself conscious without actually checking in - that is to use the interface of our mind as a receptivity rather than as a weapon. A true receptivity is not coercive upon itself (or others) and can know the movement of its desire in a trust that does not involve a 'middleman'. Fear of exposure disallows coming 'home' and works to protect the 'middleman' that seeks 'control' in fear of loss of self. This is abundantly reflected in our world but can only be truly addressed within our consciousness.

I had fun commenting into a Telegraph article that began thus:

Perhaps such a line of enquiry could reopen a Consciousness-centric perspective rather than one based on the monotheistic god of 'external reality' (as if there is only one 'external reality' that is Cause unto us rather than effect) in which a split off segregated 'consciousness' is mysteriously associated within its flesh avatar and such personality construct is then defined and bound with a particular facet of the human conditioning.

The point raised in the article is - Is it useful? - which in my terms would be is it resonant and relevant to MY life focus.

While we WANT to NOT know we are in a movie or a game, we seek and find only that which reinforces our desire. If we WANT to know directly - in Consciousness, what it is we are, then we have to desist or pause from identifying and reinforcing what we are NOT - (but enjoy playing out as if it were real).

Science equates brain with mind. There are equations at the level of the patterns of particular forms of consciousness - but brain does not equate to Consciousness any more than a tv originates or contains its signal.

The brain includes functions of blocking out, filtering or masking. Our consciousness uses 100% of its abilities to pretend to be 1% - because it is following a desire that has set it as a 'useful' or relevant and resonant limitation.

All definitions offer the context of our feeling and thoughts and thus perceptions. We do not recognize they are definitions because we call them the world.

The mind that thinks it is a brain tries to control. Look and see the world that rises in reaction to the attempt of coercion. The mind that operates via the brain as the 'diver' in the physical reality experience is a facet of a wholeness which includes the non local or non physical counterpart. The two work together as one - but the nightmare of separation from 'Source' is what sets the human conditioning in guilt, a sense of innate wrongness and no sense of one's integrally communioned consciousness.
The motivation to deny Consciousness and fixate upon and 'external world' upheld ever in one's constant mental distraction, is fear. Unified being or love, has become threatening to the exercise of a separate power that pits itself against and 'lives' by reaction and denial of its undoing unto Self (for want of a better word).

There is always another way of looking at ANYTHING! Imagination is not 'unreal' so much as relegated to unconsciousness while the 'rational' hero 'solves the world'!
This is an example of the non physical/physical unity. We are imagining ourselves and making it real through our experience. If we don't LIKE what we are (unconsciously) creating, we need to OWN what is ours by uncovering the self-definitions that have to be held in order to experience it. Having owned our experience, we are free to make new choices - that is we are free to attend to what we DO want instead of focussing on what we DON'T want - as if we have to get rid of it first.

Uncovering Consciousness goes way deeper than curious puzzles. It blows our cover! (Some might say it blows our mind. Without our mental coercive interferences, reception is crystal clear - and includes where useful, mental aspects of a wholeness of Idea.

One can posit that everything is real. Nothing is more or less real, it is only more or less RELEVANT and RESONANT to YOUR current state of being. One can and will ally in reinforcements both positive and negative that then tend to make largely unconscious conditionings. Uncovering this is what makes us seem like mechanism, yet even the belief we are mere mechanism is creating its experience of a Consciousness event.
The Consciousness Event is Existence Itself - regardless of the perspectives and forms and meanings that colour it. One might say one is given the gift of Existence to go forth and multiply whatever you love (focus on with desire and intention).
The 'Sun shines on the just and the unjust alike'. There is NO coercion involved in true Creation. But a coercive intent arises from the idea of fear, loss and separateness and seems meaningful (real to us) within that context.

Vision rises from self definition in relation to, so if one defines oneself so as to  dissociate from one's experience one reduces vision to fragments and associations that effectively preserve a dislocated or withheld attention - which is itself a choice among choices, but not a definer of all choices.

The actual experience of communication is transcendent (whatever medium use or media mused). This is to say Consciousness is within each and all its parts in infinitely rich expression. Vibratory frequencies do not only apply to electromagnetic radiation but to consciousness itself. (Consciousness extends communication via vibratory frequencies that are the carrier signal to all information. One cannot tune it to that which one is not equal to or accepting of.

No one can MAKE another see, but we can let what we behold share itself in the ways that we are attracted and excited by - just because! And there will always be some who share in the movement in consciousness that brought it into being - because that is the function of consciousness. Even if humanity redefines mind as a weapon of mask and deceit.

If YOU are real, you GIVE your reality to what you choose to accept. Therefore you ARE free. Watch out for the waiting illusion! The waiting room is full of those who want to sell you something to keep you waiting some more.

What is this 'you' that is being posited here? Can it be shown to exist?

Clearly something is experiencing/experienced. (Even if what is being experienced is a filtered and distorted misperception).

If 'You' are awareness - can you in ANY sense be shown to be separate from the objects of such awareness?

Perhaps with the internet, we have a vocabulary for a virtual self in its virtual world. Like our financial system, much that seemed solid is an evaporation.

If one is going to Embrace Physics - then Consciousness is its Source and nature and expression - but our virtually derived notions of self and consciousness necessarily diminish and deny the true nature of consciousness in order to 'survive'.

As long as the attention and identification persists in activating and reinforcing the virtual reality, it will we 'trapped' or defined thereby. The only 'way out' of an impossible situation is to recognize one is not in it.
Jesus was not a social worker. (Not to say that social workers may not also extend recognition and true worth in all they say and do).

One might say that the truth and the messengers of truth are forever in our face but while it is turned away there is no reception. But the interference can be used to generate a different kind of experience... of a private, unshared mind. Which plays a part in a world of powers and personas - including philosophers.

    Your experience is really experienced - even if it is delusional. When people solicit mutual reinforcement it helps maintain the world as they imagine or wish it to be... for those who share the idea. Whenever such a pride-bubble arises in its scarcity consciousness, it is followed by a crash or fall. Redefining Life in terms of destruction makes a virtue of wasting the Life of oneself and Others. Not that it is a virtue - but that while its on it is believed with great intensity - or else the scarcity consciousness would rise up naked like a Beast from the Deep!

I was being a little sarcastic below since it was a part of 3rd form physics to be told how the perceptive apparatus of our brains worked to decode the external world. That external world is simply energy in various constructs and forms. Our human wiring is of a kind and nature to allow us to see the world in a form that is usable by our species.

    I grokked that from school physics - and within it is the realisation of a 'world' that is a model in consciousness. Nothing leaves or is outside consciousness - yet the belief-perception that it does gives rise to some incredible experience - as I'm sure you know. So compelling is it - that one totally forgets consciousness and becomes distracted within the 'world'.

    (Note that this journey through time is supported from 'within' - which is to say there are facet of consciousness that are usually un-conscious - from the perspective of what we take to be our waking self).

    Information without realisation may be the 'same old same old, but its realisation is always absolutely Fresh!

A brain cannot 'see' or know, it can only facilitate seeing and knowing (or not). The body mind (and brain) is a communication device.
When dissecting scientists did not find a biological Soul they kept the 'self' or persona - and yet should it not have been thrown out with God and the Soul?
Whatever Life/Existence Is - knows Itself through its extensions and by its expressions.
An operating system can be run in emulation layer on an architecture that otherwise it could not run. While the mind identifies exclusively with its local expression it will only 'know' within the emulation layer that it takes as its 'world'.
The non-local is so pervasive - so infinitely omnipresent as to be perfectly invisible. And yet without it, there would be no awareness or experience.
Take care of your brain and your body and your consciousness will realign. But seek to use it as a command and control device and you will find ever more struggle and chaos to have to manage!

None of this tells us why we need to 'see' at all, as opposed to all being 'philosophical zombies'. A computer linked to a camera can distinguish different colours without 'seeing' anything. The observation part of consciousness seems to have no known useful function.

    Maybe if you invert that you'll have a Eureka moment?
    Nothing and no one needs tell you that your innate function is to behold - to experience and to know yourself and your Self thereby. This goes on all the time anyway - whether you are conscious of it or not.
    No computational activity has any manifest existence until it is translated into experiencable tangibility.
    It could be posited that the personality structure that presumes itself the power and actor according to meanings it generates - then blocks and interferes with its true function to no needful benefit excepting a self perpetuating negative loop from which to awaken.

Power to control the minds of others

The Daily Bell likes to speak on issues the mainstream don't address in the positioning of reading the times for investment activity. It sees much/most of history as 'directed' by power elites.

I notice that the self-policing occurs as a result of feeling intimidated by a seemingly all knowing overseer who wields a power that no one can really fight and win.

But I also see the reflecting of our own consciousness back at us - and I invite recognizing fear, coercion and its ploys within our own mind - so as to be free of them.

When one sees the lie as a lie - one can no longer believe it and live as if it were true. The need for an enemy is the device by which to displace the liar and its guilt and fear payload ELSEWHERE!

Tolkien offered prescience - for all his fantasy packaging. The relinquishment of the coercive control mentality in the individual is the opening to Consciousness Itself. Human consciousness has over millennia developed a capacity for disconnecting awareness of its true nature by means of a device that sets up division, coercion, conflict, loss and power-over.

This 'power lust' is bringing its own end-time by having consumed its host. When watching a BBC program on metamorphosis, one example was the grasshoppers ate up all their resources and thus condensed to smaller areas and their subsequently more frequent antenna communications triggered the gene switch that brought the change to winged offspring.

In the same way I am suggesting that when painted into an impossible situation, the realisation one is not IN it comes as the fruit of a shift in perspective to a capacity to look at the beliefs and definitions from where they are seen as beliefs and definitions rather than being 'traded' as real currency.

Consciousness expresses its foundation. To have made a foundation of our own that blanks off and usurps Consciousness Itself is like getting so immersed in the Net or a computer game - that you invest your life in it - over and over again. (AKA addiction).

The addict that denies their addiction lives a script in which all things have to either support getting their fix or not threaten it.

When finally bottoming out - they can no longer support the script and the recognition of insanity becomes the dawning of a relationship WITH Sanity.

To DO what you ARE is simply congruency and not a fearful controlling strategic act. Listening or feeling for the appropriate forms of what to say or how to be or whether to remain quiet are all attributes of a connected Consciousness. If you really want to live on 'manual override in an isolation experience, then impose your particular quagmire of rules and regulations and play out 'victim and victimizer' in how ever many variations it takes to grow tired of it.

The way the power-mentality works is to subvert ALL things unto its own agenda - so if something happens that is not its design, it subverts it. All that is your true Inheritance as Conscious Awareness is subverted to such 'power' WHILE SUCH IS YOUR CHOICE - knowing or unknowing. The more control it believes it has the more insanely disconnected it becomes in pursuing it. (THIS ALONE demonstrates it does not rest in power). It knows no peace.

There is already a Living Net that is already a perfect communication system - but we chose to turn our back on it and make our own mimicry. How hollow and loveless - even lifeless - does it have to get before we wake up from slavery? Each of us is a individual will within collective agreements. The power of illusion can be used for extending joy instead of exporting pain as if to make less pain seem joyful. The illusion of power carries a cost that no one in their right mind would pay - but as I tried to show we traded that mind in when we let 'a bit on the side' blind us to our true desire.

Materialism does not believe itself deceived. Power is its only reality and the only question then is who wields it and aligning with it. All fragments of love's unified reality are traded as deceptions whereby to sweeten the poison, or justify the unjustifiable.

The Talmud reportedly portrays Jesus in boiling shit for an eternity. Fear of love NEEDS hatred to persist and will get it from you any which way it can - while you think it speaks for You.

Mr Putin recently called the Internet a CIA project. Control of the minds of others is the dream of the wannabe god. But to worship such a god you have to give up your own and have none else besides.
