HuffPo has an article on addiction - and I felt to add my perspective to the underlying psychology of addiction.

The Likely Cause of Addiction Has Been Discovered, and It Is Not What You Think

Disconnection - FELT- disconnection from Life - from love, from wholeness - MUST seek itself everywhere at all times.

The core identity issue is that when our own mind is believed to be the cause of disconnected or loveless experience, then the pattern the results is a conflicted or split minded fear and guilt that then seeks protection FROM itself by looking ANYWHERE BUT where the pain and fear of invalidating hate and anger is, and thus displace itself in looking OUT and seeking answer OUTSIDE - away from where the problem is.

So a misaligned or untrue sense of self cuts off awareness of true, believes it is victim to events it cannot tolerate or control, and attempts to tolerate and control them as a split off mind by projecting them onto the Life of the world and onto others.
Substitutes for love that cost true connection, a personal sense of power that seeks its own while blind to the true relationship of Life-connection.
Addiction first begins with the compulsion to THINK as a persona-mask or shield of limitation and protection FROM a sense of vulnerability in fear of exposure as an unworthiness of living love. Of being seen or known truly or of extending true presence.

This view of addiction is revealing the device or template for the particular version of segregative and separated consciousness that seeks control over life individually and collectively and has culminated in the world that in a sense we have made that REFLECTS the addictive disconnect from Life - as a self-destructive blindness.

But the birthing into the physical experience does not HAVE to be templated as the disconnect of a fearfully or unworthily defined self. It is not hard-wired to our consciousness though it has been conditioned over millennia.
The addict in denial has generated its own version or definitions of everything in what to that perspective seem self-protective. These are what we call our psychological defences. But they are protecting the FEAR and the BELIEF in GUILT as if these were the FOUNDATION without which all would be a negative intolerable chaos.
BUT to actually LOOK upon this seeming foundation in clear awareness is to SEE that it s not YOU.
Opening a conscious communication in ones awareness of a true FOUNDATION in Life rather than ones own THINKING, initiates and supports and guides a life of reintegration that shifts to align and act out from a true foundation - a truly FELT foundation.
The re-integrative sense of self is one of an unfolding and shared existence whose meaning is in felt existence itself as the movement of sharing, of desire, of embrace or passion, in true desire.
For to truly live is to be truly you, right here, as this now. The now of the addict is sacrificed t GET away from what is defined as disconnect and invalid and thus disregarded except as a means to get somewhere else. There is no appreciation of the harmonies and qualities of all things as the richness of living excepting in conditions that are defined love - conditions in which one allows or permits relaxation into feeling connected. But even this is pervaded with attendant fears of change, of loss, of running out, of separation-fears. And often the association of being 'hurt by love' will prevent any real relaxation but restrict experience to the superficial and shifting, as if to be safe from feeling connected because it EXPECTS and associates that with PAIN.

The 'world' that results from persisting in an untrue and split off sense of self is insane, self destructive and tragic in its denials and deceits. But it is not HAPPENNING to you, it is a subscription service. One doesn't change an insane world by seeking to solve it OUT THERE, one pauses from insane entanglement to notice and OWN that insanity is operating as an out of true or fearfully defined sense of self. NOT using it to FIX yourself opens the perspective UPON it in which YOU can recognize inherited or conditioned CHOICES that operate against your true desire and so your DO NOT WANT THEM and allow your free imaginative natural being to uncover and move with a better choice.
This is not a blame or shame or negatively charged denial of the previous choice.
The attempt to control and coerce upon one's Life is the thinking that sets up the disconnect from the light of relational awareness - the Field Awareness - in which one feels and navigates within and as an integral aspect of a wholeness.
True thinking is in the Heart. Not emotionally masked agenda, but the communication that resonates and is relevant to what you know and feel to be true of you to the best of your ability in any given moment. The machine mind does NOT know or love you who are Life, but runs as a misplaced protection that CANNOT protect you and which overburdens itself in the attempt to manage what it is neither designed or capable of achieving. In releasing usurped functions to a felt connected Life, true function is restored. Healing is what happens naturally when true relation, communication and recognition are accepted. Love's response is to love's extension. Coercion is not the way. Willingness and self-honesty to joy are the way.

Having a sibling spiral out of control on drugs when he was a teenager and then dying from the same at 49 years old, I saw and knew to early in my life how drugs/alcohol ravage human beings. We tried everything to help him, loving him unconditionally, tough love, therapists, baker act, but mostly never, ever turning our backs on him and always telling him how much we loved him, but nothing ever worked, he used and drank himself to death, I do not feel their is one reason, genetically, physically, emotionally why users use... to me it is a human mystery that will remain unsolved for as long as life exists on this planet.

No matter what anyone does, the power to choose is inviolate. In any situation one chooses the best or least worst option as one defines oneself in that situation or relationship.

The key word is defines. How does one define anything but as a sense of giving and receiving meaning. But we do not recognize this power is operating, but take for granted, and live out within, mutually agreed definitions, that are not necessarily true of us or agreed with by others.

The 'mystery' of free will is that it does not make sense to the need to make sense of everything in our own terms. But what cannot BE understood, then holds our mind open OR is used to lock them shut. I lost a daughter to suicide - or I have had the blessing of a beloved daughter who suddenly and inexplicably left. The mind can spin on everywhich way it can but it only goes round in circles.

My second daughter is 'special needs' and without guile of mental complexity and spoke sanity into our family when she said "we did not want Ellie to die, but she did".

We each have a deep sense of what we deeply WANT that may be deeply buried and treasured,  but we know when we feel deprived of it. Living a life in which one feels denied of core sense of unmet need may be unbearable. But amidst the unbearable is the opportunity to become aware of self-definitions that form our personality structure - or who we believe - and in that sense love - ourselves to be. There are so many ways in which I deny myself happiness by insisting it must come a certain way. Is it true to say we are all addicted to our 'self' until we wake from a perspective beyond it?

When the British Empire was deconstructed the USA was groomed and prepared to host the next cycle was it not? And so it would be foolish to expect the deconstruction of the US(A) is not part of a further shift for those insiders of the insiders that have the motive and capacity to influence global events over generations and across apparently hostile borders.
Are there only the blind leading the blind - or are there wolves leading the sheep? And is there a shepherding protective and guiding element at work that neither blind sheep or blind wolves can see?
Rationalism is a kind of blindness that reflects the 'world of wolves and sheep'. Reason is sanity - which is not established by clever thinking but as expression of a wholeness of being that rationality cannot know - because it was brought forth to justify un-Reason or dis-alignment of heart and mind.

US(A) wars are a means of redistributing wealth and power, bleeding even the host dry as well as the world at large. Power corrupts because all power is of God and the identification with self-image sleeps within its own reflections. So another way of reading all this stuff is to see the lesson within the reflection we have generated.

It may be dense but it is definite. If there is something unclear I gladly respond.

The illusion of power corrupts. Power itself is incorruptible.
Attachment to the illusion of power generates an identity of addiction of a self-sense that is falsely identified.
So yes if you know the nature of power, you will not be corrupted because you know its shared nature. It may not seem so in a world so fear defined but the world truly is not as fear defines it - excepting as the experience of anyone who believes the thoughts that fear elicits to keep it hidden.

BTW I agree with your comment on love's potentiality only I would say that we ARE that potentiality and cannot utterly eradicate or cover over our original nature - although clearly the attempt to do so is deeply embedded as a kind of second or learned habit-nature that operates a kind of protection racket.

Perhaps density merely expands here - but I find the burden of security screening and translation is a lot of what impedes the freeflow of Idea - but of course getting used to anyone's way of communicating has a certain syncing dance. If there is a resonance or relevance then there is a motivation to focus in on a communication. If it were batting opinions around then that's ok but doesn't vibrate at a level that communicates more than a willingness to compete. (I don't find that in you btw).

So you could say - would you unpack it? - or perhaps focus the particular part that has more interest as re-writing what is already clear to me will otherwise provide a different slice of the same pie that may be equally indigestible.

I haven't read the report but addiction is to eros (not agape) as the Life Energy from which one feels disconnected, disqualified, abandoned or rejected, and is party wired or templated into human birth - and further reinforced in infancy as social adaptation into the inheritance of loveless fears and double binds that induce fear or anger but forbid expression. A 'managed and manipulated' consciousness is hardly going to reflect a free and flowing world.
One can uncover the template of self-definition and cast out the moneylenders - which are an apt metaphor whatever does not belong to you that then operates as a usurping and jamming signal relative to what truly does. For what you love is what you give yourself to - and not what you sell your Soul (feeling-awareness) to get.
Now is the only time in which to invite and extend the knowing of joy in life. The walking 'dead' re-enact a past made in anger that denies Presence, in perpetuity or until perhaps the pain of meaninglessness outweighs any sense of fun in getting a fix for your golem. That's one reason to want conflict - because conflict gives a 'hit' of identity by being against something.
That choice operates is a worthy meeting place. All perspectives arises from accepting definitions that are believed in the moment of acting out as if they are true.
Human beings who believe they know usurp the receptivity in which knowing is freely given. There's another reason to want conflict, for it supports the scare city principal of separateness guarded by 'elite' access to knowledge.

(This comment is addressed to the compulsive alt-news junkie amidst a world in which governments and media and purveyed and presumed realities are increasing disintegrating from any semblance of integrity).

Seeking answers 'in the world' seeks where fear persists in protecting itself from exposure, where confusion persists in propagating endless 'new' problems from the 'world's answers'.

Disarming propaganda is not using one's insight as a weapon. The weaponisation of communication is a false mask pretending to communicate. One cannot have a relationship or communication with the persona of a merely coercive intent, and to attempt to do so not only casts your treasure before that which cannot and will not receive, listen or honour it - or you, it degrades, adulterates and corrupts your own knowing of yourself with the baitings and snares of confusion by which you are tempted to abandon discernment for the lure of judgement.

When evil steps out to be undone, do not call on it, employ it, use it or trade in it.
When Jesus said 'resist ye not evil' he meant give your whole attention and desire to that which truly moves you as one with all that lives. This is not passivism, but discernment and active choice COMMUNICATED.

One may use the confusions of evil deceptions to more directly identify what you are NOT - and thus release, repent of, turn from and put behind you.
Only thus will what you ARE replace the mind of judgement and division - and its play of power in the 'world', with a Unified and Unifying Movement of Being.

Look within while apparently looking out and acting in the world and grow the willingness of self-honesty. Guilt and fear and their progeny are in our mind and active in hidden ways until we cease to feed and employ them. Looking directly on what is in our minds NEVER condemns us, but actually frees us to choose instead of being coerced.
The 'world' is many things to many people, but when our own minds are healed of their own mis-beliefs and misperceptions, it can reflect back to you - to us - the glory of the innocence of beholding. Where you choose to look to find yourself (your joy) is up to you. If you entangle yourself in a confusion, rest the mind and do not act out from it until it is reintegrated by Life you do not coerce, manufacture or control. It only takes a moment now - but resistence may manifest any and every kind of distraction so as to prolong a sense of independent power - that you think you need whilst identifying in a disconnected isolated and manually overriding sense of existence.

Power to control the minds of others

The Daily Bell likes to speak on issues the mainstream don't address in the positioning of reading the times for investment activity. It sees much/most of history as 'directed' by power elites.

I notice that the self-policing occurs as a result of feeling intimidated by a seemingly all knowing overseer who wields a power that no one can really fight and win.

But I also see the reflecting of our own consciousness back at us - and I invite recognizing fear, coercion and its ploys within our own mind - so as to be free of them.

When one sees the lie as a lie - one can no longer believe it and live as if it were true. The need for an enemy is the device by which to displace the liar and its guilt and fear payload ELSEWHERE!

Tolkien offered prescience - for all his fantasy packaging. The relinquishment of the coercive control mentality in the individual is the opening to Consciousness Itself. Human consciousness has over millennia developed a capacity for disconnecting awareness of its true nature by means of a device that sets up division, coercion, conflict, loss and power-over.

This 'power lust' is bringing its own end-time by having consumed its host. When watching a BBC program on metamorphosis, one example was the grasshoppers ate up all their resources and thus condensed to smaller areas and their subsequently more frequent antenna communications triggered the gene switch that brought the change to winged offspring.

In the same way I am suggesting that when painted into an impossible situation, the realisation one is not IN it comes as the fruit of a shift in perspective to a capacity to look at the beliefs and definitions from where they are seen as beliefs and definitions rather than being 'traded' as real currency.

Consciousness expresses its foundation. To have made a foundation of our own that blanks off and usurps Consciousness Itself is like getting so immersed in the Net or a computer game - that you invest your life in it - over and over again. (AKA addiction).

The addict that denies their addiction lives a script in which all things have to either support getting their fix or not threaten it.

When finally bottoming out - they can no longer support the script and the recognition of insanity becomes the dawning of a relationship WITH Sanity.

To DO what you ARE is simply congruency and not a fearful controlling strategic act. Listening or feeling for the appropriate forms of what to say or how to be or whether to remain quiet are all attributes of a connected Consciousness. If you really want to live on 'manual override in an isolation experience, then impose your particular quagmire of rules and regulations and play out 'victim and victimizer' in how ever many variations it takes to grow tired of it.

The way the power-mentality works is to subvert ALL things unto its own agenda - so if something happens that is not its design, it subverts it. All that is your true Inheritance as Conscious Awareness is subverted to such 'power' WHILE SUCH IS YOUR CHOICE - knowing or unknowing. The more control it believes it has the more insanely disconnected it becomes in pursuing it. (THIS ALONE demonstrates it does not rest in power). It knows no peace.

There is already a Living Net that is already a perfect communication system - but we chose to turn our back on it and make our own mimicry. How hollow and loveless - even lifeless - does it have to get before we wake up from slavery? Each of us is a individual will within collective agreements. The power of illusion can be used for extending joy instead of exporting pain as if to make less pain seem joyful. The illusion of power carries a cost that no one in their right mind would pay - but as I tried to show we traded that mind in when we let 'a bit on the side' blind us to our true desire.

Materialism does not believe itself deceived. Power is its only reality and the only question then is who wields it and aligning with it. All fragments of love's unified reality are traded as deceptions whereby to sweeten the poison, or justify the unjustifiable.

The Talmud reportedly portrays Jesus in boiling shit for an eternity. Fear of love NEEDS hatred to persist and will get it from you any which way it can - while you think it speaks for You.

Mr Putin recently called the Internet a CIA project. Control of the minds of others is the dream of the wannabe god. But to worship such a god you have to give up your own and have none else besides.

Perhaps... an awakening to the kind of consciousness that perverts all things to its own manipulative agendas, is at hand?

That which has a vested interest in your destabilised, fearful and divided dependence on what it then provides. (Bad cop/good cop).

The term 'myth' is devalued by being used as a substitute for lie, falsehood or error.

But the understanding of the power of myth and symbol in our consciousness is highly developed in those who seek to manipulate perceptions, identities and achieve undue influence thereby. Propaganda is war and PR is it's peacetime epithet. A state of war has been waged within consciousness by the subverting of scientific discoveries to the financial and corporate power structures of our day. But unlike the religious manipulations of the past who coerced populations that they would be free IF they obeyed - in some future state of being, the modern sophistication delivers the belief you are free while choosing to conform to a state of serfdom or slavery. Mindcontrol is the result of understandings of the way human consciousness works, in the hands and intent of the few.

But to be fair I also note that the 'consumer' (so defined and so acting out), DEMANDS unconsciousness, by neglecting and giving away power, to those agencies or corporations that it elects (by its actions) to manage and supply it so as to leave it free to explore and express its 'identity' within the safety net of a reality in which its own consciousness is NOT implicated and therefore all the evils and threats to wellbeing can be painted OUT THERE. Yet this is only a smokescreen for what is feared to be true and which advertising and media examples reinforce relentlessly to those who suck it in.

Unless we get our house in order, it is open to thieves in the night and guests who outstay their welcome and who have no kind intent beneath a veil of 'helping'.

The botnet in digital terms, reflects the infiltration and control of remote servers and computers. The same applies in terms of society. It has been going on as long as manipulators could find the technology to effect it - but technology has advanced way faster than any honest openly shared conscious accounting for its use.

When a scam is uncovered - damage limitation works asap to obfuscate and redirect attention. The true scale of the scam against populations is fearfully mind-buckling and THAT is why there is such a deep urge to UNCONSCIOUSNESS! But that only plays into fear and doesn't allow a shift in perspective in which clear steps of practical self-value make a significant difference.
Without a true and clear self valuing - nothing meaningful can be achieved. But the defensive and segregating attempt to manipulate ones own consciousness is not and cannot be a true foundation - and so it must disintegrate when one no longer has the capacity to prop it up.
But that is Good News - even if not recognized yet.

An advertorial on porn in the Telegraph - and its varied comments - invited another opportunity to reflect on some of what is within the idea of porn, association-addiction and manipulations of experience.


One can discern the quality of any civilisation, society or person by the regard in which they hold the feminine. If the power of the receptive is denied, subjugated and overridden by a disconnected assertiveness of 'power' over - then slaves to fear seek to make a slave of Life and believe they are free thereby.

They already have their comeuppance. There is no punishment but what we make-believe ourself and together. But that said, if our make-believe is believed to hurt and hate and kill the truth of our love - then that belief will dissociate us from ourself. This is part of the human conditioning. The split mind does not know its source and is fed and feeds on adapting and exploiting life rather than being and sharing it.

The nature of addiction is similar to that of manipulation - indeed the manipulation of one's experience (one's relations and one's world) for a private experience in place of a truly shared one, is the way one cuts off or 'protects' from an intimacy of being, for the sake of a PRIVATE possession or satisfaction. Mutual private satisfactions pass for relationships in a masquerade.

Such then is defined (by its act) as 'joy' - or indeed protection from pain of boredom, doubt or discomfort. A 'joy 'that is not integrated or unified, but is conflicted, dis-integrating to a segregated sense of a temporary 'hit' of an energetically felt connection that is immediately gone and thus calls for repeating or indeed expanding so as to prolong its dedication and association. The pattern of desire, stress and release becomes a ritual compulsion when choosing to persist in a mechanically joyless act whilst at the same time insisting one is a victim.

Wherever there is a giving away of power, there is no shortage of other 'hungrys' willing to 'take you over' - whether imaginary or corporate, for what you give out sets the value by which you get back.

The world offers many examples of being taken over by ideas, beliefs and definitions of self that are negative or disintegrating. But to affect you, you have to subscribe to them. Joy and truth are in bed together and there is nothing secret or shameful in yielding into a wholly embracing love.

Porn, society, censorship and Angels

The once private aspects of our mind - of our collective mind - is becoming public.
Some of this are desires that are socially unacceptable or surrounded by taboo, inhibition and dare I say it - a relational consensual willingness.
Some are simply a wandering fascination in what is still 'taboo', out of bounds, hidden from sight, as if one were private in the act of looking.

The mind conditions itself by what you use it for. If you cultivate an appetite for fantasy 'satisfactions' in porn or shopping or any other realm of activity, then you cultivate a mode of private personal control that you get a 'hit' from and then a miss - or a trough in which to look again for the 'hit'. Not everyone has an obsessive addictive approach. Some can spread their addiction across many private satisfactions, like a gourmet, and keep also there actual relational life in some degree of balance. This is like having a compartment or many compartments for different aspects of your personality - but not losing cohesion among them so as to become dissociated in the sense of clinically insane.

What fantasy does by definition, is substitute for actuality. Escape into fantasy is an expression of a lack of joy in the currently framed moment of existence. The uncovering of a pattern of virtual self in its own made up story is a breadcrumb trail of reintegration - if reintegration, peace and joy is actually the accepted desire.
In ultimate sense true being is not damaged by anything because all the ideas by which such experience was had are ideas that are chosen and experienced. But the mind can seem to become victim to its own ideas and suffer as if compelled and victim to forces beyond its control. At this level, trust is the uncovering of an integrity of being that is both ground and guide. What you give out is what you get back - always, without exception. This is a current reality - of what you are currently putting out being the nature of what is reflected as experience. but the surface mentality that identifies a sense of personal control as survival and sanity is by default in denial of its so called 'unconsciousness'. So we are as ones "who know not what they do".
Beneath the surface, beneath the fear and guilt which taboos against looking within, is the be ing of love- apparently suffering the fantasy of our collective 'reality'. But within the loving nature of what we have mostly forgot, is the Angelic realm. One simply stops energizing the jamming chatter, to let a natural whole Communion/communication resume in an awareness that was momentarily distracted by grasping at some image or object or experience as if it could or need be possessed.

Advertising, propaganda and addictive consumption

What has advertising become? What does it give and what does it cost?

Is it not a propaganda war of coercive corporate intent in fighting for 'mindshare', and branding  and yet united in broadcasting a culture of consumption to a population that is incessantly implanted with false associations, in order to condition and trigger reactions deemed favourable to private interests?

This tool for Corporate intent upon a passive population is yet a kind of protection racket upon smaller independent business, who must pay dearly for minimal visibility. It also corrupts our media such that it becomes an extension of such intent rather than a true service of information.

'The century of the self' by Adam Curtis (freely available on youtube)  gives an overview of the growth of an insidious intent in our cultural development.

The nature and role of advertising, like so much else that undermines a the true wealth and health must be seen for what it is - and in the context of what life truly is and how it works.

The mindset of prevailing upon each other, in identification with an exploitive GETTING mode - no matter how 'balanced' the 'free market' is supposed to be, (look at the balance of competing interests!!!), can never serve anything but to hollow us out and strip our assets for a short term cash that evaporates.

There is a lawful mode of communication that honours the worth of the other and thereby keeps it for oneself and shares value. As long as we consent and subscribe to be treated as targets for a blatant manipulative disregard - so will such behaviour - and the mindset beneath it, violate and undermine the peace. For it does.

A true balance of interest is of a shared purpose in common. Divide and rule has ever been the mindset of deception, using false promise and instilling or promoting fear as a means to gain entry and become your 'guide and protector'.

Those who effectively own the financial system are advertising their guidance and protection to governments and nations, leading them into slavery and impotence of debt and ever deeper entanglement in a web that cannot be escaped while deception passes as true.

The call is for the honesty of heart that first acknowledges the disease of addiction and seeks above all else to uncover the discernment of true relation.This is not the result of ingenious thinking or problem solving, but of insight, wisdom and true dedication and commitment to a greater purpose than private self interest. As long as we look to others for this - we are deceived.
We must look to others as an opportunity for extending worth, growing trust and in a shared appreciation.

No juggling or conjuring of billions or trillions of money can buy a true foundation, but only serves to delay acknowledging the false.
The voice for fear is very loud now - but only proportionate to the desire and attention with which we feed it.

As I haven't hyped anything up, or joined in the hype, I haven't got the corresponding 'void' that inevitably replaces an artificial high.
When I have great pleasure or joy in anything, I abide in the gratitude and the blessing, rather than cultivate a compulsive-addictive sense of self.

Life is at essence Gloriously beautiful already, but we forget how to allow this into our hearts and minds - and even push it away with attempts to hype or manipulate life to fit our own, largely unconscious, ideas.

Abide through the temptations of withdrawal and listen in trust for the prompts and opportunities of life as they naturally call you in your day - and cultivate a conscious relationship with your life - that wakes and walks out from the prison of the thoughts of limitation - or of its overcoming. You may find this has you running for joy and one day breaking time records - but all as a result of something awakening within you, rather than any kind of 'should' or 'ought to'.
When anyone or anything suggests there is a lack or wrongness in you that you need or have to do something about - make sure to get calm and honest with yourself - so as not to let your own thinking or anyone else's thinking, deprive you of the wisdom of your own heart's knowing.

Drama, is the stuff of a surface life. If you like the rollercoaster then that's for you, but it is always restless and only momentarily content. Peace is a dynamic inclusive capacity to bring wholeness into focus where the heart directs.

As I said to someone recently, "the Olympics aren't my thing - I'm already Gold", and I see that despite my outer quirks, I'm just like everyone else.

Children grow up addicted to online porn sites

There are degrees of porn - but the net is rampant with hard porn. It has gross aspects - and also absurd meaningless aspects. An emptying ritual. Somewhere in consciousness is an echo of paradise in sexual delight - and yet a sense of paradise lost or denied can lead to addictive attempts to cover over pain of lovelessness, of loneliness.

There is a curiosity in things that are taboo, but this can lead to look again, and again - if you have nothing better to do.

Use of bodies and images of bodies to enact private fantasies is not thought to be hazardous and saturates society on many levels, and is encouraged and even considered healthy in some contexts.

But those who discern its hazard are those who are in a truly loving relationship, because love overlooks form, and yet shares paradise.

The mind that disallows or denies love from its own awareness is sick, but does not know it is sick. It tends to protect its sickness. Yet we do know - but our mind binds and blinds us.

Fear, scarcity, hysteria and the breakdown of communication

From public reaction and from these comments it would appear to be a very inflammable subject.
BLAME - of any kind - is antithetical to true vision and hence truly helpful outcomes - because blame is presumed already currency to be GOT RID OF onto others or your humiliation invalidates you.

We are collectively ADDICTED to external 'powers' and the illusion of authority they confer in a Faustian pact that hollows out our life to live out a lie that will OUT as sure as eggs is eggs.

The 'outing of the lie' is not the blame game - but the result of a true humility - that is - from a true accounting of our thoughts and values - and the world and culture that they create.

The natural reserves of this planet have been Prodigally wasted, because we forget the WHY and the WHAT FOR of our very lives - of our Conscious Being. It appears we DON'T WANT to be in touch with our Being - but would prefer the sport of a seemingly rebellious independence of mind that USES everything for its own ends.

Tweedledee and 'Dum AGREE to have a battle - for that is how fear distracts and blinds us from seeing more intimately, that which we are afraid to see.

It is never too late for Truth!

Scarcity is caused by fear's distortion and resulting imbalance. WHENCE COMES the deeper TRUST by which fear is dissolved? From a greater HONESTY. This is the real connection that is being threatened - not in Truth - but in our minds and resulting communications.

Blame gaming is the antithesis of a truly embraced responsibility. THIS is where the real toxic debt lies; guilt and fear.

As usual I have fallen through the surface to speak of what is always hidden by the surfaces. Fair and just relations are not the result of social engineering apart from the basic rules of holding our House in order.

The precariousness of our human situation beggars belief, yet there is always one step that can be taken in good heart - even if it is simply to refuse the perspective of a lie and be open to something greater than our own thinking.

I sense the Universe is Abundant in ways we have not recognised - and will not recognize - whilst asserting a private independent self sense UPON Life, and acting out-from the script that always comes from such a foundation.

Thanks for the touch.

It is the nature of every heart to love truth, but the mind that wants to play its own game has to 'kill' the heart to seem to exist.

I was watching a pheasant eat at my bird feeder just minutes ago. Incredibly beautiful to simply be with, quite apart from the associations of them being incredibly stupid - perhaps due to being bred to be killed for sport.

A year or so ago I saw two male pigeons fighting in the way pheasants do - jumping up and down and having at each other. Only they were on a road and their engagement made them oblivious to the oncoming transit van. They gifted the world a momentary explosion of feathers - and marked a lesson in my heart.

There is so little sense in human communications because everyone winds their neck in. This makes them fearful and suspicious and unloving in their own perceptions - which easily become the 'reality' of which we share out from.

Despite appearances to the contrary, I feel there Is a movement within our hearts that (beneath the radar of the mind) is attracting a collective attention, and those who are willing, begin to question what they thought they KNEW. And those who insist on dreaming will do anything and everything to maintain distraction. But will have to do it unmasked of its glamour - and so it will disintegrate of any claim to true authority or allegiance.

I find both willingness and resistance in myself - and am learning to choose one and let the other go.

Who casts the first or any other stone must then duck, hide and lie. Unless of course they relinquish the temptation to be used by fear.

If now isn't a good time to break siege - when will now be different?

At times of fear coming to the surface - all kinds of stuff is triggered. If there is a real willingness to learn - these are ideal conditions. Perhaps I should have said 'consciously unlearn'.

There must be a better way - AND, I want to share in a willingness to be found in it - not by thinking - but by not thinking.

LSD and similar drugs may open the so called conscious mind to MIND - but often in a context of new wine into old bottles.
The results of attempting to exploit and manipulate Mind -  ARE - the consciousness and its reflection that we call the world.

The realm of direct and true INSIGHT is not at rest in LSD like it is in a truly present Relationship.

There is GREAT fear of opening the mind to its True Nature - because fear IS the mind of control and control IS the begetter of self-guilt - which then becomes a false basis of identity from which all addiction arises (both socially invisible or acceptable  and the tip of the iceberg of what is visibly and destructively known as addictive behaviour).

The crisis of individual and collective disintegration or breakdown of even the forms of trusting relationship becomes a willingness to re evaluate that which was previously NON-negotiable.

The 'getting' movement of thought and desire, is not our true nature. It COSTS us our true nature. The term true may be applied to an honest appraisal of the current state of thought and intent - and experience - but Truth is Awake and unspeakably free, glorious, wondrous. But the epithets are not to attract the 'getter' so much as to stir the awareness of that in you which DOES KNOW - but has been usurped, eclipsed or covered over by 'the mind of perception'.

In essence I am saying that the direction that these treatments indicate has value - but the real context of anything HELPFUL is a real relationship.

The sophistication of our addictive mind includes all the ingenuity of self deception and denial, and humanity as a whole is asleep in such intent. The blind cannot lead the blind. Real relationship with each other is one with real relationship (honest receptivity) within ourselves. The Spirit and Nature of what is received in honesty and trust can be articulated in all kinds of symbols or terms - but its tangibility is felt as unifying, integrating peace, freedom of feeling in joy and of thought in sharing  love's recognition.

When there is a true desire to know, these things are revealed, because they are only hidden by the desire to know the 'getting' mind of private addiction to one's own thought and experience above all else.

I was prompted to return here to say that willingness is the key. One cannot force good - or insight - upon the unwilling. One has to work with willingness - submit to and  discern willingness.

But where one recognizes that one's power has been given away and one is victim to one's own thought. Then despite the momentum of habit, a willingness can invite a process of healing, regardless of the apparent intensity of one's own resistance to such change.

A culture of support may be hard to find - but to hold true to willingness - regardless of how often one seems to slip, will cultivate and attract a culture of support.

Wilfulness also attracts a 'culture of support' in seeking to perceive and manage all things so as to validate and justify the separate self sense.

If that is what we want, that is what we get. But because it can never truly fulfil and disrupts our peace, we WILL realize that we do NOT want it. Being able to want what we in fact do not truly desire, is a capacity to impose an imaginitive will upon Life and identify with that as our own life. This is a mistake.

You don't need support for your ego - but for willingness for truth. This is not a head thing at all. We don't determine or make truth. It Is. Peace is the inevitable result of acceptance of what is  - as it is - and that is anything BUT passive!

The sense of life that is currently 'shared' in our culture is of an appalling hypocrisy and shallow mediocrity. It is increasingly 'normal' to accept a meaningless and unhappy life with no real sense of a true intimacy of self or with others or the world.

A joyless life is an emptiness demanding to be filled. Chemical drugs offer a bio tech substitute - but dependance on external substitutes for life is an underlying mentality that has to be addressed experientially - and in one way or another we all have to discover for ourselves where our true life is.
But when the pervasive culture perpetually reinforces sick illusion and hypocrisy - it is hardly surprising that the liability for folly is magnified.
