It all started with a bang, but the universe may not be expanding after all
Cosmology:
Consider eternity as a timeless now, the idea of time and space are part of a consciousness construct within it. Not the fleeting now between a past and future but an edgeless awareness that seems to be contained or encapsulated within a virtual consciousness. Not a new idea - but an idea in which all things are ever new.
Is this not similar to at the notion of a field of infinite probabilities that is dimensionless (and thus pervades and includes all apparent dimensions) that collapses to an instant of perceived event.
The thing about new perspectives is that they tend to at first be fitted into the frame of the old. Like cinema at first emulated theatre.
Idea is like projectionist film in Universal Mind - and focus can shift within and among Idea so as to set intent.
Within our consciousness as currently experienced is a linear process of evolving ideas that tends to be selected to maintain a continuity of 'self'.
Because of the current denial and displacement of Mind/Consciousness the term is associated with the weakest frailest fragment of self-awareness. Almost as if it were designed to hide from its True Nature in a body as a temporary life in a world of dead stuff that is somehow exactly aligned to support it yet otherwise overwhelmingly hostile and inevitably fatal.
If we brought the scientific analysis to bear on the so called separate self - as we did with the notion of a separate external controlling God, perhaps the utter selflessness of the Living Universe might open the door to the self as a focal node of Universal Consciousness - a bit like an eddy in a river; a vortex of experience within a greater relation of vortices.
But as it stands the lack of vision or direction arising from scientism as practiced so far has hung back in victorian mechanical mindsets - although anything serving the weaponization of all things for the purpose of control is racing on ahead of any checks and balances.
Without new perspective to take up our bed and walk out from a dead stuff/mindless energy universe we well self destruct... or perhaps wish we had. Never dismiss imagination of integrity and serendipity to a willingness to notice for these are ways that information comes in that is otherwise filtered out which prepares a seedbed for uncovering the next step.
Theories that turn out to have profit or power applications are one aspect - but where is the truth that inspires, unifies, encourages, and heals?
Science is not a guide for living. Nor need it undermine the guidance for living that does fulfil the list above. It needs the dimension of participance and transformation and not the dissection of the dead by the dead!
Singularity:
Consider God as Singularity - a dimensionless Always. A nothing of which everything Is and by which everything is. Not an absence of thing but an I that cannot ever be object to Itself as so never a thing - yet all things are it as it 'be's all that is.
The indivisibility or individuality of God is the image of all individuality - not in form but in essential qualities - and all things are not things excepting to a consciousness that has thinged itself (embraced a process of limitation in dimensionality). They are all wholenesses of purpose in larger relations such that an integrity or integrated balance of all idea in expression remains and reflects and expresses a Singularity or Unified Purpose.
As in all Creation there is an economy of means serving an infinite expression with each expressing unique and complementary qualities to an ever unfolding wholeness.
The unified perspective is what we have lost or forgotten or indeed disregarded in our particular process of unfoldment - but it hasn't gone anywhere, we have. Or rather our focus of attention and identity has. The distortion of the channel of communication has given rise to the notion of free will as a self creating right - which is the idea of individuality preying on Source and on relations rather than extending and sharing identity through relations. This is the reflection also that insinuates our interpretations of everything. Only be choosing to release the distortion does the natural or original pattern restore true and unified consciousness.
Let free will be the freedom to be and to share all that you are rather than to become and prove a something in your own right. Listen at the level of intuition for I am not saying give all your things away - but allow the natural extension of the qualities and gifts that are yours to share and grow by sharing. Misery is miserly. Getting is a predatory intent that loses the value of relation for an evaporation. Everything is part of a giving and receiving that truly is One Thing going on, experienced in infinite variety. Always Now Always new. Open your mind from fear's dictate. Learn to trust and grow your deepest truth sense and don't give it to anything outside you but honour that which serves its awakening with gratitude. With honesty, honour and gratitude, the mind will not go crazy even if it has to go through fundamental reality shifts.

The Conscious Universe pt 3 What Matters?

1) An upside down consciousness says 'I think' and a millennia of process in Consciousness is summarized as if a simple fact. I regret I cannot offer you brevity, but you can feel if any part resonates your desire to know your self. Or you can scan defensively to protect the self you think you know!
2) That which matters is that which is weighted in consciousness, has more gravity as a result and compels or attracts relative density.
The power of Consciousness is creation - but the limitation, fragmentation, dislocation, within Consciousness is a kind of hide and seek in which relative polarized forces appear to conflict as if separate.
The material sense is a structure through which consciousness experience itself within limitation. At the level of acting in the world it serves as a real framework. At the level of Consciousness is is a spontaneous Expression of Consciousness. All of it... (Universe/perceiver) arises as a Singularity of Cause/Event wherein no time has occurred - for time is a continuity of conscious identification.
Consider the quantum view as a uncovering of the Bible's "Behold, I make all things new". Eternal Appreciation is not a possessive identification.
Because we are already using the power of Mind to limit mind, we look out as if limitation is in some sense done unto us - and our bodies protect that sense of limitation against the Infinite. They are separation devices... in which thinking - in its range of attention, identification, intention, belief, reaction, and control, and so forth, is the self-conditioning architect of a personal/collective experience, 'out of Eden'.
Until, re-awakening to that the true Nature of Life is Communication, and then all that we are or seem to be becomes restored or harmonized to communication. To a true Communioned Expression of unified will.
The miracle that a world can appear to a wish or that events can harmonize to fulfil desire is no miracle, but the way the mind works - or indeed Mind.
The Fact of Awareness is pushed aside in the forcing of attention out onto 'the world'. And becomes 'taken-for-granted' amidst the reassuringly 'known' and 'solid' world in which apparently external forces and things determine and define existence - one's own existence... and one's apparently imminent lack of existence. But our interpretation/meaning of all things is not fixed and in truth the power we give all the meanings we make or accept remains with us to express creatively.
The fundamental nature of matter is not other than the energy of Spirit - for want of a better term. God is neither outside nor defined by, Living Universe or Son - but inhabits the part and the whole at once.To truly know the part is to know the whole for they cannot be separate except in supposition of 'as if'. The use of imagination in 'as if' is a modelling of a thought construct. You can create devices to flesh out the modelling and play with variables. But when the mind comes back into its full actual presence, there is no 'as if', but only the fully relational conscious awareness/appreciation of Being. It feels/knows Itself peace through love's extension/recognition. Such is the innate quality/nature of Home, that seems lost, hidden or fractured by an apparently split mind, the world-interpretation was made to hide.

Is there a savant inside all of us?
An article in the Telegraph in which the brain is revealed to have vastly more capacity or ability than in most of us is apparent.
Start out with God - or if you prefer, with Unlimited and Indivisible Mind.
Then imagine and invest in limiting and divisive or self conflicting thought - which cannot actually divide the Indivisible, but can serve as a lens and provide an overlay of experience in which to explore the experience itself and become defined and identified within it as a self-existing entity.
Everything in one's experience reflects faithfully the program of thought and desire that is essentially running in the background - while on the surface the 'user' mentality believes it is this self existing self and that all else is its dominion - to prevail over in judgement if not in act (though it may seek such control as it can get it!).
This may be asking too much of the reader to consider, but like the comment after this one, I am suggesting that our thinking - at least at the level of definitions, beliefs, identifications and judgements is a distorting filter of limitation.
We are (generally) addicted to our thinking and to the experience it engenders as our very (and only) life - as we are to the desire to be special and to use power over the 'other' or indeed over the whole, in attempt to make our thinking (self) real.
The actual power of Mind (capitalized to indicate Universal and all pervading), is terrifying to the 'little mind' - and is effectively denied awareness by a complex of denial, dissociation and distraction that serves to protect it while it plays in limitation. But this 'ego' structure is not fact but action - not unlike an unimaginably powerful supercomputer fully active in presenting you with a virtual existence - within your own Being - that becomes unaware of anything beyond its own program - a program that feeds back on itself as a loop - such that the past re enacts itself over and over again.
The desire and defence that maintains continuity of experience of self can be interrupted or shocked such as to reveal anomalies of all kinds and on all levels. Usually there is a tidy away function that sweeps these out of sight asap or denigrates them as - 'must have imagined it' and etc - but many leaks occur in which more of the totality of what you Are - is revealed.
Some aspects of this are apparently random, as in accidents that leave someone with a changed ability that may not have much apparent consequence beyond not being able to account for it.
Other aspects are of a communication or communion of the mind / Mind. These are not always so visible in external terms but are key to a true functionality of life whether we become Self-Aware or not.
The faculty of discernment is lost amidst the insistence that it serve a personal power of advantage and yet it is a direct 'link' with Mind as the sense of the wholeness and root nature of all things. As such it is also one with inspiration and true answer because there is no inspiration or answer in programmed thinking - no matter how well it is presented.
I write this as a sketch for consideration. That our self definitions are in fact limitation and our world definitions are not different from that.
If one only seeks answer for the beliefs and conditionings of the 'organic' sense of self as separate entity - and substitutes meat-brain for mind then death is the starting point and not life - whatever powers may be added to its fleeting span!

Why sex is not what we think
An article on why sex evolved? doesn't mean a lot to me because I don't see evolution as the god it is worshipped to be by a mentality that hasn't truly observed and owned its own foundation.
I wrote two comments below:

Comment 1:
There is a two way aspect to all things in this world.
Looked at with the lens of separation, sex is all the things that a mechanical survival based view, measures and observes it as being; a transaction or communication dictated by 'prevail and survive'. The very nature of the survival urge is of response to threat and the very nature of the urge to prevail sets up the action by which opposing reaction gives rise to a sense of threat. The whole business is covered over with a self-protective fantasy in which the forms of Life are used to enact fantasy upon. Such is not only pertaining to sex - but the world! Living in our story rather than observing and responding to actuality as an integral participant.
Looked at with the implicit awareness of a pure participance, sexual love is one integral aspect of a reflection of a merging or Unified essence. An undefendedness of being to its own Source and Nature. To love God perfectly (holding nothing back as one's own 'take') IS to love your brother as your self. (Brother here is not a sexual term but an indicator of a common Source and Nature).
The commandments made famous by Jesus are not something one can 'do' but are something one can let into and realize to be true - by releasing all the self-regarding 'doings' that obstruct the natural flow of our being.
The inter-penetrating nature and communication that is also 'sex' is not a special state of breaking siege in order to go out and get something; but is the Way everything already be's.
The lens of separation or 'thinking' uses Life to get something - and that it how it gets to feel deprived. Repeated getting hollows out and depletes the relationship of any residual Blessing. The forms of sex are ritually enacted in order to get things from relationship and often by mutual agreement have no real intent to actually relate directly at all.
Sex is thus one of the simplest ways of experiencing shared being - and 'making' love is not so much making it as making love welcome and tangible.
Sex is thus one of the most guilt ridden and convoluted complexities of the human mind.
Another angle is simply to say that everything is only what you bring of yourself to it. The purpose that we hold in our heart and mind determines everything of our experience - starting with the very sense of self from which all else proceeds.

Love's delight is in infinite variety of unique expression.
This extends in a world of form as a playful exploration of forms - but is also the capacity of love to be ever new. Heraclitus never made love to the same woman twice - for she is not as she was before and nor is he. This is the Secret within form that chasing after and identifying with form has forgotten.
Back to organic perspectives:
That there is a communication between apparently conflicting interests at a deeper level is itself enough to suggest Tweedledee and Tweedledum - who SEEMS to effect a polarity of conflicting forces or interests but dissolve before the awareness of the Big Black Crow.
Not a very nice word for God - but there's no way that the mind in addiction to conflict is going to recognize or welcome love.
But the capacity of the mind to put truth (now!) on hold while pursuing an idea is not to be underestimated. Nor is it in itself sinful. But a wilfulness to lock reality (now!) out so as to prevail in one's own thought will bring with it all the baggage of sin, (dissonance or 'wrongness' of being), sickness and struggle and isolation and loss.
Because the mind can make itself sort of temporarily comfortable within such a hell, it can protect its own suffering against its own joy. Nothing one says to it will get through. But tolerance for pain is not infinite. Mind is not FIXED or LOCKED.
Letting life in and growing trust are one step at a time willingness for letting Life Move You as one-with instead of trying to leverage it from a presumed separateness.

The surface mind attempts to conceive or imagine a construct that 'justifies' and makes sense of the thinker, to itself. Such a thinker believes (and experiences) that they are as the preposition of that construct defines. This is an overlay of consciousness-experience upon what might be called Mind or pure awareness.
Creation in its pure sense didn't 'happen' in the past because it is an Eternal Is. That is, it is the Always and Only Condition. Our Father, Who Art (in) Heaven. Not 'Other' and 'than which nothing truly can be 'other'.
Thought in its original movement, IS the Movement of Being within itself in which Awareness Knows it is aware, through the shared or unified nature of being - which is love. The 'I think therefore I am' is not the proof of a separate self from the process of thought or being but a realization of Life as Movement of Being Itself.
BUT, to use the sense and image of I, as a focal point from which to stand as it were 'outside' or separate from the Movement of Being, is to introduce a lens of separative thought as a filtering and distorting experience - whose sense of 'self' substitutes for the unified awareness of being - IN ITS OWN focal experience. This is so because what IS cannot actually Be as it is not, and so remains true even through the experiences of a thought that seems to have splintered Wholeness and become a mind alone and all by itself - with other similar 'minds'. Whose separateness seems survival itself and is protected by a body - that is an aspect of Mind associated with tangibility of identification over which some degree of control can be temporarily effected.
The surface mind cannot and will not look within at its own underpinnings but looks fixedly without - at a world of form in space and time - that is to its perspective … life.
It does not see that it is looking at Self because it is not looking with Self or as Self.
Everything about it is programmed or mechanical, yet it believes it has 'free will' - which is to say free to think or do according to its own 'choice'.
Choice was introduced in the separation thought as a sense of being able to choose to be in the experience of separateness or to rest in Unified Being and let the experience dissolve. It is not a real choice because a choice between Everything and nothing cannot really have but one outcome if you ARE One with Everything. But choice became a substitute for true Freedom - which is simply the Movement of Being that Is love.
That Thought can say "Let there be light" - and there Is light, ought hardly to be surprising. But in the orphaned surface consciousness that we take to be reality, thought is made weak and material force and form seems overwhelming - but not quite... This is by design of a mind that became afraid of its own power and nature, that hides its confusion in unconsciousness - from which only those thoughts which protect its survival are allowed consciousness.
But the construct of a separateness that is not true is like an eddy in a flowing river. The forces that gave rise to its pattern are not themselves Eternal - and change and disintegration are inherent to what seemed a centre around which all else moved.
Thoughts can reflect the Eternal as well as the temporal. The difference is the focus.
As long as the focus is fixed on the surface reality, this is given your life because your attention is the movement of your awareness. But to put aside or suspend this exclusive focus - that is to relax the mind of identity, differentiation and judgement or desire - allows the Natural Focus of Unified Being to register to your awareness - as You.
If this is given welcome and not rejected, it grows and restores your mind to a naturally aligned perception - that is as the expression and extension of the Movement of Being that it never has not been. In such awakened intelligence is the nowness of form seen truly in its living context - and recognized as of One Mind and not seen as a conflicted and polarized reflection of a mind at war with itself.
Talking to the crowd or the footballers, while a game is on, as to the true nature of the game, is a futile gesture! But a willingness to write this here may meet with those whose attention or allegiance has waned for the game and who are therefore available to notice.
It is only sketches that point within - where our own words and concepts cannot go - but only cast shadows.

The 'I think therefore I am' is not the proof of a separate self from the process of thought or being but a realization of Life as Movement of Being Itself.
BUT, to use the sense and image of I, as a focal point from which to stand as it were 'outside' or separate from the Movement of Being, is to introduce a lens of separative thought as a filtering and distorting experience - whose sense of 'self' substitutes for the unified awareness of being - IN ITS OWN focal experience. This is so because what IS cannot actually Be as it is not, and so remains true even through the experiences of a thought that seems to have splintered Wholeness and become a mind alone and all by itself - with other similar 'minds'. Whose separateness seems survival itself and is protected by a body - that is an aspect of Mind associated with tangibility of identification over which some degree of control can be temporarily effected.
The surface mind cannot and will not look within at its own underpinnings but looks fixedly without - at a world of form in space and time - that is to its perspective … life.
It does not see that it is looking at Self because it is not looking with Self or as Self.
Everything about it is programmed or mechanical, yet it believes it has 'free will' - which is to say free to think or do according to its own 'choice'.
Choice was introduced in the separation thought as a sense of being able to choose to be in the experience of separateness or to rest in Unified Being and let the experience dissolve. It is not a real choice because a choice between Everything and nothing cannot really have but one outcome if you ARE One with Everything. But choice became a substitute for true Freedom - which is simply the Movement of Being that Is love.
That Thought can say "Let there be light" - and there Is light, ought hardly to be surprising. But in the orphaned surface consciousness that we take to be reality, thought is made weak and material force and form seems overwhelming - but not quite... This is by design of a mind that became afraid of its own power and nature, that hides its confusion in unconsciousness - from which only those thoughts which protect its survival are allowed consciousness.
But the construct of a separateness that is not true is like an eddy in a flowing river. The forces that gave rise to its pattern are not themselves Eternal - and change and disintegration are inherent to what seemed a centre around which all else moved.
Thoughts can reflect the Eternal as well as the temporal. The difference is the focus.
As long as the focus is fixed on the surface reality, this is given your life because your attention is the movement of your awareness. But to put aside or suspend this exclusive focus - that is to relax the mind of identity, differentiation and judgement or desire - allows the Natural Focus of Unified Being to register to your awareness - as You.
If this is given welcome and not rejected, it grows and restores your mind to a naturally aligned perception - that is as the expression and extension of the Movement of Being that it never has not been. In such awakened intelligence is the nowness of form seen truly in its living context - and recognized as of One Mind and not seen as a conflicted and polarized reflection of a mind at war with itself.
Talking to the crowd or the footballers, while a game is on, as to the true nature of the game, is a futile gesture! But a willingness to write this here may meet with those whose attention or allegiance has waned for the game and who are therefore available to notice.
It is only sketches that point within - where our own words and concepts cannot go - but only cast shadows.

Limitations and seductions of thinking
(Written as a general reflection into the comment of an article from Robert Lanza, who is a proponent of Biocentrism).

Thinking that is disconnected from the felt sense and presence of life as wholeness, flow, be-ing, is like an overlay of experience and identification, running as a virtual reality but lived as real.
To challenge the experience of a world and a self within it that runs as a reversal of the felt or intuited qualities of Life, is to be willing to be innocently curious.
For the seduction of a sense of self as a personal power to determine its own meanings and become something in its own right, is an addictive sort of game in Mind that runs like a trapped mind in ever densifying conflicts, evasions and denials.
While we are actively engaging such purpose in identity, we are virtually blind to the Unified Nature of (Our and All) Being, and experience the Self-Same-Thing as a polarized and self-conflicting perspective, due to the lens of the thought that is held by a wish to see Everything differently; in the framework of an 'as if'.
Feel the utterly convincing power of the reality of this moment as it communicates all that is now - right where you are - (as the awareness of your being), and realize that Mind is not the little thinker in its little experience. Mind (for want of a better word) is the Always Source, Nature and Condition of all experience.
Even as programs have sub routines which have subroutines or as folders on your computer can be deeply nested within folders within their own parent folders, our human consciousness is inherently an expression of a Source that it has been programmed initially to look out and away from. And looking 'upstream' or intuiting our Source, is inherently taboo to the structures of the mind that maintain the continuity of focus that we take as our consciousness.
Hence thinking will always tend to express and support a sense of self that is experience over and against - or differentiated from its experience. This perpetuates the dream of a separated existence and while this is the active desire, all is running as has been set in motion even if the content of the experience itself is distressing, felt to be out of control and suffering victim-hood.
But in opening experientially to receive the wholeness of our current experience - that is, as a 'beholding awareness' in a trust that is free from defining or manipulating its consciousness-experience, we release the conditions which block a true or innate Purpose from acting through us.
In simple terms, the Purpose of Mind or Being is 'Know Thy Self'.
The Self of Universal Being is not the programmed 'self' of the limited mind in a body bag and It does and is Knowing Itself in All That It Is.
Because we associate 'self' with control, we seem to become a mask in a carnival ride, but even so does a mind know itself through its thought-experience.
Thoughts that reflect a fragmented and conflicted dissonance - even if seeming to express a prevailing righteous will, make their experience of self and world.
But thoughts that embody and reflect truth - that are not defined or manufactured by a manipulative imagination, serve to release distorting influence and restore a natural communication of the whole in all its parts.
The attempt to add to oneself as defined is the predicate of loss and suffering. But the realisation of the wholeness through the relations of its parts is the awakening to the Condition in which all things are given because they are not withheld.
Any attempt to articulate the Unspeakable - to define what cannot be separated from in any way and so cannot be imaged or made object or conceived - is bound to participate in the imagination of a separate one. But in the Intent to awaken, it can also serve as a breadcrumb trail or an Ariadne's thread.
To feel one's intuitive sense stirring, is an awakening. To honour and value it is to align to it rather than exploit it. To notice that one exploits rather than loves, is an awakening. To release the exploitive will is to receive and be restored to Universal Will.
I once thought I was an explorer, but I was on the run, and that was my cover. What we are afraid of, programs us, and hides the traces of the program. To be afraid of love is to be afraid of the loss of control, of personal freedom, and the capacity to think and do separate. All this is true - but such thinking doesn't know
the joy of being an agency of Shared Thought - of a communioned sense of shared purpose, of a rested awareness in which an indivisible peace allows all that is needed, to be known.
But we do have glimpses of these things, in inspiration, in working together, in moments of wonder and appreciation.
If this isn't our natural experience, we blame externals - the human condition. But the opening of Mind to its true nature is a call for awakening responsibility for our thought.

The Higgs boson Gotcha!
I am not a scientist, in the sense usually meant, for I do not seek outside, but seek to see what seems outside, from a true or innocent, perspective. So for me, the world is reflecting what could be called aspects of Mind - not the mind that we ascribe ourself and each other, which is a mutually learned active process of self-differentiation from Mind, in which we experience ourselves and the world 'externally'.
When we look out, we are seeing something reflected of our own Mind - that is not within the focus of the apparent control which we associate with our self, and which is not available to be known or seen directly from the perspective of the mode or mind of control - because the assertion of force as 'self', acts out an action- reaction loop in which Ground Awareness is effectively obscured by distractive identity.
I felt to essay this much, because truth is not a discovery of man but the uncovering of an awareness in which nothing contradicts itself or limits or sets apart to judge. To mere thought, this must read as nonsense, but to a willingness to accept a perfectly unified and indivisible being - exactly where the experience of selves and world is seeming to occur - it is like Everything coming into clear focus from a Perspective that had been forgot amidst the personal experience of action and reaction, which can now be observed empty of personal investment.
The Higgs field of our own mind is not unlike a veil or lens whereby an Indivisibility, is experienced as differentiated force and matter, space and time, observer and observed. It can hardly last an instant, yet opens a 'portal' through which manifest existence is expressed and experienced, not exclusively from a subjective view within its universe, but the Primary Awareness knowing Itself in All.
Human concept is inherently unable to articulate Indivisibility and can only make sketches that trigger an Intimate and thoughtless realisation, from which proceeds expressions of a like nature. Such expressions embody the qualities that are the foundations of true cultural renewal, because they are not a persistence of the reaction mind, but embody a fresh perspective.
Problem solving is addictive to many but the problem that is kept unsolved is of the division of our heart and mind. If mind 'goes off on its own' it creates it's own self-illusion. We should know this well by now, but are still asleep to our true nature while we collude in engaging such wishful thinking in e ery kind of guise.
I do not know what I am or what anything is.
Yet this realisation opens to That Which Is, by absence is self asserted identity and the realisation is Unspeakable, and confers no status nor advantage save that of apprehending truly.

For everything 'outside' I feel a correspondence within.
My admittedly poetic use of the Higgs Field as a name for what feels similar in function is not a scientific fact but perhaps a pointer to where to bring attention to - in the working of the mind.
While (some) scientists seek a Unified Theory of Everything, I put it that Indivisibility is Already Fact - but that a trick of the mind makes it SEEM as if an action of desire and intention has set off a chain of reactions whereby thought and its implied 'thinker' have an independent polarised existence in a tangibility of energy and mass.
The presumption of independent self is so all pervasive and deepseated as the foundation of our consciousness, that it is difficult to even bring it to question. (Though I see science is in fact deconstructing the 'self' as an actual entity just as it is clearing out wishful thinking about an external God).
Realization may find clothes in thought - and a thought may express some aspect of the breakthrough - but it truly is of an order beyond thinking. Thinking can be used as a term to include all aspects of mind - but I tend to use it for conceptual imaginative construct.
The old adage, "Be still, and know God" is not addressed to a thinking approach and isn't suggesting a coercive or controlled stillness of an imposed concept.
To experience without the interpretations and assertions and commentary of the separate self sense (thinking)is to at least glimpse and Indivisibility or wholeness of be-ing.
This intimate fact has absolutely no value for a mind engaged in its own constructs or pet projects, and so is rendered to be of no value (without mass). Yet the light of awareness is the (always and already) Context of everything you or I ever think and experience. It is Name-less and unspeakable because you cannot actually separate yourself from it to do so, (But in the imagination that we have (by defining self, other and world), is every human thought and its experience made).
Should this awareness stir within you, you may experience everything that the mind constructs as meaning - as completely unfounded and meaningless - not unlike an elaborate theory that turned out to be unfounded. Some aspect of this occurs for a lot of us in all sorts of contexts, but usually everything focusses upon regaining a solidity of self as if that was the only sanity - like keeping a well sealed lid over the deeper aspects of our consciousness and their associated fears and inadequacies.
The collusive and mutually self validating behaviour of human beings in constructing their reality runs much deeper than what is visible on surface. However the desire to KNOW - is also alive within us all - whether it has stirred in your life yet or not - and this may take all sorts of routes and expression, including scientific endeavour.
I do not feel any necessary or inherent division between spiritual enquiry and any other human endeavour so I include something of my perspective here simply as an invitation to meet without persuasion or assertion beyond the witness that I am able to articulate with this conceptual tool - amidst this particular cultural context.
Because I presume a different foundation, I will be perhaps very hard to understand because it doesn't extend the existing concepts so much as use them in a different way. But I am also very easy to pass by without hardly noticing. It isn't like anyone has to listen in if they haven't some interest moving already in their own mind.

While mind is asserted to be merely subjective, imaginative and essentially separated from and defined by material reality - ONLY material interpretations will be perceived or accepted.
But the Unified Field is MIND, or Non Local Indivisibility of which local instances of apprehension occur as instants that reflect and express 'Know Thyself'. Being knows itself in the act of being.
"Be still and know God" is evidenced in the Awe of Awareness Intuiting its own Existence.
The presuppositions of the self as separate actor and observer are no less wishful thinking than of a God of a different Nature to Awareness Itself.
THAT anything Is, is the First Wonder, WHAT anything is, already focuses attention on a 'separated facet or part' of a Singularity of Being, temporarily ignored or forgotten in the persistent definition of the image of Itself. The awakening of Unified Wholeness, is not an intellectual act or option, but Is the Ground of Being regardless of the use to which mind is put.
To experience a wondrous Life in place of divided, managed and controlled life, remains a current option, and also allows a greater discernment to inform our participation in relationships, allowing the distorting lens of action and reaction to fade to a restored Perspective.

Reality beyond magic (response to article: 'The Magic of Reality' by Richard Dawkins
Qualities of be-ing - such as awe, beauty, wonder - and indeed love in its root sense of oneness with - are not the realm of science - but of course the practice of science is in a context of intimacy - because being is an Intimacy that cannot be defined.
Because our mind does define reality - in its own imaged symbol and concept - we have identification with our definitions. I am this - I am not that.
This psychological self is a fundamental to all else that comes forth. Like a big bang it 'splits' Unified Singularity into an experience of apparent division, in which awareness seems to be locked into - or existing AS - a mind predicated upon selection or judgement. The psychological self of such a mind is associated with a will or focus of control that can be called 'survival'. It is outwardly oriented toward objects - including the seemingly private objects of its own thought. It cannot 'know' of what is forever beyond its capacity, that is it cannot know of the innate qualities of Be-ing - but that it is suspended or temporarily unemployed.
You are infinitely more than your thought could ever define or 'know', for you are the awareness in which All experience occurs. But this is not the psychological 'you' - but you as Expression of Universal Awareness.
We cannot turn the source of awareness back upon itself, but we can look at the objects that arise in awareness - and so we study 'the world'. But the apparatus we are looking WITH may colour and distort the findings - as a lens darkly.
So science is an attempt to uncover truth uncoloured by wishful or manipulative stories. But in doing so it separates the observer from the observed and reduces its remit to the most gross of phenomena.
Of course there is a value in using 'as if' to conjecture, test and apply or incorporate findings, but 'as if' is not the nature and truth of awareness Itself.
Science must be of true service to humanity and not merely of utility to vested interests - if it is to hold the allegiance in the hearts of those who do feel the desire to serve and honour life.
The capacity to act out the mode of conflicted competition is not our original nature. I say this because I know that there is a love of truth that abides in a communion with that which is forever Alive beyond definition - whatever symbols or stories we may or may not use as our attunement.
I look to discern as best I may - that which is of true service to us all. To do this necessitates suspending or putting aside the personal investments of the psychological self that is forever seeking to validate and support itself in differentiation.
Writing as I do, is attempting to communicate from a different presumption of self and so is defended against by the mind that is certain that it thinks it knows. Of myself I make no particular claim - but of a sense of love and beauty and wonder I am willing to reach out.
The blindness of man is that he thinks he is what he thinks he is - self validates in mutual agreements - but forever finds difference and opposition and makes overcoming this his 'meaning' in life. But Meaning - (Unified Singularity) preexists even the thought 'I".

Writing as I do, is attempting to communicate from a different presumption of self and so is defended against by the mind that is certain that it thinks it knows. Of myself I make no particular claim - but of a sense of love and beauty and wonder I am willing to reach out.
The blindness of man is that he thinks he is what he thinks he is - self validates in mutual agreements - but forever finds difference and opposition and makes overcoming this his 'meaning' in life. But Meaning - (Unified Singularity) preexists even the thought 'I".

Mind control by a virus
Please permit me a multidisciplinary observation and proposition:
We humanly tend to presume an independent mind in a body, separate from - and in competition with other minds in other bodies. But such evidence as this article suggests that Mind is in fact not just greater than any individual programmed system or organism, but is greater than species.
I suggest that Mind - as the Context of ALL experience, is all pervading - as a non-local Field. Not an External to us God-Mind - as mythically imagined or conjectured, but an All Inclusive Singularity of Unified Awareness.
But the many levelled programs of 'self versus world' and 'self versus other' and 'self versus self, are of such a distracting complexity - and indeed fascination and wonder - that attention is fixated toward the contents of experience and the processing of such experience as an ongoing reprogramming of 'our own mind'.
Because we humanly desire and presume our own independent 'power' and identity - with a sense of separate self-will, we seek and gather the evidences to support our 'self' and see that as identical with survival. But the focus of the separate self-sense is a self fulfilling distraction.
Perhaps, unlike the caterpillar, we have a capacity to discern the mind that is operating or active in our case in any particular instance. I say this because the human consciousness is of a nature that is not merely organism - but is Self-Aware - which is to say directly aware prior to any process of identifications or applied meanings. To open or awaken this quality of being is to open at a level associated with inspiration, illumination and direction amidst a unified perception. It is also the capacity to discern thoughts which could be seen very much like viruses, in that they find a welcome in a host-mind and then undermine the host so as to multiply at the expense of the life of the host.
That the world reflects the inner aspects of our mind-strategies is hardly surprising - because mind is our projector and receptor.
The idea of mind as the control of something separate from it is an expression of a choice to separate from life in order to conduct an experiment. But one cannot separate from life excepting imaginatively.
Fear not that you are being manipulated - unless of course guilt or fear is the active principle - in which case, desist acting on such basis and feel for the integrated movement of being that is at its very nature - Life.
