I see opposing perspectives in human relations. Each sees the evil in the other but doesn't recognize its own reflection.
The imposition of coercive 'law' or definition, arising from mis-identified self concept in fixed idea, oppresses, subjugates and denies the will - the movement of response. The feelings are by nature receptive and reflective and hence reflect this oppositional force as grievance within survival instinct beneath which is its core movement of the need to be accepted and not denied. A Splitting into mind based and feeling based identities.
These split minds, relate or rather - fail to relate - through forms of communication breakdown that sets as conditioning of precedent by which a template is formed from which forms crystalize to fixed meanings, that persist the patterning of the original error in all that comes forth.

Identity in self-Concept denies freedom to evolve, grow and change - being a SET idea of how anything and everything "must" be. the shadow of the seeming light of such assertive consciousness - goes forth as a communication of inadequacy, fear, guilt, anger and powerlessness UNCONSCIOUSLY and is reflected in forms reflecting what is actually done and not merely what is said or asserted as true.

The causal in this is the spiritual acceptance of image or concept as substitution filter over the Living Self - which inherently or implicitly reflects a denial or opposition and undermining of self-image - and justifies and reinforces the cycle of righteous assertiveness over reflections it cannot tolerate or recognize itself in.
Yet with the honesty of breakdown comes the willingness to re-evaluate EVERYTHING from the very beginning - and this willingness for integration, healing and indeed joy uncovers false sense of self in concept - whose release allows the acceptance of the feedback that is needs from what it previously sought to control.

Consciousness is always the template reality from which manifestation follows, but attention exclusively focusing within its own thought becomes conditioned to identify within its terms as if trapped in its own dream/nightmare. Until and unless it opens true balance within itself rather than persisting in imposing an inbalances order that propagates disorder.
The split off feeling has an imprint of terror and yet must find its way to move through this to find the acceptance without which is all feeling consciousness lost, presence denied and death embraced or indeed compelled.

That was an attempt to sketch something that might stir a resonance. For the governance we operate within or upon our own consciousness is our reflected experience For a start we can recognize assertive righteousness as a mask overhate and choose not to join in and strengthen mutually agreed definitional structures that thrive on hate - whilst honestly feeling hatred and finding what is really in it.
Who wants to start embracing their negative and denied feelings when there are so many perfect scapegoats upon which to 'get rid of it'? (Whichever side or whatever polarised position one identifies within).
Only those in whom an honesty of being stirs from being deeply troubled.
A true and trustworthy quality and process of communication is the only basis for establishing just or indeed sane relationships. The conceptually oriented deny all emotional communication excepting where it affords leverage to outcomes of control. The emotional distrust and aversion to stepping forth into an arena of communication by which they are persistently invalidated and denied is very deep seated.

As for determining just outcomes; every situation is a unique circumstance. Nothing really ever happens twice - excepting one narrows reality down to an extremely tiny focus within fixed forms. the form in and of itself is not the reality - and manipulators know that and use it to make anything seem to be anything. Discerning the Spirits is a receptive quality that is innate - but which tends to be covered over and invalidated. yet discerning the Spirits is the means by which one navigates and rises out from an insane complexity that resulted from an originally simple error. You are not who you think you are, and are free to discover what you are in willingness to open to an honesty of  feeling and safely allow a visceral and energetic communication to occur.

I do not give credibility to anything reported at face value, especially when effectively pasted into the main stream media. In modern times more sophisticated ways of engineering perceptions and indeed consent are available and used without due transparency or accountability. A purpose of self-protection operates openly. But what is protected to persist may not be true of us and may actually hasten loss or death. Fear stifles growth and war inflames negative 'growths'.

We are assured that our established institutional power structures are acting in our best interest and not serving their own private agenda as a power cartels - for by the regulatory protections that deny transparency and accountability, they become cartels imposing upon their will upon their citizens rather than in a genuine relationship of service.

Criminal acts are not acceptable and the rule of law is called upon. No matter who is involved.

Is the seeding and propagation of terrorism used as a proxy for other agendas? - for the so called "War On" anything has always effected the promotion and seeding of that thing - wither haplessly or by design. So who benefits? - what agendas are enacted within its cover? Follow the money? Note the consolidations of power? What are the weaknesses by which we are exploited to support what we would not otherwise choose or tolerate in ourself?

Are you told what to think? Is fear the basis of our thinking, or are we indeed created in and of a true presence of communication extending?

The 'deceiver' is fear-thinking. It plays all sides of any conflict and uses our fears as a point of gaining leverage and support. Personally I recommend not to use it, for no matter what it promises it always deals the same hand.

It appears that Mr Cameron is openly dealing the death penalty to British citizens in a foreign country without any prior procedure of trial or accountability whilst appealing to secret intelligence under notional security to justify himself after the act. That the individuals may have in fact been who the intelligence says they were and intending what is said they were is not the point - though anyone emotionally captive to the narrative will insist it is THE point. But that is the power of controlling the narrative! The war being unleashed is not contained or containable excepting by pausing from reaction within the narrative of hate and fear and the distortions and deceptions that are natural to hate and fear.

Everything we do, teaches others but also sets the measure of our own learning. We come to believe our own spin! We ARE each and all making choices that determine our world - and the world that then unfolds of such choices - for to choose to love to hate invites hatred to usurp our sovereignty of will in a false sense of power and an over extending reach that hollows out and lays waste. And we are undone not by 'enemy' but by our own vanity and folly. Who thinks they can control war? The globalist "elite" and their new world order? They embody the idea of war - not in their core humanity - but in the idea of exclusive right or power to prevail over and deny all else. And of course such action brings equal and opposite reaction - which they think they are using but they are out of relation and cannot see the humanity of others because they do not accept their own. I do believe a global governance will come - but one that serves the balance points for a maximal diversity of living, not a top-down dictate upon slaves. We've been there so many times.

Our humanity is the key to our divinity - but to become in the image of our hate is to forsake our true inheritance and believe ourself denied and to seek scapegoats to dump on and to kill.  It isn't really fundamentalism, extremism or radicalism - but an exclusive self righteousness within whatever forms mask the hate and thus give it justification - or sanctify it in the 'religion' of victim sacrifice to a jealous and vengeful god - for such is the god of fear  - regardless to forms it takes.

Waking up is a capacity to discern the communication within the form - rather than captive to form-based narrative. Why feed a man with fear when you can teach him how to recognize phishing attacks?

Perhaps, this is a last moment before technology with GPS automatically enforces a maximum speed and all cars have to be fitted with it. And then it will drive the car - which wont be needed much because we'll all be plugged into a 'Matrix'-like existence that essentially medicates us with 'safe' pseudo experience; a managed 'reality'.

Meanwhile... the letter of the law can always be smugly and vociferously defended by the self-righteous.

The casting of the motorist as an easy and legitimate target to attack, tax or limit comes out of a 'health and safety' mentality that has grown disproportionately to functionality. It also comes out of the guilt mentality of the global warming consciousness in which the car is cast as a scapegoat.

The application of a tick box mentality that is supposed to 'fulfil' duty of care or protection. Being 'seen' to support targets that are the blinkers of self delusion.

An imposition of rule enforcement that is mechanically enforced without any process of relationship, education or communication.

All these things speak of a blindness of the heart; a lack of wisdom.

On the other side of the coin, an idolization of independent mobility as a purely personal freedom - as personified particularly in the car - is also an emotional blindness to that it is - or WAS - much more of a danger than so much else that gets blown up out of all proportion. (As manipulators of a feeble media love to do).

What is missing in our society, in this as in all else - is a true presence of a heartfelt relationship. This is diminished and enfeebled in almost every social context, and in its place a mechanical template runs that runs as a system without heart or soul.

To drive with due care and attention, relative to all the factors present in the external conditions, and the internal conditions, is not defined or supported by such blunt measures as speed limits - unless and except as they are intelligently set and proportionately enforced with discretion.

To make an ass of the law doesn't serve to grow respect for the law. To make a tyranny of being watched, tracked and punished for even small misdemeanours is something almost everyone can recognize in their workplace today as a manipulative guile by which trust and communication are replaced with being controlled.

Reaction and opinion are cheap and easy. Laws made out of such emotional partiality appeal to the surface realities of our mind without discerning what the issues really are.

If we want a culture of a generosity of spirit, an abundance of good will and imaginative and heartfelt vision for a world and a way of life that grows a true commonwealth rather than hollowing out to debt and depletion, then there has to be a sense of the context of everything and not just the forms it presents. What comes from a meanspirited and joyless mind can only grow such a mind. The attempt to control life is anathema to life.

And yes the attempt to make special exception of our personal self from the rules of the house by which unacceptable behaviour is met with limitation, education and rehabilitation.

How exactly, do human beings wake up to their true nature and relationships? We are not machines.

The right to be rude? Insult a criminal offence?

It is clear to see that special cases are given priority where other cases of a similar nature are ignored.
Where defamation of character is reasonable to challenge in law, hurt feelings are not.
A quickness to use a law that was supposed to protect, as a weapon, means that all other means are not first tried before a last resort.
The criminalisation and public demonization of thoughts is a tyranny that blocks the possibility of the healing of such thoughts.
As if fear and punishment and blame can stamp out fear and punishment and blame.

However, the non acceptance of habits of behaviour that were once accepted or unchallenged is a movement of integrity - and worth finding a better way of holding.

The capacity of the mind to dehumanize or blank another, devalues both the apparent victim and the apparent victimizer - though the recipient does not have to support the mentality to which they are exposed. One does not have to validate victimhood to express an integrity of being that calls for and witnesses truth.

The value of such understandings to humanity in its currently bankrupted and insanely dislocated state are INCALCULABLE - because they unlock the mind from its own self limiting errors and open pathways through which life flows abundantly.

But the passion and identification that human minds hold as their attempt to prevail or their attempt to protect from being prevailed over - make it almost impossible for such perspective to find welcome.

The true response to error is to correct it - but this is misunderstood if we think we can see a sin in another and escape it by stoning the other. Correction is witnessed by a realignment of harmony and not of an enforcement of will upon another.

Because we have each grown a vocabulary and perception of conflicted self, conflicted interests and a loveless or mean spirited and self righteous attempt to present ourselves justified - we have a war of communication. That is we use communication and 'truths' for a war that seems unquestionably real to us and a war which a fearful sense of self WANTS to be real - as it maintains the conditions in which we are hidden. It enables us to keep our mask without the knowledge that it is a mask.

A harmony of life is not a great mystery - though the depths of potential for such an alignment of heart and mind and communication surpass anything we could imagine possible.

One does not say to one who feels victim - "don't be a victim" but support that one in awakening and expressing their integrity - an integrity of being and not a mask of righteousness.

But when 'shit' comes to us, we do have an opportunity to pause from what may seem a righteous reaction, and listen deeper for the part we play in setting ourselves up for the experience. I am not saying that we consciously are responsible for our experience of what happens in our lives - but that we are unconscious to much of our wish, thought and intent - and that this is still active even though it is 'outlawed' or denied awareness. It simply manifests as our experience by different routes if one of them is blocked.

The current trend has been to manage and manipulate society - and this reflect perfectly the mind we accept as our self. If we want to see a more honest way of relating together we must honour what we are honestly feeling.

The mind of reaction is a programmed mind. It can be manipulated and coerced but to do so is to lose ones own communication to a manipulative mindset. To pause from reaction and release the emotional charge as a valid authority from which to act, is to allow a true authority to register in awareness.

We define freedom in our own self image. But freedom is itself free to disregard definitions and express itself in its true nature. While we feel our self concept must prevail, we suffer every kind of heartbreak and indignity and struggle amidst an overwhelming complexity of adversity - or numb our minds with whatever distracts so as to protect against the dispiriting weight of it.

The key to the release of self image and the awakening of a love and freedom believed lost, dead or impossible, is perhaps most simply offered in the phrase "Love thine enemy".
But realize that they are a role in your own script, that you are giving out - and that the welcome to yourself of what you had thought to deny and reject is your own Homecoming.

It will also reflect in the behaviours that proceed - but that is not the focus.

Archbishop of Canterbury: Government has no right to introduce gay marriage

This is simple; what 'God has joined as one' is beyond the power of man to divide. If two or more uncover or are found in such a trust, such an honouring, such a recognition (as intimated in Jesus' two most important commandments), then with or without the sanction or blessing of human institution, that is the Life that moves in them.
They don't have the right to force truth upon that which is as yet unwilling to receive.

That an egocentric and assertive wilfulness attempts to make the Life in its image, is as true in the seeming lawless (non orthodox) as the seemingly lawful (official reality).

The law that holds unity must be held in people's true hearts but the laws that seek to control are an imposition upon the heart. They are the substitution for the heart's communication and wholeness by a mentality of possession and control.

To focus on the seeming conflict is the serve a deceptive mentality that plays both sides of every conflict. To focus on the true qualities of a unified wholeness - in a wholeheartedness - is to witness to that which is beneath and beyond even our best thinking, as our true Source and Nature.

That which seeks to lord it over Life - be that self or other or world, meets its own nothingness when its seeming power is suddenly gone. That which seeks to serve and hold life in honour is its own reward - and finds Itself in love shared.

Our attempts to make rules for love is an expression of lovelessness, of distrust, of a withholding of communication, and of a wish to cover a sense of personal invalidity with a seeming righteousness.

The laws that arise among us for the ordering of society and conducting of our affairs need to be renewed in our hearts - and to serve the truth of our hearts. In a world that crucifies or denies the heart's light, is also the breaking through of an awareness that is in the world but not of it.

The Christ -  message is eternal, but its expression in time is using what is in our mind (and our world) to teach the mind its true source and nature.

To make our identification (invest our heart) in self  and mutual definitions, held over and against differences by reaction, is to sleep in the mind that does not know the Life in and by which it lives and moves and has its being.

The quality of real relationship is the saving of the mind from its own illusion. The bridegroom comes when ye thinketh not - and not as your past learnings lead you to expect. The thinking of the world must yield to the Life in which it ignorantly but utterly depends. This is not a matter of time - but of willingness.

The undoing of guilt is the nature of the Light in which salvation is recognized. This cannot be undertaken by a self that is itself a strategy of the hiding of guilt. In every (moment of ) real relationship, trust is extended in place of the disposition and presumption of a separating and private self interest.

To feel denied in our love is a deep sense of disconnection from which a mind of confusion rises. A relationship is also a context in which this confusion rises to the surface awareness to be dissolved. To over control the symptoms is to deny the process of healing. There is always a need for true discernment, to remain free of 'falling asleep' in our concepts - especially if associated with a sense of self righteousness.

True marriage is before God, and in non God vocabulary could be said to be revealed and honoured in many as one. The forms things take do not make them real or unreal. But the witnessing of love is the underlying bedrock of sanity and culture. To seek validation is upside down, in a true love, we extend or share it to others.

The confusion of sex with intimacy is the confusion of form and spirit. Seek to be found in the Spirit or true purpose of life - and the forms will align (will be added). Not to fulfil a rights charter, but to further uncover the true nature of being.

We are (generally) afraid of true intimacy. This honesty would help us see clearer. Until then, confusion is used to hide in.

Lawlessness, fear and a greater Embrace

(This originally started out as a response to 'Why don't we riot more? on a BBC site. As ever, I look to the underpinnings rather than the effects themselves. There are negative cooperations in which we mitigate or dampen the liabilities of war and conflict that are strategies of self seeking by mutual agreement - yet without any actual joining of heart, any intimacy of life shared). Then there is an idea of law as emanating from an Innate and abiding Wholenes and Sanctity of life - such as the law of Moses - which is not simply utility - but to serve as a stability for a more conscious life in alignment with - rather than in opposition to - revealed truth. Not as revealed or determined by man - but as revealed in the heart of one who trusts beyond their own works or the experience of their own ideas reflected. Practice of such receptivity is spontaneous movement of life - and is not dependent on religious beliefs or concepts - which arise from such pure experience and yet tend to become substitute for realisation. As images that distract from what cannot be defined.

It might seem that the fear rules the world because, ‘getting’ and ‘getting away with and not ‘getting’ caught are secretly enshrined in the heart and mind of man. When getting by force of will meets overwhelming opposition, strategies arise in the mind and evolve - born of the wish to prevail at least temporarily - as a life against overwhelming forces that can not finally be overcome or resolved - except perhaps by death!

But the true Power of love embraces the world, despite all experience of a fearful & coercive self-seeking that blindly attacks its own Source & Self. Its Guidance discerns from a true Peace of wholeness, as the basis of law of sameness, (Golden Rule) and law of oneness (Love). True Law is held in the heart. Coercion undermines heart-trust & ever demands more 'control'. But such insanity calls for healing, not feeding.

I think you'll find, when you look closely, the only law that counts is not God-fearing-love but the law of the jungle. The first law, your golden rule, is eat or be eaten. Feed yourself or you will become food.
The weak have be gnawed to death. The fat will be eaten next.

Our thoughts are what we currently accept true for us. As we do accept, so do they program our perception and experience. Such fearful 'mind' as you indicate is to be uncovered - but it is a veneer of confusion that can be undone; healed, If you will. Apart from Love's reality, there can only be the mad scramble to 'get from' or avoid being deprived, even if civilly managed. Mind can deceive!



When life happens different than we expect, we seek to ‘regain control' by our thinking. But what IS to happen is NOT under our thinking-control, which reactively reenacts 'old tapes' BUT we can respond truly from a present discernment of life as it is. Everything in the ego-mind works to AVOID being still and simply knowing - such as to live out from a shared presence of life. A Prodigal waste!

Keeping the Peace

In a national mood of potential renewal, I invite not only police to be tangibly present in our neighbourhoods as officers on the beat - but to be encouraged to learn more of what keeping the peace actually means.

For the presence and demeanour that we demonstrate communicates atmospherically. Everyone is part of keeping the peace to the degree that we share a presence of acknowledgement and respect. But like anemones - we communicate fear or threat by being drawbridged and evasive.

In focusing on the mindset of looking for trouble(makers) - the role of 'fighting crime' substitutes for keeping the peace. This role needs to be activated when appropriate and deactivated when no longer needed. A mind alert and at rest - in connected relationship founded in a genuinely felt shared purpose - NOTICES - and shares much more than the mind engaged in predatory mode.

To the mentality that only considers symptoms, my words may seem irrelevant or whimsy - but sooner or later it will be realized that fear based actions raise the level of fear. This could be called the level of distrust and a fragmentation of society into private egos - often without a real sense of community or belonging.

Of course policemen and women are to use proportionate means to uphold the law - but the way in which this is done often tends to an institutionalized lack of respect or disregard for actual members of the public they are supposed to serve.

Alas in our 'terrorized state' - and with civil unrest increasingly likely - our policemen are more and more felt as agents of the state rather than protectors of the community with powers accorded them by the state.

Law and order is a symptom of true social health - and this is not something that the police can 'do' - but a culture of trust and communication can replace a culture of blame and exclusion.

Adversarial politics results in the pursuing of selfish interests at the expense of the common good. But selfishness need not be reinforced as the truth of human beings - even if the consumer economy 'insinuates' a 'getting' mentality as fulfilment.
There is ALWAYS a deeper level than the symptoms suggest - and this is not dealt with by budgets but by the courage that can only come from valuing the presence peace above one's own private sense of self interest.

The only time that such a cultural renewal can 'take' - is when there is `an opportunity such as we are in - when a sense of inspiration and hope opens a greater sense of possibility than the old programs.
