Seek you first?

The Daily Bell is a 'libertarian' investment news commentary site that attracts thoughtful or considered commentators - albeit with a tendency to blame the state for everything and identify in ideas about an ideal of freedom. This article questioned whether Trump is in fact a 'controlled opposition'. I may have written other comments in about Trump and power games - but in this I picked up on the last concluding summary of their 'advice' relative to such times as are painted so dramatically:

Quote:// Conclusion: Conserve your energy and husband your resources. Advance your personal goals and improve your professional
circumstances. Look to yourself first and the larger system second, if
at all.//

This at first seemed reasonable - even wise and kindly - but is it not the very predicate of the problem; the philosophy of elitism?

It can be read as "hold back on moving with or deny what moves you, and hold onto your private stash to use what profits you and gains power and privilege without regard for context or relationships - excepting they impinge on or support your private arena of power".

You may not intend such a meaning. I will now look at what I first took from it because of how and who I identify 'self'.

I know a lot of Americans (and others) use religious insight as weapon - but I invite looking at this phrase as a pointer that can be re-found in whatever terminology suits you.

"Seek you first the Kingdom of Heaven, and all things shall be added you".

This can be reduced to 'put first things first and all the rest follows'. Or simply 'get your priorities right'.

Obviously this phrase has not been used or appreciated in the meaning I accept or the world would be different than it is. The idea of a private authoritative and elitist self 'getting to heaven' or achieving enlightenment or Validation is deeply imprinted in human conditioning - regardless the symbols for fulfilment. It always ends in tears.

The idea of balance and alignment in Life is also one of healed communication and indeed communion; a FELT QUALITY of Being as the expanded CONTEXT of living a truly human existence. Without which is a flat or dimensionless struggle of obfuscation in which a sense of disconnect operates within a mind of judgement and control within its own narrative framing. A negative loop.

Because 'seeking' can be interpreted as if to find in some OTHER moment it may be worth using 'a willing desire to be found in' balance and alignment with what and who your truly are - rather than running as a 'self' presumption set by conditioning to think without feeling - in other words - to look only to its private thoughts and defend against or ignore anything that does not conform or fit.

I do believe we have to look to ourself first and release investment in 'systems' of thought that are not truly relational communication - though they may affect such a presentation. The capacity to Feel is the capacity to truly be with what is real- moment by moment - and we do not have such capacity within our own investments and identities as to what we define and determine real. And so we withhold or run from communication that threatens our sense of personal abiiity to control the narrative. AND the mind does this in ways it does not even notice.

It is telling to notice that your own definition of what is 'outside' or beyond self is called 'system'. For this is your world-reflecting as system of control rather than as relational communication. Yes there are systems of thought and behaviour that are part of our world experience - but beneath these are relationships. Perhaps messy, chaotic and out-of-control relationships! And is that not a large part of what power is sought to protect against? (within as without).

If we are out-of-true in ourself we meet that reflection everywhere - but having (all) learned to see what is wrong with everyone else - does such a world profit or indeed fulfil us? But if we first honour and align with what is true of us - we are then in a connected relational capacity to relate from strength and wholeness rather than distrust of mutually coded contract.
The fear of love - of real relationship - is the fear of sacrifice. Any love coming into this world meets the experience and demand for sacrifice - and forgets who it is for an adaptive mask.

The word "I" can be assigned anything within a range from a reactive subconscious reflex to the "I Am That I Am" of G-d. (If you regard the G-d term too degraded from misuse to use, just Feel the part within the double quotes).

Verbal mental concept and language itself is a set of derivative short-cuts that originally connected with direct experience that was substituted for by symbol, and basing our currency of thought on symbols of Life, is Life Itself made invisible - except to be enslaved and exploited by a worship of false thinking.

An Individual is integral to the Whole as an expression and extension OF Individuality and Indivisibility. Taking out of context is only possible in Concept - because you are as you are created to be and not as your thinking asserts you to be. However, you are free to prioritize your thinking over your relational communication - but you will then need to sell yourself for a power to deny Life and set you in in a narrative of justification - such that Life is seen as worthy of denial and denial as power to survive and prevail.

I'm not having a go at you Daily Bell. I am inviting a look at fundamental issues that can be seen to imprint themselves in every aspect of our lives. They are as hidden from our sight as any hidden power agenda - but in this arena we are free - are we not? - to open to communication.



footnote: The DB did not read this except to bracket it as 'pursuing 'spiritual' goals and fit it into their schemata of a private sense of personal determination. 'Freedom' can be defined to apply to its opposite - but that does not mean it has become what it is asserted to be.

Liberty without true joy is slavery in disguise

I read a bit of writing in the Daily Bell about personal liberty

Dangerous Words: 'I Believe in Freedom, But . . .'

I felt to reply using a quote from A Course in Miracles that exemplifies the confusion of freedom (in the mind of humankind):

The Last (end of) Judgement might be called a process of right evaluation. It simply means that finally all men will come to understand what is worthy and what is not. (What you put out is what you get back). After this their ability to choose can be directed reasonably. (Reason being sanity).

"Until this distinction is made, (Until Sanity dawns) the vacillations between free and imprisoned will cannot but continue. The first step toward (regaining awareness of innate) freedom, must entail the sorting out of the false from the true. This is a process of division only in the constructive sense, and reflects the true meaning of the Apocalypse". (The exposure and undoing of the coercive delusion in free willing choice) *

In simple terms free willingness is a lack of coercive intent operating in open awareness.

Imprisoned will or wilfulness, operates out of a coercive sense of the wish-belief that it is or can become free to operate from outside and upon relationships. That is is and can be an independent power unto itself without relational constraint or obligation. It thus imprisons itself by the opposing reactions that arise in opposition to the acts that express the identified wish. It further cements its identity by joining with others in endlessly shifting attempts to reinforce an agenda against the current sense of adversity or opposition - that it has become addicted to, as the justification of its use of power as coercive intent.

Back to the text of A Course in Miracles, from which I quoted above* (The brackets are my comment):

"Man will ultimately look upon his own creations and will to preserve only what is good. just as God Himself looked on what He had created and knew that it WAS Good " (God).

The liability of ANY system of ideas, rules, and even self imposed laws is of replacing relationship that requires actual presence, with a program that then operates and invites mindlessness - or lack of a present appreciation and awareness.

Along with that is the ideas that are magnified or implicitly built into the foundations of the system. Popularised and now outdated scientific expectations of coercing the mechanism of the biology to support and enable a persistent lack of responsibility (and proper regard for feedback to irresponsibility) of both a personal and collective nature.

We define ourselves into coercively oppressive experience by accepting and asserting what is not true of us…

But… if I really be who I am… it will result in [fearful and painful scenario].

The fearful definition justifies not only 'BUT' - it justifies the choices that perpetuate the 'devil we know' rather than choose what is - until we step through it - the 'unknown'.

Fear of the unknown is actually a negative projection which regardless of conditioning constitutes a CHOICE or decision.

To free oneself of fearful and coercive negativity, one may have to grow the new whilst persisting in the old. (Giving to Caesar whilst leaning into God - creative freedom of being who you really are).

This is similar to metamorphosis in that the new grows in the body while the old breaks down or is repurposed to the new.

There is no freedom but that one lives from it. Anything else is a pipe-dream that invalidates the present excepting insofar as it  is used to get somewhere else. While we are, where we are, we have freedom to see it from various perspectives, including spontaneous creative discoveries of the More of Life - of what we are. The search for freedom is generally the illusion that keeps the slave-mentality hidden, because there is no real appreciation of what it is apart from escaping the currently defined frying pan to jump into the fire.

Faustian pacts are the result of seeking PERSONAL freedom at the expense and exclusion of others. This is how 'shadow power' works - by appealing to a sense of self-specialness and superiority which it can also use to feed you to the mob.

True individuality is not exclusive to or identical with the personality or ego-self with its mentally self justifying cleverness. It is the truth of you in which you meet the truth of others and of the world that reflects you - in both individual AND collective, because Consciousness is not 'in' a separate mind in a separate body, but translates and extends through it.

Indivisibility extends from God to Soul to the Souls' expressions or creations. Oneness is operating as a complex and rich communication and reflection of the Many in the All. It is judgement that divides the indivisible so as to 'rule'. This 'divide and rule' is the lens of the belief in separation from our Soul freedom - the freedom to truly know and feel and share our being - as the ordinary condition of existence. This does not occur in the vacuum of isolated ego - but as everyone knows, nature abhors a vacuum! 

IT is always trying to get in - and IT is fear of loss, fear of inadequacy and humiliation, fear of pain, fear of guilt and punishment. Maybe dressed as the bill that you know you can't pay, the marriage you can't keep together, the person you can't stand to be with, the prognosis from the doctor…

Note that in the Zionic Protocol, the ideas of freedom are a principle weapon in breaking in to plunder and feed off the unmindful.

The nature of coercive power is that it gives a sense of self-power but without recognising one is in fact being used. This goes ALL the way up the pyramid. It is also called pride, arrogance and ignorance.

Fear-given power is fear, given power. Nothing good comes of it excepting the recognition that it is NOT you/worthy of you and so 'thank you but no thanks' leaves it in disregard.

Statism is a corrupted idea with… corporations warring against and feeding off populations via whatever opportunity available. The church of scientism is in bed with a cancerous state-veiled corporatocracy and the dark ages are back with vengeance.

But beneath all of that is… so what!

What is that for me to focus upon accept and live from? So there is a coercive intent in our mind that seems to run amok and induce us to sacrifice our freedom for a struggle that never ends. The first casualty of war is truth so that once entranced in the mindset, one cannot see anything truly. One doesn't have to make war to hold to one's integrity and give a true witness into a willingness to listen. We can't MAKE people listen, but we can create and support the conditions in which they are more likely to re-evaluate their choices.

We can MAKE people be healed, but we can embody the frequency and the conditions in which they allow their healing to occur.

The It that is trying to get in, is the You that was rejected in adopting an imposture. Healing is the natural movement of reintegration to a wholeness of relation and function that coercion is blind to.

Ha! I thought this would be a short one!

Fate, Freedom and Neuroscience?

The Watchers - had this video of a discussion on 'Fate, Freedom and Neuroscience'.
I appreciate that scientific discovery can serve a reawakening to the nature of consciousness - where such desire is moving - as it can serve the ever more subtle attempts to prevail over or coerce Life in our own image and concept of ourselves and our reality. It is not seen as coercive because it feels righteous and justified over and against 'self evident evils', but a blind materialism looks to the material world and its mentality for its cause and denies the Consciousness that is already active as its Source, Nature and actual Condition.



Free will includes freedom to accept self-definition that create the experience of life as a conditioned mechanism. It remains free throughout the experience - but is not believed available within the choice to self-limitation and so is not used - or rather is used to persist in choosing limitation.

One Always chooses to move toward pleasure and away from pain AS ONE"S BELIEF DEFINE IT.
In this sense believed definitions are the template level of consciousness and are generally INVISIBLE as the structure of consciousness/world through which we then experience a unique focus or life experience.
The personality construct is somewhat of a probe extending into physical experience that already has specific template parameters and which grows and adapts at the level of its own freedom - within the context of the template level themes.
The unified Self is such that all parts are in communication AS the totality of the experience, template definitions, feeling, thinking, and emotional and physical reinforcement.
The segregated self is such as believes itself autonomous at the personality level - and identifies exclusively with the thinking and emotions that reinforce the personality 'ego' or self concept.
Freedom at the Soul or being level is the freedom to be - while at the ego level is the freedom to do. But one can only choose as one's already accepted and active self-definitions have defined - and such action is the expression or manifestation of those largely unconscious choices which have both individual and collective facets.

It could be said that freedom is experience. Your experience is your freedom to define, and identify with your definition, reflected and reinforced.
One can change one's core beliefs - from within the focus of a lifetime, but no one can change what first they do not own and here is the acceptance of free will as the foundation of Consciousness Responsibility.
You are Existence Itself - with no way to EXPERIENCE your existence but through your free willingness to define and thus differentiate imaginatively as Subject, relative to the experience of object. This is the self/other-self polarity within Self that has no 'other'.
All experience is the reflection of facets of Infinity - also known as Creation.
The level of the segregated or disconnected ego is associated as self division, conflict and fear and as such runs as a kind of virtual layer of disconnected belief-experience, that operates as a distorting lens or filter upon the consciousness of All That Is.
The noticing and observation of such distortion, is the reawakening of the freedom to own one's choice as one's own instead of ascribing it to external circumstance. Now your wheels are back in touch with the road, you are free to choose anew.
The basis for choice is resonance and relevance to your primary desire or joy. If you no longer define joy in terms of prevailing over self-conflicted invalidation, you are free to be able to focus and extend your presence spontaneously instead of struggling within terms of coercion.

I've sketched this as an invitation to Consciousness Responsibility. The segregative self-sense invokes rationality to support its symbolic act of divorce and disconnection from Life - from Consciousness as the recognition of One in All and All in the One. Rationality is in this sense used as a substitute and replacement for intuitive discernment, although of course it relies on the original to have a seemingly autonomous exist, and so redefines and subverts all such 'messengers' within its own framework of meanings.
The reintegrative self-sense extends logically as congruency and resonance and is creatively engaged and participant in the movement of its being - rather than the distractions of its own thought.
The Idea 'God' can like any idea or symbol, be used in differing context of personal agenda to take on the meaning that such context dictates.
One Intimate and ecstatic meaning of the term 'God' is one's Source Consciousness and true presence. The One, is not coercive upon, for it knows Itself in All That Is.
The Nature of Consciousness is both Gift and creative extension. The extension of 'gifts' unlike your Source Nature could be called a 'mis-creative projection'. For the multiplying  abundance of debt, guilt, lack, conflict, disease and fearful attempt to re-brand all things in ever more complex and convoluted definitions is a learning failure; a system of depletion and collapse that reinforces the demand and attempt to command and control.
The mechanism is a device designed to serve Life-purpose. Uncovering the nature of the mechanism in merely material terms is the denial of Life-purpose. This must be realized as meaningless before it can be abandoned.
The mind has its own 'black ops', deceits and subterfuges. A segregative rationality is one of its favourite tools.

Responsibility for our thoughts - not blame!

I’ve just bumped into Consortium News (via the Bush/Bin Laden ‘symbiosis’ article and I appreciate its desire for honesty. This comment came into an article on 'who is to blame for Egypt's chaos) - but it is addressing our participation in a mentality as an extra step in our responsibility for our experience of our world.

This article uncovers some of what is going on but uses the headline ‘who’s to blame’. This mentality is part of the problem and not part of the answer.

I feel that the analysis of event in the world needs to be distilled to the mentality that is shared in one mind – albeit in different degrees and in different forms.

Only by identifying the mentality that we share within ourselves – can we ‘repent of’ or unsubscribe from it. Moral self righteousness over against the perceived (magnified or projected) ‘wrongs of the other’ or in a word ‘blame’.

The shift in perspective that comes automatically from disengaging blame leads not so much to a better analysis as to a clearer discernment. They are quite different, because an analysis breaks a thing into parts and decides, compares and weights according to a set of values or conditionings of one’s own self interest, but discernment opens an honesty that integrates and unifies to a Universal self-interest.

The goal, purpose, function or intent of our lives may not be ours to change (at the level of our sense of ourselves in the world) but it is a freedom as to how we get there.

When we lock into our own method as the only method, we make all else invalid to our sight. This is self-righteousness or ‘judgement’.

Awakening an addict to his or her addiction is not easy unless they have come to the end of their capacity to deny it. But such an education can be in all our communications.

Those who awaken to their insanity are defacto no longer completely insane. Sharing a willingness for regaining trust through a greater honesty invites renewal.

The basis upon which to live from is not covered by the past or denied by its extension into the future – but is a living presence of connectedness, relation or embrace – that CANNOT be substituted for with conceptual identifications and mutual definitions.

This comment may seem irrelevant to the particulars of the situation in Egypt – yet is relevant to every instance where a perceived conflict of interests leads to a breakdown of communication, and war of one kind or another.

Mechanical enforcement of a man in a mechanism

An article in the Telegraph on a growth of (a new generation of much more efficient) speed cameras:

Perhaps, this is a last moment before technology with GPS automatically enforces a maximum speed and all cars have to be fitted with it. And then it will drive the car - which wont be needed much because we'll all be plugged into a 'Matrix'-like existence that essentially medicates us with 'safe' pseudo experience; a managed 'reality'.

Meanwhile... the letter of the law can always be smugly and vociferously defended by the self-righteous.

The casting of the motorist as an easy and legitimate target to attack, tax or limit comes out of a 'health and safety' mentality that has grown disproportionately to functionality. It also comes out of the guilt mentality of the global warming consciousness in which the car is cast as a scapegoat.

The application of a tick box mentality that is supposed to 'fulfil' duty of care or protection. Being 'seen' to support targets that are the blinkers of self delusion.

An imposition of rule enforcement that is mechanically enforced without any process of relationship, education or communication.

All these things speak of a blindness of the heart; a lack of wisdom.

On the other side of the coin, an idolization of independent mobility as a purely personal freedom - as personified particularly in the car - is also an emotional blindness to that it is - or WAS - much more of a danger than so much else that gets blown up out of all proportion. (As manipulators of a feeble media love to do).

What is missing in our society, in this as in all else - is a true presence of a heartfelt relationship. This is diminished and enfeebled in almost every social context, and in its place a mechanical template runs that runs as a system without heart or soul.

To drive with due care and attention, relative to all the factors present in the external conditions, and the internal conditions, is not defined or supported by such blunt measures as speed limits - unless and except as they are intelligently set and proportionately enforced with discretion.

To make an ass of the law doesn't serve to grow respect for the law. To make a tyranny of being watched, tracked and punished for even small misdemeanours is something almost everyone can recognize in their workplace today as a manipulative guile by which trust and communication are replaced with being controlled.

Reaction and opinion are cheap and easy. Laws made out of such emotional partiality appeal to the surface realities of our mind without discerning what the issues really are.

If we want a culture of a generosity of spirit, an abundance of good will and imaginative and heartfelt vision for a world and a way of life that grows a true commonwealth rather than hollowing out to debt and depletion, then there has to be a sense of the context of everything and not just the forms it presents. What comes from a meanspirited and joyless mind can only grow such a mind. The attempt to control life is anathema to life.

And yes the attempt to make special exception of our personal self from the rules of the house by which unacceptable behaviour is met with limitation, education and rehabilitation.

How exactly, do human beings wake up to their true nature and relationships? We are not machines.
