Ultimately blame is simply an attempt to offset self hatred, but them becomes a kind of 'pass the parcel' game in which everyone seeks not to be the one on whom it lands, and the more one plays the game, the more currency blame seems to acquire by the fact of its usage.
The framework in which blame seems meaningful and useful, operates unquestioned, unconsciously, as if it were our self protected.
Blame is to true responsibility what punishment is to a genuine rehabilitation, that is, it substitutes for and undermines any true communication or outcome. Blame it is a feel-good ritual at the expense of truth - indulging a self righteous hate on a part at the expense of the whole.
We are not independently being, but we ARE cocreatively expressive of the life that is in us, and this is to say we share a mind - whether it be one mind in self-illusion or one mind in truly shared purpose. The attempt to serve two minds that are mutually exclusive of each other, is to perpetuate the 'human condition', of limitation, suffering and loss - as a mutual basis of all our experience. But there is another way of looking at everything than this, and another outcome follows.
The use of imposed or insinuated guilt as a leverage on behaviour is always a manipulation. Coercive intent is an expression of fear. It is not honouring, does not extend and grow trust and denies the living presence and worth of the targeted person or group by asserting the framework in which they are judged.
Love also knows how to say "No!" - and how to use proportionate force on behalf of the wellbeing of all. But to do so, it must be expressing a willingness for health and not a righteousness against a believed or percieved evil other.
To communicate truly is to allow to awareness all the perspectives and beliefs that are energetically present in willingness for honest relationship. Whenever we allow this, we experience a shift in the situation or relationship, that is more aware and more inclusive than what was operating before.
An honest relationship must be both within ourselves and with others. We are either congruent or playing a mask. We need each other's witness as we need to offer true witness to all. (Or we blindly believe our own presentations). The fear of real communication is of shameful exposure and rejection. It is also the belief that love is weak and has been, and will be, killed by fear. Yet both of these beliefs are fearful imaginings of loveless thought.
The idea that one can define and then control life has some merit at the stage of holding a point of reference amidst a fearful chaotic uncertainty, but that point of reference is not more than a stepping stone in which to access a greater perspective. The true dominion of the heart is not coercive, but it an expression of wholeness in all its parts.
A natural harmony of relations is never a result of coercion or dominion of one part over another, but of a shared purpose.When we are individually and collectively 'sharing' conflicting purposes, the parts seem to war. This is not a condition to be overcome but a condition of alarm in which to recognize we are out of true, and listen or recconnect to life at the heart.
None of what I write can translate meaningfully to a mind that sees itself as autonomous, independently authoritative and separate from life and each other. For such a mentality, wilfulness, fear, guilt, conflict and pain reflect back to the mind its own foundations - and justify the continued practices that give rise to their reoccurrence.
Wisdom is a matter of discernment, and this is a higher or more primary quality of the heart. A complexity of thinking is the natural ally of manipulative deception - whether within our own mind or in the world at large.
Honesty of being is not something that needs propping up as it is simply already true - and will extend itself naturally whenever conditions of exclusion are released of allegiance. Truth is not ours to judge but is ours to share.
An imaginative, wishful and deceptive intent is personally enacted and often socially supported, but has to be constantly maintained and protected from exposure - or it is undone of validity.
The mind of the self in its assertion of specialness, is a highly vigilant and capable defence mechanism. Though it seems to promise protection and fulfilment, it undermines peace of wholeness and hollows out our lives, our relationships and our world of the inherent Meaning, that has been called the 'Soul'.
When we think we see the mind of deception, division and attack in others, we become certain of our self against them or what they stand for. This is where we need vigilance for truth rather than against evil, for in this primary error do we cast out our own shadows upon the other in attempt to be free of a self hatred.
Self hatred is mistaken, no matter what circumstances are associated with its exposure in our mind. For our living self is not ours to make and groom, to a becoming of something greater or more worthy. Such is the imaginative play of self concept or self image. We can become willing expressions of witnessing to Life according to opportunities given us - and this embodies a transcendence of self-specialness.
When what we have cherished turns out to hurt us, do we not reevaluate Everything anew? Putting aside our own thought and all experience associated with it - to presently enquire with a fresh curiosity, finely tuned for truth?
Blame is always self harming. The sacrifice of life for the raising of an illusion to prominance is a temporary 'hit' of a sense of self vindication.
We each and all teach and learn by our own choice. In our social agreements as to what constitutes truth or life or the good, we find ourselves out of true, for the current situation is not designed or intended to fulfill our own definitions of reality.
Life in concept is no substitute for the Lived and the Living. Awakening at the heart is not describable to the mentality of control, but is altogether recognisable as it is, to its own.
Love's awareness is neither earned or deserved. Nor is it withheld or disallowed but our thinking makes it so. Judement and blame is a way of maintaining an illusion of control amidst a loveless intent.
For every action their is reaction.
But as the mind of reaction is left unused, it weakens from disregard.
The Movement of Wholeness is discerned only in active extension of trust. But this need only be an instant, in order to allow a shift of perspective and a step in which integrity of being is embodied.
To seek for the willingness and light in another instead of the blameworthy, is to undo one's own defence against love's awareness, now.

Girls as young as five 'forced into marriage'
The article (linked above) to which I commented (as below) is a blatant propaganda piece of titilation. When it suits, use those bits of truth or present those bits of truth in such a way as to support an agenda that has no basis in truth - that is - it is without integrity. The fears that fuel it are of a confusion that can be healed, if there is a willingness to release confusion as a way of hiding from truth.
Arranged marriage has been part of human culture for millennia. In traditional cultures we are a member and an expression of our clan and our tribe or culture and are not simply floating around in pick and mix egocentricity of surface desires. Along with cultural blindnesses or outmoded baggage is a wisdom and a way of being that held a culture not only of survival, but of a truly shared Life. This we (in a generalized sense of human society) have forgotten.
The globalisation of mass culture of a passive consumerism in which surface desires are stimulated and fed so as to dope the many into a compliance to the will of the very few, systematically undermines traditional culture - whether that is English or Hindu. It is a blind market that uses your desires to manipulate you.
The use of coercive force upon the will of another is illegitimate. We scream at it when it shows up to our blinkered vision and yet suffer to participate as victim and victimizer in all kinds of ways that are simply invisible or accepted.
A coercive will and a reactive will is part of a dance. To simply hate or fight against a perceived injustice doesn't address its true cause. The law can contain a means of protection and order against the excesses of behaviour but it itself is no substitute for a process of real communication.
In any cultural conflict of crisis is a deeper process of being exposed in our own cultural shortcomings - in other words we need to reconnect with the truth of the values that guide and inform our perception and our actions - and not merely be manipulated by a lip service that only allows truth in exceptions that suit us!
The nature of individual will is a great mystery - not that it cannot be experienced as an aspect of an Intimacy of Being - but that it does not yield to a coercive or controlling intent - but will present a defence or mask of adaption.
Be sure that all of us - of whatever age or culture, are clearly in the sights of that which would enforce its will as a means of exerting and maintaining power, and that the stirring up of emotional reaction is a way of distraction and deception.
Of course I pray that we find a better way than the use of force to share life on this planet - whether such force is expressed in crude or subtle scenarios of wilful ignorance.

There are no rules we can just make to substitute for 'feeling our way'. Listening and speaking in the heart is a guideline, but even so, it really is up to you and not the 'parent' forces.
To step outside the society that we have identified in is no small thing. But if one's integrity is being undermined, and communication is denied, then do not persist in allegiance, excepting to persist in the form as one's heart guides in taking steps OF integrity.
Wholeness of being is our gift to each other, to our world. But when we seek it from outside, we become trapped in loveless relation and in need of healing and renewal.
Love … an Innocent intimacy … is our essential Nature. It can be covered over by a world of conflicting desire, adulterated with wishful illusion and fearful attempts to control. We are all in this together - whether it feels like a forced marriage or not!
Here's to an awakening of the underlying truth that (step by step) heals - and the disregard of the machinations of hate and blame and judgement that merely conceal.

Worshipping (and getting lost in) image
The practice of using others (and Life), for one's private fantasy purposes is ubiquitous in every aspect of life and generally is socially invisible. It is a part of human consciousness that judges and plays out privately held meaning upon others, and the world, either in a mutual trade, or by coercion of a manipulative intent.
To give priority to fantasy over truth, is to disregard truth and to be out of true. This is the same as disregarding the heart in which a real relationship or communication extends the true or innate qualities of being into life. It is always a dissonant experience and any relief is alsways momentary. It is not at peace in itself except when emptied of desire - but desire is an expression of being alive, though the desire of addiction is to suppress or escape the conflicted meaninglessness of a life out of true, in thought and action.
To gain the world is to lose our Soul. This is simply self evident but not while the empty promise of the world is given priority. Stimulation is an attempted substitute for life that hollows out and reduces life to surface forms. This can be readily observed. The seeming freedom and hit of getting private satisfaction - even amidst consenting trade or contract is simply feeding an addictive nature that puts fulfillment in externals instead of abiding in a wholeness that gives itself wholly in love. In love we are undefended to our own being and so our being communicates itself wholly and without coercion. Love contains within itself the guidance to freely release what is not real and embrace the moment wholly. No image can be made of love and no rules can be made for love. This is what we forget.
Moralizing is a kind of attempt to control - and is also a fantasy practice in attempt to control with guilt. Guilt always undermines and blocks any true expression of life - but the insidious nature of hidden guilt means that it maintains a fantasy of freedom from guilt within the illusion of a private self will. This 'hidden' will is an act by which we seem to live separate and special - whether seeming to prevail or to be acted upon. The attempt to act this out without guilt is simply the fuelling of the fire. Guitlessness is not self-wilful, but is of an innocence of being. In all things we can learn to discern where we are coming from and so can see the nature of private thinking or fantasy at work in our own experience and evaluate its fruit. Until we see it, it runs as a mechanical identification with forms - and a dream of a life is allowed to usurp a true love.

Vampires found with iron rods through their hearts in Bulgaria
Belief in magic (remedy or spell) counters a fear of evil coming home. Burying the dead is also an internal matter, where forgiveness allows a selective memory to allow the memory of those we know to rest in our hearts. But unforgiveness leads to being haunted by the past.
Different cultures have different forms to their fears - but a true forgiveness releases the seed of fear and doesn't rely or appeal to magical beliefs and rituals (which confirm the fear as real in the mind of the practitioner).
Evil coming home to roost is an archetypal motif in human consciousness. Scapegoating is the essential 'magic' to cast out and kill the sins of our own mind without ever realizing they are and remain - where they originate.
The notion of the living dead is fleshed out in the vampire story, but just look around - and maybe in the mirror. There is much that passes as protective thinking that sucks the joy out of our lives.
To root it out and dissolve it in sunlight is possible - but the nature of fear will always tend to push it down and away until one is no longer able to pretend that this actually works.
The current fashion for the vampire genre in stories and films seems to appeal to that part of the mind that wants to feel legitimate in nullifying or killing - as well as encoding a sense of secret special identity for teens amidst 'normal people'. (Not that I have watched or studied these in any depth).
Consumer society is not quite the same as being blood-milked and mutated in nature - but it has a lot in common! (and also sucks the culture and resources out from our commonwealth and future generations for the suck of unquenchable surface appetites).
I always question the scapegoat - and look closer to home. If we didn't all subscribe to a vampiristic mentality (albeit hidden behind Darwinian or other theological justifications), those possessed by Corporate Power run amok would not find such a willing host.
Meet in a shared sense of value and not as hungry ghosts and even our economy would bloom. (though not while predicated on a scam).

The teaching of death by power
Teach only what you want to learn. Give only what you want to receive. For the nature of 'what goes forth and multiplies' is the thought - (and the deeds that express that thought) - that you accept as real for you. This does not make real, but does establish rules for what you allow into your mind as real - at least until you change your mind about your mind.
"Taking out" the enemy is an ancient archetypal script and embodies the denial of the possibility of communication. When both 'sides' of an apparent confilct see the 'enemy' as the 'other', they feel fully justified in their attack on and denial of, life - AND believe that they are allaying or limiting the power of death that their 'enemy' represents.
That 'death' may be literal in terms of physical assault - but is really a fear of loss of power. The apparent power to make and control reality ALWAYS brings fear (of loss) and guilt (of hidden and shameful deception - along with expectation of payback or vengeance.
While there are aspects to the surface event to be addressed, I feel always to feel for the deeper significances and so I offer this post to pause from reactivity or any kind of self righteous position, and consider opening the mind to a state of true communication, in which fear and guilt feelings are no longer alowed to be the triggers in the manipulation of our mind.
When justice is not seen to be done, just acts may be seen as unjust, while amidst the mesmeric allegiances triggerred by fear and guilt unjust - or evil acts - and their source intent - may be applauded and treasured in our hearts and homes.
Who is here to judge his brother? A moment of power over another by billion dollar tech or suicide mission? Or a process of true communication that is vigilant for the sanity of truth and against the false allure of a manipulative intent - and then on behalf of the health and sanity of all, including the 'judged'?
It doesn't matter ultimately what others seem to choose, for through our own choice will we see clearly or not at all. The capacity to see is not the legitimacy of judgement or power over another - but is the direct experience of discernment in a capacity to communicate and navigate the WHOLE situation, as an expression of a wholeness of mind. It is true that in this we give up our self-specialness and all the sacrifices offered to its altar.
Our experience of the world becomes a step by step guidance in releasing a madness of mind that we no longer hold dear or give allegiance to. Until then we clutch a divisive and conflicting falsehood, that cuckolds our true joy in life. None of what I say is really news. When enough loved ones or loved ways of sharing life are 'taken out' in the name of security, the foundations of such thinking will be realised to be utterly false. And then the mind of fear will insinuate itself in a new and rebranded mode of 'protection' to make sure it will never happen again. And so the notion of fear and control is accepted as if implicitly true and all evidences are collected or fabricated to support it and none other are allowed.
Divide and rule is applied at the level of one's own mind - as one's own wish. No matter how terrible the effects are of such a split, the truth remains true. To look for truth is to presume it lost. To determine or define it is to presume it yours to make. Truth is not 'taken out' by a lie - but the lie's persistence operates as a distraction device.
A game played very seriously works as a game to get identified within, but there is always the option of simply walking out of a bad movie. I don't mean self destructively, but a shift of allegiance from thought to the heart of true discernment.

The power to kill remotely, anywhere at anytime - under the aegis of 'war on terror'
Fear is not the basis of culture, nor the protector or guide to the renewal and upholding of that culture. But it would coerce our minds to believe it was.
Fear is taken advantage of and even directly triggered or fuelled by manipulative intent to control minds. It is very effective in seducing its wielders into a sense of having power - and using it to serve personal or private agendas.
To 'legitimize' assassination at will of anyone, anywhere by technological means is first introduced by the US, but will be implemented by other 'powers' as they get their supply of weapons systems. The use of such weapons illegitimizes the power that wields it by revealing the brute will at work, divorced from any kind of process of communication or appeal.
The only counter to technology of such capacities is transparency of information, and a process of communication that disarms deception by refusing to collude in it. At some point this may result in being branded a terroristor some equivalent 'status' and being dehumanized and 'processed' accordingly.
Fear is on both sides of every conflict and plays to keep the game of conflict/control going. But the real enemy is not where fear points to - but your own fearful thoughts believed true.
If politics has failed, it is only in its present forms - for human relationships and organizations have always been conflicted between communication and control. Whatever the world may seem to play out, we each are able to make peace within by choosing a true communication in which fears can be observed and dissolved - rather than hidden and allowed to 'control' in the dark.
The way to shake off evil influences is to become wholly harmless. This does not mean the removal of force from the range of our communication - but desisting from employing hate and fear as our intent amidst disguise of righteousness.
The change that is called for is in the hearts and minds of those who see the nature of the deception and recognize their own part in it.

Criminal acts require proportionate response. The 'war on terror' is really a war on Sanity itself. While each plays out their own part in an insanity, it seems to make reality support their own delusions.
There is an alternate to fighting the shadow of a hated aspect of our own mind, but not if one does not WANT to find it!

Fear is taken advantage of and even directly triggered or fuelled by manipulative intent to control minds. It is very effective in seducing its wielders into a sense of having power - and using it to serve personal or private agendas.
To 'legitimize' assassination at will of anyone, anywhere by technological means is first introduced by the US, but will be implemented by other 'powers' as they get their supply of weapons systems. The use of such weapons illegitimizes the power that wields it by revealing the brute will at work, divorced from any kind of process of communication or appeal.
The only counter to technology of such capacities is transparency of information, and a process of communication that disarms deception by refusing to collude in it. At some point this may result in being branded a terroristor some equivalent 'status' and being dehumanized and 'processed' accordingly.
Fear is on both sides of every conflict and plays to keep the game of conflict/control going. But the real enemy is not where fear points to - but your own fearful thoughts believed true.
If politics has failed, it is only in its present forms - for human relationships and organizations have always been conflicted between communication and control. Whatever the world may seem to play out, we each are able to make peace within by choosing a true communication in which fears can be observed and dissolved - rather than hidden and allowed to 'control' in the dark.
The way to shake off evil influences is to become wholly harmless. This does not mean the removal of force from the range of our communication - but desisting from employing hate and fear as our intent amidst disguise of righteousness.
The change that is called for is in the hearts and minds of those who see the nature of the deception and recognize their own part in it.

Children grow up addicted to online porn sites
There are degrees of porn - but the net is rampant with hard porn. It has gross aspects - and also absurd meaningless aspects. An emptying ritual. Somewhere in consciousness is an echo of paradise in sexual delight - and yet a sense of paradise lost or denied can lead to addictive attempts to cover over pain of lovelessness, of loneliness.
There is a curiosity in things that are taboo, but this can lead to look again, and again - if you have nothing better to do.
Use of bodies and images of bodies to enact private fantasies is not thought to be hazardous and saturates society on many levels, and is encouraged and even considered healthy in some contexts.
But those who discern its hazard are those who are in a truly loving relationship, because love overlooks form, and yet shares paradise.

Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of the world wide web, has thankfully managed to articulate the real worries of the regular web user about the Government's plans to snoop on our every email, writes Emma Barnett. (Link in the title above to the article)
It could be seen as obvious, that the attempt to coercively control (others, life, or oneself), leads directly to a sense of polarized conflict and reflects a breakdown of trust and communication. Instead of trying to control chaos in a way that feeds it, we need to calm down and listen with a greater honesty than our separate self interest would allow.
The model of life that is generally called on as a guide is foolish in presuming independent powers that dominate or lord it over other subdued lesser powers. This is NOT the way life works - but is the reflection of the fantasy of being such a power. You can have your moment! - as everyone knows - but then you meet your invincible defeat.
The Net in its largest sense, is our mind extending. We can see in the extremely rapid unfolding of the Net, not only the prevailing programs or purposes already running in our collective mind - but the way such act 'creates' its own structures thereby.
The issues of integrity and trust are absolutely fundamental to Everything - including the Net. We can seem to partly justify our way around them by playing out fantasy personas of authority, respectability or resistance but function itself is distorted and disrupted thereby.
Now it might be said that an experiment cannot fail, because the result is true, (if not our interpretation). but does the attempt to control life as an alien adversary need to be taken to its limits to prove a point that can be recognized at any moment during the (endlessly repeating) experiment?
There has to be another and a better way - and it is my input here to communicate that there is - WHEN there is a genuine willingness to find it. Meanwhile a war of conflicting wishes rages in all its absurd and tragic consequence.
Though on surface it is a sort of 'Boy's own story', Tolkien's LOTR is prophetic. The will to power is the way of losing the true source of all authority; integrity. However, it can only be covered over - because we did not make it. It is a read only file. We are each working from a local copy.
True privacy is freely Given. Honour is not the gift of those who hate and fear themselves. The model of kill or be killed is not only a deception, it is destructive to the very basis of trust. Now it may be that the willingness to live and speak the heart directly gets you persecuted in a world that refuses to allow its defences to be undermined - but when this is lived - it is not fearful but a relief to be out from fear, and out of control - yet rested in a deeper trust that knows its way as the moment unfolds.

Norway's dignity in the aftermath of Breivik
To look at the capacity of the human mind to delude itself with assertions, identifications, beliefs and justifications, could be a real opportunity for us all.
Our usual 'defence' is to vilify that in others which we hate and exclude from ourselves - and so we do not allow ourselves to see the way our own minds work and nor do we become free of the patterns of identification with thoughts, beliefs and stories that make our own life denying habitual mindsets.
A lot of life denying habit is socially normalized and doesn't attract interest or attention. But it still exacts its cost.
Breivik's acts are shocking in that he acted out fantasies that are not altogether uncommon in the opinionated and alienated, who are fearfully attracted to hate as a way of joining against what they fear.
Life denying habits of mind result in actions proceeding from that mind. If enough people start to feel mutually justified in their delusional projections, they become an atmosphere from which a 'hero' or leader will arise.
The mind of hateful opinion is an energetic that does not care what side it is on or what issues it transmits itself through. It uses any host that subscribes to it and hollows it out and sets it against itself and its fellows.
To look at such within ourselves and not subscribe to its agenda, is to free our minds of fear, and to regain a natural capacity for timely and proportionate relationship and action.
That is, to be restored to a sanity that we did not realize we had lost, because we were so sure that we already knew what was real, that we didn't really check in and find out. (Delusion).
I commend the Norwegian's willingness to defend their culture by living its demonstration.
The restatement and renewal of cultural values via their tangible demonstration is the true protection against the mentality that would use the mere lip service to our values to serve their own private personal or corporate agendas.
Cultural Renewal is an expression of a fresh connectedness with the source of ideas and values that tangibly reflect or express our true nature in ways that fit our times. This is more than maintaining order; it is uncovering and sharing the basis from which order is freely embraced, rather than merely imposed upon.
When Breivik wakes up to his mistake, he will hate himself - or rather, his self hatred will surface as a core component of what he believes he is. If he then repents of loving to hate, he will suddenly find a fresh basis and purpose present in place of a terrorized mind, set to face always away from its own fear in acting out a masked fantasy self.
For now, he offers a demonstration of the nature of delusion in tragic consequence.
Evil is not the lie - but the commitment to the lie at the expense of truth. Be conscious as to what you invest in, by discerning in the heart. Without the heart, ideas run wild and recreate themselves in their own image.

Fear, scarcity, hysteria and the breakdown of communication
From public reaction and from these comments it would appear to be a very inflammable subject.
BLAME - of any kind - is antithetical to true vision and hence truly helpful outcomes - because blame is presumed already currency to be GOT RID OF onto others or your humiliation invalidates you.
We are collectively ADDICTED to external 'powers' and the illusion of authority they confer in a Faustian pact that hollows out our life to live out a lie that will OUT as sure as eggs is eggs.
The 'outing of the lie' is not the blame game - but the result of a true humility - that is - from a true accounting of our thoughts and values - and the world and culture that they create.
The natural reserves of this planet have been Prodigally wasted, because we forget the WHY and the WHAT FOR of our very lives - of our Conscious Being. It appears we DON'T WANT to be in touch with our Being - but would prefer the sport of a seemingly rebellious independence of mind that USES everything for its own ends.
Tweedledee and 'Dum AGREE to have a battle - for that is how fear distracts and blinds us from seeing more intimately, that which we are afraid to see.
It is never too late for Truth!
Scarcity is caused by fear's distortion and resulting imbalance. WHENCE COMES the deeper TRUST by which fear is dissolved? From a greater HONESTY. This is the real connection that is being threatened - not in Truth - but in our minds and resulting communications.
Blame gaming is the antithesis of a truly embraced responsibility. THIS is where the real toxic debt lies; guilt and fear.
As usual I have fallen through the surface to speak of what is always hidden by the surfaces. Fair and just relations are not the result of social engineering apart from the basic rules of holding our House in order.
The precariousness of our human situation beggars belief, yet there is always one step that can be taken in good heart - even if it is simply to refuse the perspective of a lie and be open to something greater than our own thinking.
I sense the Universe is Abundant in ways we have not recognised - and will not recognize - whilst asserting a private independent self sense UPON Life, and acting out-from the script that always comes from such a foundation.

It is the nature of every heart to love truth, but the mind that wants to play its own game has to 'kill' the heart to seem to exist.
I was watching a pheasant eat at my bird feeder just minutes ago. Incredibly beautiful to simply be with, quite apart from the associations of them being incredibly stupid - perhaps due to being bred to be killed for sport.
A year or so ago I saw two male pigeons fighting in the way pheasants do - jumping up and down and having at each other. Only they were on a road and their engagement made them oblivious to the oncoming transit van. They gifted the world a momentary explosion of feathers - and marked a lesson in my heart.
There is so little sense in human communications because everyone winds their neck in. This makes them fearful and suspicious and unloving in their own perceptions - which easily become the 'reality' of which we share out from.
Despite appearances to the contrary, I feel there Is a movement within our hearts that (beneath the radar of the mind) is attracting a collective attention, and those who are willing, begin to question what they thought they KNEW. And those who insist on dreaming will do anything and everything to maintain distraction. But will have to do it unmasked of its glamour - and so it will disintegrate of any claim to true authority or allegiance.
I find both willingness and resistance in myself - and am learning to choose one and let the other go.
Who casts the first or any other stone must then duck, hide and lie. Unless of course they relinquish the temptation to be used by fear.
If now isn't a good time to break siege - when will now be different?
At times of fear coming to the surface - all kinds of stuff is triggered. If there is a real willingness to learn - these are ideal conditions. Perhaps I should have said 'consciously unlearn'.
There must be a better way - AND, I want to share in a willingness to be found in it - not by thinking - but by not thinking.

Ownership and control of Information (Google's search overhaul)
(I feel the issues around search technology go far deeper than is generally discussed or acknowledged and so I comment at that level)
Communication is generally blocked or distorted by application of bias towards manipulating that process for private gain.
This inevitably leads to a war of competition and of armouring or workaround against such tactics, and escalates such that sharing information of integrity is lost.
When rules are made, they never lead to the expected or intended result because the mind that makes its own rules looks for ways to exploit them for its own end.
Integrity of information and intent is increasingly scarce amidst a flood of information designed to simply catch clicks in order to garner adword revenue.
That there is a reciprocal arrangement in which everyone wins ought to be the nature of transaction. Google succeeded by offering minimal distraction to searchers and also of generally offering a fast service that quickly led to finding what was sought.
In becoming by far the most used search service, they also command a vast advertising revenue as the place to advertize via - as well as an almost monopolistic power within which those who desire to be found by those who would benefit from finding them, have to work.
The movement is to personalizing our profile, such that our mind will be read via our history of usage and catered for. If such a path is being taken, I feel we should have transparency - and the capacity to edit or delete our usage profile. Divide and rule is the nature of the breakdown of trust and therefore communication.
"Do no evil" is not about fitting into the filters of what anyone thinks is good or bad - but of aligning only with that which honours an integrity of wholeness. Deception, coercion and manipulation are normal aspects of politics, business and social transaction, but only insofar as we choose to act our such intent.
Tolkien may have been prophetic in the story of the 'one ring to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them' - because technology is seeming to offer such an opportunity to the (fearful) mind that wants such control.
Perhaps the direct evidence of such attempt to enslave, is triggering an awakening. First to that which was no longer trustworthy or meaningful to engage in or with - and secondly to the basis from which a true sanity of being can arise and know its own.
Free will is not a divine right to use all things for selfish ends - but is the capacity to realize the suffering or dysfunction we experience is a reflection of choices we are making and can therefore desist from validating.
Worldly power can seem to impose itself, but it does not have to be validated in our hearts and minds. Insofar as we are tempted to wield it, we need to tune in to a deeper sense of aliveness than reactive self interest, if we want to grow the Peace in place of feeding war.

Sir Jonathan Ive: Interview
There are a lot of important points here that transcend the particulars of Jony or Apple.
To uncover or discern an inspirational movement - no matter how fragile it may seem 'in the world', and to hold faith and focus with it - is to allow ourselves to be guided from what otherwise could be summarized as a faithlessness or blind template approach to life.
I also had a really strong sense of the makers of the Mac when I first used it - as a tangible relationship. This 'should' be the natural or normal 'sharing' of culture, for we are in what we make and do. But when we make without any real relationship, our making and doing is devoid of 'soul' - even if it still functions on the level of base utility.
What we need is to re awaken to the need to GIVE of ourselves truly in what we make and do. This is the key to an innate happiness and harmony of being because it is in an expression of Value - that we share value - whereas in the attempt to GET something without Giving our all, is the cheapening of ourselves to fall asleep in disconnected appetites.
There is nothing sacrificial about doing what you love and loving what you do - but there is everything sacrificial in following and identifying with an old thinking that effectively disqualifies bringing full attention present now - and living out from a sense of shared worth in shared life.
To uncover true worth is to remember the true basis for culture. Value cannot be defined and then have definitions substitute for the actual passion and presence of living.
A bankruptcy of culture is simply a collective willingness to be stuck in definition. The guidance and inspiration that is Life, has to be discerned and nurtured. We each have individualised paths - but the principle is Universal - and when that is given embodiment, it speaks at a level below the radar of the mind-in-definition. One could say that Life knows itself through embodiment - and we can feel it as qualities of an integrity or harmony of form and function.
Implicate design is uncoverable as an expression of essence in relational wholeness. The reduction of essence to defined forms of design elements is the blindness of the wish to make all things validate our own image; a prodigal waste.
But what gets covered over or discarded remains un-coverable to an honesty of desire. Apple operates within a market based on manipulation of fear and lust. There is always room for improvement - for going out beyond the definitions that make hidden but inherent contradictions which result in dis-integration of purpose and value-stripping in place of value-sharing.

There is always room for improvement - for going out beyond the definitions that make hidden but inherent contradictions which result in dis-integration of purpose and value-stripping in place of value-sharing.
