(To a comment that decries ungrounded wishful thinking and does not see causal linkage beween consciousness and universe).
For sure we all have to own and watch the desire to find what we want to be true.
My own sense is that what we might here call 'consciousness' IS the collapse - not in a linear time space sense of cause and effect but that the Event itself is an Expression of a Singularity.
We humanly do not see it like that, but tend to 'see a fragmented universe of forces outside our mind that is itself already a definition from which the sense of a psychological I-thought arises. Much of our perception is a validator of this I-thought. You might call that survival - but you are not the I-thought, nor the experience its thought defines - but are inherently one with Whatever Awareness Is. Now you can personalize this and say my awareness or human awareness - but its inexplicable Mystery is not only In Your Face Always - but is the True and Unified Living Context - of Everything.
The programs running that effectively result in an end-user human experience are multilayered and complex, and they are truly the feedback of the Living Universe to Itself - and not consumer-fare of an imaginary end user who believes his life is in some way separated and autonomous. However, the Unified Experience Is fulfilling in a transcendental sense - for the Living Universe embodies what in our highest sense we call love. But the perception of a loveless consciousness can only 'see' in terms of of exclusion.

You are presuming reality to be external to you. Which is both a definition and an interpretive mechanism.
If you're ok to consider this, look at 'There is no God but God', 'Make no image (definition) of God or any living thing', as principles of Mind. (Nothing to do with external believed Deity).
Substitute Mind for god if you like. The 'define, divide and rule' mentality is a causative lens via which a polarized experience is called forth.
There is nothing so awesome or so potentially terrifying as the power of Mind - the perspective of self-will DEMANDS that the mind be made tiny and weak - or it fears to be undone to nothingness by the Power that it now sees in its own image.
To actually reopen the basic tenets of Reality to question in any cultural sense is not to rebrand old thinking in hopeful ways - but to become the scientists of our own mind, experience and relationship. Terms can me misleading, so consciousness - as a a focus and act of desire and attention is usually not what I would call Mind - but a process within Mind. But essentially 'human mind' makes the world in its own image and overlays this upon the Indivisible. To the Unified Perspective, everything both is part and whole and so is clearly defined in its inherent interrelatedness without the sense of fixed separateness that human definition assert.

Absolutely true. Be humbled of notions of personally owning or controlling Life the Universe or Anyything. From such a perspective you will attend differently, and may even come to open at a deeper level of anything you dreamed existed in your being, in such wise that you experience a singularity of Event that - not only blows away all the theories or symptoms that express an orphaned consciousness - but also awakens or restores a true appreciation of the Indivisibility of Being. The reintroduction of Mind or Consciousness as a True Environment or Unified Context - cannot be in any way equated with the human identity construct that it generally equates with mind. So I value that you made your point.
The 'mind' or mentality of wishful thinking is a lawless and disconnected imagination. and is a divorce of 'mentality' from any felt or discerned context. But a true appreciation of awareness is of a feeling being and not a disconnected thinking that then seeks command and control so as to prevail. So while seconding your point I also invite a greater willingness to uncover more of the true nature of what awareness is and what the objects of awareness are. I don't see this as an anatomy class - but as a willingness to be inspired from sources currently unmapped.

Human mind is a construct - occurring _within_ what may be referenced as 'Mind, Awareness, Being or God' - (But can never be objectified but only intuited through Effects).
There is no need to look outside or go anywhere to directly enquire of the nature of awareness. All that is required is to still the chattering thinking mind and release the desire to assert a private authoritative power or will upon the Current Movement of Being. In the absence of such, there is no dualistic or divided nature, nor reflected experience arising that validates such a split. Moreover, the mechanics of the construct of the separate self sense are no longer 'hidden' by being looked out from and through. To try and think this journey is simply an extension of the activity of thinking. Real thought is an expression of true enquiry and revelation. The wave is the heart's desire and the thoughts are the carriers. Always discern the true desire in the silence or truth of your being. Then do your science or whatever as a connected expression of Universal Will.

The movement I feel, is uncovering a scientific

­ally acceptable vocabulary in service of the Heart; of A Unified Being. Rather than to further deny and undermine the discernmen­t and intuition of Unified Life - so as to 'create' an increasing­ly manually manipulate­d yet meaningles­s 'reality'.
Meaning is irrelevant to science except as inferences derived of its own thinking process. But Meaning is Unified Field.
The now of a measuring or analysing observatio­n is never actually present as Presence Itself - though behind the scenes even illusion depends on being an illusion Of Something Real.
One can only participat­e in - (and as) - Presence. But Presence does carry within itself the feeling of being - a self-aware­ness that is not manipulati­ng or objectifyi­ng - but 'knows' itself.
When self in it's own image 'knows itself', it is narcissist­ic - even in its apparently social aspect it is simply self regard. When Life or Living Universe Knows Itself through you - there is a universal appreciati­on and not any kind of enhanced socio-pers­onal status whatsoever­. Hence Reality is effectivel­y invisible from within the perspectiv­e of a separative self regard. Yet Always and Already available as the Movement of Being That Is living you - in it's wholeness - Prior to the thinking filtering overlay of self definition­.

To attempt to communicate to a presumed separate mind is to channel new wine to old structures that are already predicated to interpret all things from a flawed predication.
But the structural integrity of such separate self sense weakens with the advent of a dawning awareness that initially rises 'beneath the radar' of otherwise immaculate defences, and the mind of past experience is willingly put aside in order that fresh perspective arises.
That awareness can 'trap itself' in its own thought/beliefs has to be the most comic and tragic of abilities - depending on the active perspective. I feel its time to wake up to a greater perspective than limited thought and with that will come a transformed appreciation of not just the observable or tangible Universe - but of the inherent Meaning that is its True Expression. It is the context that shifts.
This is of course beyond belief - and that is why belief has to be at least suspended. The process is generally a shift over moments of time. Just don't think. But watch and be active as desire for truth.

What effect has the internet had on our sex lives?

Engaging in private self gratifications that use the forms or images of others as objects of fantasy is hardly a real relationship - even between consenting adults.
Sex without relationship is a bit like asset stripping. It seems alluring but hollows out the forms that could communicate life and love.
The real taboo in our society is intimacy whether sexual or on any other level.
Lack of intimacy is a disconnected, alienated sense of a self that leads to a search for substitutes of stimulation - as well as fantasy role play.
We long for a truly intimate sense of being - and yet look for it as if it could be 'added to our self' rather than opened up within our relationships with each other.
It isn't that I care to demonise the creative discovery of sexual communication - whose scope far exceeds the narrow approach of either stress release or fantasy.
But loveless habits of intention and attention, grown in the mind and enacted in the body can become deeply obstructive to the true sharing of defenceless trust in an innocence of being that delights in sharing and being the very life that moves us.
The internet - in part - is revealing the so called 'private mind'. The great thing about becoming aware of our mind, is that we can wake up to that we indulge self destructive thought - and uncover a willingness to let it go.
I'm not on a moral crusade here. I am saying that there is so much more to life than anything that the market seeks to induce you to consume and that market driven society has a vested interest in shaping your thought so that you can believe you a free independent person searching for and gaining happiness in a world that is here to fulfil your private gratifications.
The internet can offer an extra level of virtual reality to that already being acted out in a fantasy life. New ways to be distracted and new ways to access things in a couple of clicks that indulge an often otherwise forbidden experience - in fantasy.
Well I've little doubt that many folk meet up and take it another step and maybe they find someone who really cares for them - and maybe they don't care for anyone else excepting to get a hit off them. A lot of what comes to us in life is found because we are open to finding it.
If you get sick of yourself or your life - you might become open to listening deeper than the thinking that gets you sick. Real nakedness is a defenceless loving welcome. To give and to receive true welcome is NOT coercive, manipulative nor strategically motivated - it is loving. It's straight and its in the light of honesty.
The internet can also be used to communicate - like this. I really enjoy seeing happy people - rather than fearful, downcast or joyless people. So you are right - I have a vested interest here. Joy is your heart's freedom song. You're worth it - because they are. Thanks for your attention.

Easing pain for burns victims using virtual reality

Yes! The power of attention in 'creating' the nature of our experience. There are those who can consciously focus their attention or rest their attention to a state of peace amidst apparent conflict. This is generally not available to an untrained mind excepting in emergency or as a graceful presence that guides and aligns to a single focus. Human reality is constructed. Jesus taught these things.

Philosophy as Inspiration

Philosophy is an activity of human thinking that can be inspired by intuitive realisation - but can also deal in derivative meanings that are not true - but are in some way appealing to the personal sense  - to our sense of self as an independent authoritative presence in its own right.

It is quite possible to deal in 'truths' while not knowing and sharing them truly, and in this sense seek to use truths to 'add to my self' rather than subjugate and align the sense of self with revealed truth.

Philosophers can - and do - argue about 'what is truth?' - but if their appetite for being right or self-validation is released in favour of truly desiring to know - then truth will no longer be obscured to their own awareness by their own self-assertion - and in reading philosophy as much as in taking a walk, they will be able to discern and be receptive to, inspiration.

The notion of engaging in activity of thinking in order to arrive at truth is absurd. Yet in the earnest attempt engaged fully, we can experientially come to the limits of thought - and so also release the limited and open to a perspective that a thought-based identity cannot know.

But such awakened 'perspective' in its experiential and unified sense, can of course be then clothed in thought and presented in a currency that serves the need of the times. Not so much the time in which it appears - as the times that it lays foundation for.

The story of humanity can be seen at the level of idea - in which persons are mere agencies of idea and not as some Promethean hero dealing stolen goods as good stuff. And we can see that our world is experienced and lived out in the terms of the ideas of the times - that are of individual expression finding shared acceptance. But truth itself is not a matter of consensus. Truth is not a grey meaningless existence in which to treasure crumbs of comfort.

I feel that the uncovering of the nature of Mind in which such idea arises is nigh. Not least because there is a great need for fresh inspiration to free us of the traps of our thinking - and of the experience that such thinking gives rise to. There's not much room for manoeuvre amidst the insanely complex world We created - let alone joy in being alive - and sharing it!

"I think, therefore I am" is  considered a foundation. But it is easily misinterpreted as "I, the doer am proven to exist by my power of doing". But is this not simply expressing a wish-idea to interpret the arising of an idea in awareness in terms of a capacity to act independently from the Field of Awareness Itself. In other words is it not of the very same apple from which comes a seeming capacity to judge all things good or ill - according to a personal power of will?

Truth is that we cannot in any True sense be independent from the Field of Awareness in which and of which everything arises. Not even for an instant. But who wants to spoil the game when its in the midst of play? Free will is the capacity to accept willingly but tolerance for pain is limited, and so initiates enquiry from which health and renewal springs.

Yet when a fundamental meaninglessness rises to our awareness, we can NOT engage the game of life on old terms AND find it works or holds currency any more - and needs must regain a direct connectness with a true inspiration and value rather than rebranding or recycling the same old same old in desperate attempt to maintain our presentations of validity and of being respectable and capable in our own right.

So I have blown a trumpet here to offer a framework that says YES! to philosophy as Inspiration and invites disregard to the practice of thinking about thinking in order to think some more.

A Climate of Denial

      I feel a much more immediate and real danger from the fear driven agenda of that which is using the predictions and theories of man made climate change – than from the changing climate. And of course the same mentality can work in opposition.

      I'm more open to suffering potential climate related conditions than to living now under fear driven human tyranny and I feel the hysterical and coercive nature of the mind has to be recognized for what it is – a means of distraction. A distraction from what is truly present and becoming visible, because it is perceived or believed to be threatening or fearful to private self interest.

      Beneath the 'Foxy Loxy' power and profit and 'identity' validation 'opportunities' that are scarcely concealed behind the mask of alarm and ˜concern,' are deeper issues at work.

      Of the scientific disciplines that could shed light, perhaps psychology may be the most helpful. The mind uses denial routinely as part of its function – and yet there are much more deep seated and pervasive denial mechanisms operating than what come to the surface in such things as our climate change 'conflict'. But that which asserts itself coercively and exclusively should be denied acceptance or validity if it arises from taking thought. For wisdom is not mere reaction or even considered strategy to deal with a presumed problem but is a discernment in the listening of the heart that arrives at a context or perspective from which to live out from.

      Science, as a human expression, evolves, and hopefully, shall be integrated into a more unified approach to, and expression of, life, and to an awakening to some understanding of the true nature of Mind – as pre existing non local or universal Field. Not some external God – but the very nature and condition and source of all that we call the Universe – including the processes we call life. Because in a very real sense we have our map upside down and inside out – as was the presumption of an earth-centric universe.

      Who for a moment believes that a truly universal good will is active in the world at the level of human consciousness in general – including scientists, politicians and businessmen? However such is our potential to be realized as we allow a true honesty to reveal the self delusory and self destructive nature of an exclusive and coercive private self interest, in our own mind – and world.

      Such self concept is firstly at war with – and in denial of – the truth of its own intimate nature – of its interrelated inherence in and as expression of The Universal Mind or be-ing in which it Actually Is, and from which it differentiates itself by taking thought for itself – thus experiencing Reality differently- as unrelated fragmented and dissociated parts – that it defines and seeks to relate so as to validate itself. In effect seeking to define and control reality through division.
      Science at heart is enquiry, in willingness and desire to know or discover truth. But it only allows itself to look 'outside' - and disregards subjectivity excepting it can formulate it as objects of data. Yet the apparent dichotomy of subjective and objective is man made. The experience of a world arising that happens to an observing self is an interpretation occurring within awareness – and the self concept is a suggestion or idea from which we may ‘explore’ a world-experience through a glass darkly. Now Something is Arising to Awareness – but there is no actual way of separating out from this to make a true object of that which is transcendent of the process of thought. In fact the persistent attempt to do so cuts off the heart or unified sense of be-ing – and results in a split mind whose conflict – acted out – perpetuates the denial of the heart.

      When we do not operate from fear a natural generosity seeks expression.
      I see climate change as a time of fundamental change – yet I primarily locate that change in Consciousness. I use a capital C because what we call human consciousness is largely unconscious or programmed. To be conscious is not 'to think'. To be conscious is to behold presently. Simple observation reveals that taking thought for oneself effectively obscures, distorts and filters the tangible presence of life and awareness now.

      The symbol of a hostile world is active at the very root of our psyche and its reenactment as part of our sense of exclusion, disconnection and separateness extends back through our mind before possibility of recall. I am suggesting that we stay in the way of an impending harm – but that the capacity to discern is innate as part of an original awareness of being – and can be uncovered.

      The capacity to discern the pathways amidst apparent danger is of freedom from fearful imagination and a capacity to bring attention totally present. This is not premptive defence – but a capacity to trust and listen wholeheartedly for what is needed – and to live out from each moment in that trust. As humans we like to insulate our mind from reality because it is felt as a Call or need that it cannot tolerate – AND keep the privacy of mind that we treasure as our personal life. The good news is that releasing the intent and attempt to control life does not result in chaos – but in the restored capacity to discern, intuit and feel. To be as it were a direct expression of a living universe whose nature is shared or inclusive rather than witheld and exclusive.

How words get the message across

The mind that acts out as if it is separate from itself in order to make of its self an object will develop its own languages that assert assumed meanings about itself but from a false pretext. "I think therefore I am". A whole world can be predicated on such an 'I' even though there is absolutely no direct experience of such an entity. Seriously, where is it?

The ‘language’ of true intimacy is life itself; un-interpreted or modified and directly felt and shared. When we are identified with a seeming capacity to be independent powers unto our selves we necessarily shun such Intimacy or at least modify it to such manageable moments as 'normal service' can be quickly resumed from. The mind can be used to limit communication.

To regard information  or data as communication is to forget that data is a carrier of a contextual instance - because it is given and received in mind - and the context of mind is either a willingness for intimacy or truly shared purpose - or the obfuscation of such in order to play out a sense of self exceptionalism.

My own sense of language and meaning has been an experiential education. For when I sought for meaning outside the true context of Intimate Life - I acquired 'concepts, ideas and meanings' and associated and related them together in ways that constituted 'my' current understanding or handle on the world. But when I abandoned such a futility, the meaning of life became less obfuscated to a unified mind - and such currents of insight or intuited knowings found clothes from precisely the structures of ability that I had grown as an ability to articulate. This is much more a listening and trusting relationship than a formulation of ideas - and of course its underlying nature or intent - is to share of the same simple Intimacy of being that is free of the man-made attempt to make or master Reality. Even a 'reality' of our own definitions.
The attempt to reverse engineer the most crude and reducible common elements of our world is like wandering in the mind with the light off, using a pencil torch - and then trying to reconstitute models of 'how it works' or 'what it means'  - from a mechanism of delivery that is itself a communication device and not in itself otherwise meaningful.

Hmmm... quite a few longish words here. Probably no meaning at all to a mind that is still trying to get a handle on life so as to turn it to serve a privately personal sense. But I am communicating as I feel moved to do - from a sense of a communioned life. That I feel addresses the fundamental presumptions from which the human mind tends to operate like a programmed robot rather than an expression of intimacy.

Judas - symbol for a mind in love's denial lost to a lust for directing hate?

I have no sense that Jesus hated Judas in the story as told - nor those others who enacted the roles in the script of the 'killing of innocence' - a story in which Jesus willingly and  consciously accepted his own part in trust and in service to Universal Will That thus iluminates and undoes a fundamental archetype of the mind of man - of sin enacting the 'death' of God. For if God is yet God unkilled then it is sin that is rendered ineffectual - excepting of course to the mind that interprets even this through the lens of guilt so as to make the Revelation; God is Love - into the teaching;  God is sacrifice of love.

The mind that believes it lives by sacrifice will not see with love's vision - as Jesus own life’s example illuminates - but therefore will interpret all things in terms of the judgements it makes instead of in terms of a living unified singularity. All things can be turned to serve a higher purpose than that which our desire to judge gives them, and the purpose of teachings of truth is not to contest truth in the world of men - but to awaken from a false and faulty formulation of the world.

Such realized truth is evidenced by its fruits - and not by its presentation or adoption as idea based identity in the world. The fruits of realized truth are of course quite opposite from the self righteous hate that surfaces in human psychology as ‘the elect and the scapegoat’. These illusory roles are enacted within our consciousness and then outpictured in our behaviour. A unified consciousness includes but transcends apparent polarities.

Judas thought that his own thought was clarity and that he would be vindicated. The disciples all - represent the human liability to misinterpret all things through the lens of fear - arising from a sense of self as yet unconscious - but which was raised first in Peter - to have transcended the personal sense. On that awakened capacity and realisation does Jesus found his 'Church'.

It ultimately doesn't matter as to proving or disproving anything in the world - but to prove the restoration of an unspeakable love and an indivisible peace to a direct uninterpreted awareness - is to have 'overcome' the world. Not by resisting the evil or false as a power in itelf - but by disregarding it for the faulty formulation of reality that it represents.

The religious impulse - including the religious imagination - includes both wheat and tares. But the sorting out is the result of a higher discernment than a personal self sense - or indeed of a discipline that seeks to manually separate out a material objectivity by elevating measurable externals to the status of fact. But insofar as we have tools - we use them with what integrity we can bring forth - all the while seeking to discern more directly.

For the capacity to discern is already in the heart - as the innate nature of the heart’ capacity to recognise and receive - and to be guided and moved in the nature of its sharing. If we become disenchanted of our own self image and begin to challenge the judgement by which we make ourselves a polarised and conflicting experience, then we become available to the guidance for awakening. Whatsoever forms that will take in any specific case arise from the repurposing of the script for self made experience - that necessitates guilt, fear and suffering amidst the confusion of ignorance - to the awakened purpose of undoing releasing and undoing guilt. That Love come into its Own - and be shared and known - truly.

Pondering the Infinity of no thing

Our human concept of space as ‘nothing’ is inside out and upside down.
Space is of the nature of Universal Mind or Awareness - not as a mere lack of materiality - but as the nature of uncreated light. There isn't really any ‘nothing’ anywhere - but such is the predicate of there being exclusively ‘something’. But such a 'Creation' is of the mortal sense as it is a limited expression of Infinity, which as a concept is a self defeating idea - but as an extension of Infinity to Itself consitutes no interruption or real difference.
And so an appearance of limitation amidst infinite indivisible singularity constitutes the reflection of the eternal as self - awareness.

I had a go at writing this in the calm assurance that it is also self defeating or futile in concept yet may afford a glimpse through form to the formless; The Living Cause that abides unchanging as the Foundation and true Nature of All That Is; beginingless, endless - yet One in Spirit, Indivisible.

Science uncovers more of the subtler aspects of a Universe that it yet regards as mechanism that produced mind - rather than Mind working at the level of mechanism.

That the Causation of apparent manifestation is not in fact in time or in a past.

These things I can sketch in intuitive ways - and offer no proofs beyond this exact instance of experience. That manifest creation is fundamentally an act or expression in Consciousness and yet that Consciousness is itself a Movement in which Awareness Knows Itself.

I have long had the glimmering that consciousness is part of a larger equation that - if resolved - cancels out to what the conceptual mind must conceive of as nothing - though it could be just as well called everything. I don't know that I can or want to get my head around trying to formulate this. I find it easier to sense it in terms of Mind and thought because I am experiencing my own awareness as mind through thought. (Not through thinking).
But thought as an instrument of understanding by a presumed thinker - is a dream of no substance - except as it serves to wake the Mind to its true Nature.

A daily dose of flu news that is fear pretending to be news

The fixation of the flu news as one ongoing drip drip drip source of anxiety among many feels to me to be part of 'selling fear'.
Now if there is to be even a pretense at a news service - let us have some indications of actual and proportionate new information - such as what are the usual statistics for flu during recent years and is this year any different. And the medical facts around the conditions and efficacies of the course of treatment for different sections of the population.
News services these days feel more like the mind control mechanisms of fiction such as Brave New World or 1984.
The study of health is not funded or promoted beyond a lip service to such as diet and exercise - without examining the psychic and emotional underpinnings that are also a vital part of the picture. To live in fear is to be sick-minded and amidst a constant low level anxiety where any and every kind of bogeyman or plague is about to befall us.
Now for anyone who gets sick and suffers - I have only the most heartfelt desire that they find not only returned health - but rude health - joyful health - a disposition of radiance!
Where might that come from?
From the heart's awakening to its true nature.
I'm not saying don't use medical assistance - but I am recommending to not act our of fear in whatever we choose to do - or at least, to take a direct look at the way we can so easily become deceived by our own fearful thoughts and emotions as well as becoming taken over or manipulated by pests that take advantage of a weak constitution.

When love's messenger is killed

The true religious sense is of a Holiness or Sanctity of being - of which there are no conceptual or symbolic frameworks by which to speak of it that hold the meaning of the experience itself.

Yet cultural structures are created as inspiration grows around such intimately felt truths that can only be truly known through willingness for love's shared presence.

The structural and institutional nature of the human mind that seeks rather for its own righteousness or validation will cover over and blindly usurp the inspiration of Love's presence and guidance with fearful rules that claim authority from a structural interpretation of the revealed Holiness, love or inspiration. And seek to gain a sense of assured personal salvation from fearful punishment by assuming a self appointed role as protector of the true faith.

The living expression of a true faith in the power and sanctity of love is the messenger of God - and requires no outward form or show of the concepts or symbols of God to be love's purpose shared. Love doesn't have to prove itself true in terms of the local culture to be truly love.

It is characteristic of this world and of the mind that is active within it - that fear is worshipped as power - in place of love - and that love is killed in the name of ‘God’.

Terrorism is within our own heart - when we hide rather than share the truth of what is alive and moving as the very desire of our heart - for the sake of a maintaining our sense of security amidst the tyranny of fear.

The depth and complexity of fear in the mind of man should not be underestimated - nor of its capacity to have us acting out our beliefs as ones who ‘know not what they do’. For until we look within and see fear’ deception at work - we will continue to be deceived by it - regardless of our cultural background. We will see our denied and projected guilt and fear in the ‘other’ and hate it to feel better.

The childish mythological and magical aspect of religion - lends itself to fearful manipulation. Those who seek personal advantage through the use of manipulating through inciting fear are themselves deceived by a wish to gain special advantage at the expense of their brothers and sisters.

When we accept the terms set by such a mentality - we lose our own capacity to listen and trust and feel the heart, Whether we are religious or spiritual or humanist in our outward cultural expression.

Righteousness made by man - in God's name - or by any ascribed external authority - is a fearful attempt to validate oneself or one's group. But attacking the position of any who are actively engaging in fear will always validate their perspective.

A true righteousness embodies a demeanour of unselfconscious love - a love that honours and acknowledges itself in others. That inspires and encourages others to awaken from and move through fear. It does not arise from a desire to be personally right but from a willingness to be helpful; to serve and extend love's work - and to share in its fruits.

The opportunity of our times is to awaken from fearful deceit and regain the Meaning of love, which is always beyond reach of the meanings that human minds attempt to make of it - and indeed of the scientific mind that pretends it doesn't exist in a context of intimate relatedness  - but asserts itself as an independent power - all by itself - amidst mechanism and matter - to tame and bend to its will - in order to prevail a while amidst a dead universe in which love is at best a genetically contrived illusion.

Unless there is a movement for sanity that we embody and so becomes a momentum - then insanity prevails and we suffer to live so much less than we are - and amidst such tragic misperception of all that life can hold and share.

Meaninglessness is the trigger for an awakening process in man - but there is little cultural support for this and much liability to interpret blind self interest in others as an evil intent and set up false gods whose power comes from opposing perceived evil.

When the truth is apparently shot, we must beware that we do not believe it. Truth can not BE killed. But trust in our own being can be undermined by fear.

The desire to control and make truth fit our private agendas is the ubiquitous human ‘sin’ of usurping God - in which our own awareness of love is denied or killed by guilt and fear. When the God symbol or concept is used without such awareness of Love's Presence - there is already in some sense a blasphemous act. But this simply calls for correction and NOT for punishment.

Any religion that becomes an embodiment of guilt and punishment is not a joining with love. Where then is its authority?

Whatever our own part - we can listen beyond the mind that loves to hate - and deprive the mind that feeds on conflict - by uncovering an unconflicted response.
I am saying that we can - but it is clear that we can also be sucked into wars and insanity.

Lovelessness and pornography

Lovelessness - asserts it freedoms to abuse, exploit and worship fantasies upon life, upon others upon ones own body - as a substitute for real relationship - which it knows nothing of - and fears. It knows not an honouring, trust-growing, undefended, and loving relationship and lives out a distorted fantasy life in secret.


Sexual loving is a beautiful language of being. Our bodies are wonderful communicators of loving presence - as we allow ourselves to let go of strategic self interest - getting something or getting away from something - and discover ourselves caring, playing, and holding each other. Oneness is not a climax - it is the very ground of our being - shared. There is so much more to life than what we think we know - and that is experienced a wonder, beauty and a glorious quality of being - of a communioned life.


Lovelessness is a disconnected sense of self-lack in isolation that restlessly seeks stimulating distraction in order to feel alive - and thus deadens itself and calls it 'satisfaction'. It then ups the stakes in order to get a hit or becomes addicted to reenacting empty rituals. Fantasy life that fucks up the capacity to look beyond outer forms and discover the truly wondrous nature of love - because a society that has become fearful has turned its back on love and instead seeks selfishly to grasp at whatever offers makes its pain subside - and hates to open to a light of a shared awareness. It hates to love - and loves to hate.


By being available outside a cultural context of relationship, pornography becomes culturally acceptable currency. Women have their labia cut to look like the girls in the porn. College kids emulating the porn scenarios that are purveyed as if women are dirty slut bitches and fit only to fist, fuck and cum all over as if that were a gift!


When does playing in - and exploring boundaries become the deception and abduction or coercion of sex slaves? Is it when we care more about maintaining our own fantasies than letting the truth of another - or of our self - interfere?


I am writing here because there is a much larger conversation about our sexuality, than socially induced consumerism, that extends a 'culture' of exploitation, manipulation, and usury - and calls it freedom. It is not talked openly - but referred to in comic tones - that let a sort of slapstick, gloss over and sanitize it as a 'bit o'fun'.


Now if a demeaning and malicious lie about you is propagated as if it were truth - you would not subscribe to it - nor would you nurture it - nor would you defend its right to be equal to the truth. Instead you would subscribe to that which promotes appreciation of truth, and invest your care and value in it. You might struggle long to come to your senses though as the cultural pressures suggest that its ok to fuck yourself up - or indeed anyone else - because we are free of outdated and phoney moral sensibilities - and "We are all individuals".


Distractions that serve to cover the dissonance of human life do not really give freedom - they bring hollow emptiness and addiction. However, with those whose full intent is to wilfully assert themselves as they are not - and declare themselves self-content - it is vain to argue. Life is a teaching - learning adventure - and we are free to learn through pain as well as joy. Forgiveness is a real release from guilt when one is willing to accept and share it. No one is damned but by their own refusal.


What we demonstrate in our lives - is the culture that we share - particularly to those who we welcome into the world and pass on the ways we know. All are free to learn according to their own heart's guidance - no matter what experiences we have - we ultimately choose the meaning it has for us.


But the Meaning that is uncovered that truly serves us all is not one of dressing up in the dark so as to play out our own psychodrama - but of a genuine kindness, care and attention.


I see the raising of the curtains of a false privacy as the disclosure to ourselves of ourselves - and this IS a real opportunity. Because amidst our self spun script of a life we act out as if it were real - and discover perhaps a lot later - that we chose against our own heart's desire.


There may be a lot of money in selling porn - but there is only an undermining of commonwealth. Is there a place for it? Of course there is - but if it is not kept in its place it usurps ... the capacity of Soul to feel and know life directly.

Freedom, trust and honesty - wikileaks

The personification of issues whether via the hero’s halo or the smear of shame is irrelevant and serves only to obscure a current movement in consciousness.

The way to enjoy and appreciate freedoms is to exercise them, wholeheartedly.

We are not free to make the truth be what we say it is and then act out from that as if we are acting legitimately - no matter what degree of coercive intent we may bring to bear. For when we do so we are suffering deception - and 'inviting' contagion. This is the loss of true freedom for ‘a lead role in a cage’.

Governments acting in secret assure their citizens in public that they are protecting and serving them. If through disclosure they are shown to be hypocrites - then let it be an opportunity to regain a sane and legitimate basis for communication and governance. Not tomorrow but henceforth.

The mind that fights against - is trapped in the very argument as defined by its 'believed' or chosen opponent.

Standing for or giving witness to truth - is worthy of trust when it is an expression of a peaceful intent - for taking 'sides' is a way of asserting one’s identity wilfully rather than discerning the real in receptive willingness to discover. Of course others will perceive according to their choice.

All are equally deserving of the awareness of truth - and the truth is not as we would make it or spin it to ourselves. Truth is not deception. Its tangibility is associated with the absence of fear and the presence of trust.

The illegitimacy of deception may give rise to a sense of an evil intent and therefore a justified enmity. But only truth reveals illegitimacy in terms of correction. The ‘deceiver’ can use everything including disclosure of truths to serve a hidden agenda. Therefore be free of a hidden agenda.

The mind that seeks to use guilt - blame and shame - against others and thereby feel self validated is yet playing out a deeper private agenda of misplaced self interest in which it sleeps. There are fears beneath the surface that work to KEEP secret - to keep hidden - from awareness. It is here that the real work is engaged that is also reflected in the world we share.

The complexity and sheer impossibility of maintaining a masked reality means that there are disclosures and leaks - and these are usually dealt with by distraction and denial so as to 'restore normal reality'. I'm not talking now about the U.S - but about all of US.

The kinds of cultural shift that are genuinely NEEDED - come through discerned opportunities that are TAKEN. Don't wait for your leaders.

There are of course many layers of meaning through such events as are unfolding - but a true priority is more likely to arise from a calm and connected heart and mind.

That the human mind is given to tricksy deceit whereby it takes on and is thereby taken in - is not news - except to us who are waking up to that we've been party to it. Don't try to hide that from your awareness or invest it with guilt.

The story of Jesus gives example of how to 'deal' with hypocrites and trick questions - and yet to be patiently dedicated in educating and serving to the genuine willingness of others - regardless of their apparent status.

He did not do so by using guilt against them to unseat them - and thereby gain the upper hand. Quite the opposite - he Lived guiltlessness to those who suffered their own sin and freed them of the need to believe it as their truth.

He didn't 'do' this so much as be unwilling to 'do' otherwise - and then trusted the movement of being that expressed itself as helpfulness, wholeness and healing.

A true peace can come only from honesty - and for this - the internal divisions whereby we like to maintain private agendas secret even from ourselves must be freely - step by step - undone.

When the mind that spins in its own deceits seeks to broadcast - let it be discerned and disregarded - so that attention can be wholly given to listening for true guidance in the need of the current situation as it truly is.

This is a matter of practicing so as to bring forth the basis from which we live. For what we demonstrate - or ‘teach’ - teaches us.
