A Brain On LSD Looks Like A Psychotic Brain, Says New Study

A brain on LSD looks a lot like a psychotic brain. Earhart-Harris says that these images of a brain on LSD look a lot like a brain right before a psychotic episode. In both cases, neurons that used to work together start firing out of sync, and neurons that normally wouldn't work together suddenly do.

A brain on LSD is self-absorbed. The scans showed that the electrical activity of the brain slowed down substantially, mimicking the sorts of wave patterns doctors see during visual hallucinations. This led the team to believe that a brain on LSD is "tethered more to the internal than to the external world."

I love that phrase 'internal world'. Whatever the 'external world' is, any capacity to participate 'IN' it - in character, as it were - is dependent on a range of events of aligned purpose.
Is 'inner world' a direct experiential communication of such purpose? - but mis-perceived when experienced and conformed to the framework of artificial outer-world 'unity'.
LSD can open experiential perspectives preverbally of many aspects of multidemensional Cosmology - which is why the stories of tech innovators using it (including micro dosing) to open insight that can contribute to the frontier of rapidly innovating evolution of tech.
However, there are other similar and more natural substances including DMT which is secreted in the pineal gland - is it not - as a matter of course?
The realm of Consciousness is of course the realm of inherited psychic and emotional CHAOS - that a large part of the surface mind (external reality) seeks to LIMIT and CONTROL. Indeed there are suggestions that the brain is a Limitation device - although that also allows a very particular focus within Everything At ONCE!
But accountable controllable reproducible conceptual theory maps and models are already setting a range of parameters that filter and distort what can be 'found'.
Coming back to the idea of purpose, the 'what for' - as far as science is concerned is simply persistence (survive and procreate). Coupled with the sanctioned purpose of prevailing to procreate and persist - we have the exact basis for the psychopathic financial and corporate globalism that scientists probably are not perhaps aware of - being somewhat focussed in their (scientific) tools or specialities.

I'm not averse to ANY discipline serving a true Humanity - (which I regard as inherently purposeful) but the accretions of scientism around true scientific curiosity and endeavour has accumulated a particular ignorance and arrogance. Perhaps some exposure to experiential and somewhat chaotic 'reality' is missing in modern scientific careers?

PS - because of the imprint of terror, guilt, fear and shame that is pre-loaded as part of the human template - in various ways and degrees in various individuals. The 'regression' or exposure to the primitive or infancy states of consciousness is EXACTLY where the trigger for psychosis activates, and psychosis is one of many strategic reactions to the trigger state. A key insight being that the attempt to CONTROL reflects immediately as a CHAOS that then escalates and reinforces the need and justification FOR control. This 'control mentality' then becomes the protector of the 'war against terror'. If perspective is not regained the mind splits or fragments - and attempts to unify the sense of personal control grows the capacity to operate as 'a cohesive unit' out of many conflicting purposes or 'realities'. All of this is already reflected and study able as our world - but is not connected with inner 'reality' - while the non-physical or non local is discarded, rejected and filtered out - because its acknowledgement implicitly illuminates arenas of dependence that the control mentality finds insulting or a trigger to rage and a desire to manually replace it with its OWN systems.

The Morality Instinct

We like to think that the choice between good and evil is based on philosophy and reason. The latest neuroscience research is telling us to think again. 

The prime motivation of choice is always toward pleasure and away from pain as one defines oneself to be in any given situation. Self definition operates largely unconsciously within the illusion of the freedom to operate as an independent agent - which also is an effect of self-definition.

The imposition of moral coercion upon consciousness may be part of acclimatizing to the culture one is born into, but it is a corruption of true moral integrity which is a congruence of thought, word and act.

The body-brain (they cannot really be understood in separation) operates as a communicating device for the physical mind of the total personality construct - which cannot really be understood apart from the higher or non physical mind or bridge to the Consciousness of which and in which everything is being experienced.

The mythological template realities of any given culture or individual embodying such culture, operate as perspectives of experience, and communication and relationship with of course a built in survival mechanism. But survival is not the goal, but the provision of continuity in time as the unfolding story. Non-local Consciousness is not subject to time or space but extends Idea expressions within which time and space are an integral aspect of an overall congruency.

There is no time in Now. One has to utilize mind to compare now with then - which is also a construct within an entirely present totality. identification within this separated construct mind of personal consciousness, operates a virtual reality within experiential template and the body-brain is somewhat like a deep sea diving suit that facilitates accessing such experience. All experience is valid but incongruent template definitions reflects conflicted experience of discord and regardless of applied ingenuity results in joyless sense of disconnection and disintegration.

Hence the call to wake up from the outer dream to the inner template and accept ONLY the congruency of the bridging with higher or non-local Consciousness.

Neuroscience can facilitate looking at template consciousness without the filters and distortions of some of the traditional mythological corruptions. However science itself operates its own mythological themes by inheritance and reaction AGAINST Consciousness. The idea of putting aside the personal so as to discern a wholeness without bias is correct, but the personal must first be noticed and owned, in order to be released. Otherwise it runs as 'hidden agenda' and may then serve, personal (or extension of the personal to its group) reputation and success, respectability and status, power over and predictive control over externals, others, world and Life.

Wholeness embraces and includes the personal and so both/and comes to replace the either/or, but if the part seeks ascendancy over the whole, ignorance and arrogance manifest appropriate reflections to waken and realign - which we call pride coming before a fall.

Fate, Freedom and Neuroscience?

The Watchers - had this video of a discussion on 'Fate, Freedom and Neuroscience'.
I appreciate that scientific discovery can serve a reawakening to the nature of consciousness - where such desire is moving - as it can serve the ever more subtle attempts to prevail over or coerce Life in our own image and concept of ourselves and our reality. It is not seen as coercive because it feels righteous and justified over and against 'self evident evils', but a blind materialism looks to the material world and its mentality for its cause and denies the Consciousness that is already active as its Source, Nature and actual Condition.



Free will includes freedom to accept self-definition that create the experience of life as a conditioned mechanism. It remains free throughout the experience - but is not believed available within the choice to self-limitation and so is not used - or rather is used to persist in choosing limitation.

One Always chooses to move toward pleasure and away from pain AS ONE"S BELIEF DEFINE IT.
In this sense believed definitions are the template level of consciousness and are generally INVISIBLE as the structure of consciousness/world through which we then experience a unique focus or life experience.
The personality construct is somewhat of a probe extending into physical experience that already has specific template parameters and which grows and adapts at the level of its own freedom - within the context of the template level themes.
The unified Self is such that all parts are in communication AS the totality of the experience, template definitions, feeling, thinking, and emotional and physical reinforcement.
The segregated self is such as believes itself autonomous at the personality level - and identifies exclusively with the thinking and emotions that reinforce the personality 'ego' or self concept.
Freedom at the Soul or being level is the freedom to be - while at the ego level is the freedom to do. But one can only choose as one's already accepted and active self-definitions have defined - and such action is the expression or manifestation of those largely unconscious choices which have both individual and collective facets.

It could be said that freedom is experience. Your experience is your freedom to define, and identify with your definition, reflected and reinforced.
One can change one's core beliefs - from within the focus of a lifetime, but no one can change what first they do not own and here is the acceptance of free will as the foundation of Consciousness Responsibility.
You are Existence Itself - with no way to EXPERIENCE your existence but through your free willingness to define and thus differentiate imaginatively as Subject, relative to the experience of object. This is the self/other-self polarity within Self that has no 'other'.
All experience is the reflection of facets of Infinity - also known as Creation.
The level of the segregated or disconnected ego is associated as self division, conflict and fear and as such runs as a kind of virtual layer of disconnected belief-experience, that operates as a distorting lens or filter upon the consciousness of All That Is.
The noticing and observation of such distortion, is the reawakening of the freedom to own one's choice as one's own instead of ascribing it to external circumstance. Now your wheels are back in touch with the road, you are free to choose anew.
The basis for choice is resonance and relevance to your primary desire or joy. If you no longer define joy in terms of prevailing over self-conflicted invalidation, you are free to be able to focus and extend your presence spontaneously instead of struggling within terms of coercion.

I've sketched this as an invitation to Consciousness Responsibility. The segregative self-sense invokes rationality to support its symbolic act of divorce and disconnection from Life - from Consciousness as the recognition of One in All and All in the One. Rationality is in this sense used as a substitute and replacement for intuitive discernment, although of course it relies on the original to have a seemingly autonomous exist, and so redefines and subverts all such 'messengers' within its own framework of meanings.
The reintegrative self-sense extends logically as congruency and resonance and is creatively engaged and participant in the movement of its being - rather than the distractions of its own thought.
The Idea 'God' can like any idea or symbol, be used in differing context of personal agenda to take on the meaning that such context dictates.
One Intimate and ecstatic meaning of the term 'God' is one's Source Consciousness and true presence. The One, is not coercive upon, for it knows Itself in All That Is.
The Nature of Consciousness is both Gift and creative extension. The extension of 'gifts' unlike your Source Nature could be called a 'mis-creative projection'. For the multiplying  abundance of debt, guilt, lack, conflict, disease and fearful attempt to re-brand all things in ever more complex and convoluted definitions is a learning failure; a system of depletion and collapse that reinforces the demand and attempt to command and control.
The mechanism is a device designed to serve Life-purpose. Uncovering the nature of the mechanism in merely material terms is the denial of Life-purpose. This must be realized as meaningless before it can be abandoned.
The mind has its own 'black ops', deceits and subterfuges. A segregative rationality is one of its favourite tools.

A documentary presents new developments in neuroscience and a solution to the many current unsolved problems in physics. While it keeps clear of metaphysical correlations and is solely focused on scientifically verifiable data it also has philosophical repercussions pertaining to life, death and the origin of the universe.

This presents a neuro-scientific perspective on Consciousness. It compliments a neurosurgeon's testament after being in coma that had aspects of brain death - but not of consciousness.

I offered the comment below to the first mentioned video.

An abundance of recognizable consciousness reflection here, but a curious scientism-identity that then validates itself via uncovering the illusion or non existence of self - and yet describes psycho-physical processes in terms of such 'self' in order to create the reflection idea of Infinite Instant - as a point of view - although all point of view (experience) is such Instant.

The creation of infinite experience within such Instant, simply is... the reflective or 'self'-awareness - and contains within it all apparent limitations and distortions or modifications of itself.

Because there is nothing 'outside it' and no-when and no where - where it is not, it is the Source Condition of all names that cannot itself be named - and so is reflected in every name.

Creating experience as a rich reflection, is the giving/receiving communication within Consciousness that is the transcendent context of the extending consciousness as multiple nodes of creation.

The 'self' of such node is free to extend and reflect the lines of its own creation - but it may never leave its own Source Node of Infinite Consciousness. But any Idea conceivable can be experienced - including the idea of an exclusive or separate or private creation. But such experience is a filtered overlay of mind - of intention, thought, desire. The density and continuity of such experience uses an apparent contra force of action and reaction as a framework within which also to explore, uncover and reflect or share facets of All That Is to All That Is.

"Know Thyself", applies on any apparent level, for it is the 'motion' within timeless Instant whereby Existence Communicates Itself to Itself - the All in One and the One in All.

Giving/receiving is inescapable - all thought is creative at some level. But the surface thinking of the personality construct is simply forms of distortion filtering that masks and prisms Infinity or non-local synchronicity in focus of the self-segregating intent.

The shift to the reintegrating movement operates as a unifying presence rather than the attempt to unify around a point of coercive force or reaction.

All motivation is Universal - but the definition of self in relation to any relation determines the feeling and meaning and belief and action that follows. Such inherency places awakened responsibility as the heart of knowing true alignment. For each extension of Infinite Consciousness is unique and has its own core signature vibration. To align with one's core being is to resolve to joy, to move in, with and as the interest, engagement, excitement or enlivening appreciation of existence itself.

Much of the negative human conditioning is a conceptual misidentification as a result of exploring coercive will. The urge to control or understand in terms of private self interest is a vanity of a limited duration, because it cuts off awareness of source and overloads the mind with a task it is not designed nor capable of performing. The usurping of the creative impulse is a self-possessive loop that is no less self depleting and so, leads to the end-time or shift to Inclusive Perspective.

Whatever serves the reintegration within the resonance of the step being engaged, is naturally attracted. The attempt to control this process is part of the uncovering of such modality through its breakdown - despite and because of ingenuity.

Using mind to understand mind must always be free of self-seriousness and yet can serve the re-membering of presence as a participance and joy that extends qualities of unified existence or Life - rather than seek to get it or seek self-validation.

It isn't that core religion is wrong - but that the idea of separation of God and Consciousness, segregated a mind. A segregative mind MUST limit itself within a body of unconsciousness or Communication would dissolve the intent. The power to forget is inherent to creation and irrelevant to Infinity. Focusing within true-for-you-now alignment

is a simple self honesty/ Love the existence that is in truth loving you into existence and be the flow of choice that expresses and extends such value.
