I think everything is only as good as where you are coming from - so finding a true response-ability rather than being triggered into reaction.
Invest in what truly enhances the quality of your life. Within that ongoing honesty of being is what you do or don't do with your money, your time and your thought.
Generally it is prudent to spread your risks - but in a specific passion - you may be moved to invest everything into a project that is a primary vehicle of what you are alive for.
Fear tends to operate a self-fulfilling prophecy. Saving for a rainy day may guarantee you... a rainy day. But disregarding fear is even more dangerous because what hasn't been honestly transformed is still active and will sabotage the best laid plans.
If you don't appreciate expanding the idea of planning in this way and just want someone else to tell you what to do - then you understand why there are so many people and groupings of people 'telling us what to do'. Not that they might not be a good match - but you still have to discern whether to align with and act on advice unless you give a blank cheque in advance.
Opening your imagination to whatever comes up is something you can do now - and that is a creative process that will bear fruit if you hang in with it. Use everything if it fits or serves or sparks interest - but of course what you truly want in Life is your primary desire and all else will take form from it.
I understand a man once said - take no thought for yourself - and all else will be given you - including any plans you need to make relative to what you are moved to be and do. I sense he knew what he meant but that we are afraid to know and so we marked him out as a nutter or too different to matter - and so we learned nothing except how to maintain a narrative i which fear can be hidden - which is the invitation to the wolf in sheep's clothing. I realize I have far exceeded anything you likely wanted  - but amidst such deception - where does one even begin?

This clip offers a great metaphor for ungrounded or wishful government interventions.

Supporting what doesn't work and cannot work and then being unable to withdraw without seeming to be the cause of collapse!

Of course it isn't only governments who enact this pattern. Our financial 'rulers' set up similar scams but usually make it seem like someone else is responsible - and buy up cheap assets.

But closer to home, our own mentality indulges vanities or wishful thinking that leads to lifestyles or relationships that cant work and will never work - and likewise seek to keep the appearances together until time runs out.

The politics (actions that express and define our society) of today seems so much focussed on 'keeping appearances together', such as to be a war on our own mind - where what is actually going on cannot be addressed or even acknowledged, and any attempt at communication is subverted into polarized denial device such that persons and 'blame' get to dominate as the maintenance of the delusion of the status quo and the entertainment-distractions of self-righteous opinion.

It is perhaps a matter of how much we have invested in the appearances of something that lacks integrity or true worth.
There is actually a great freedom in not having to keep it all up any more. "I cant do it" is a simple and liberating honesty that - accepted - lets the chips or indeed the biscuits - fall where they may while resuming a Real Life. Everyone has one and is one - but its back in a closet because it doesn't look like an Emperor's outfit.

Maybe one has to do the utmost while a ship is going down until baling out or making rafts is no longer possible. But essentially what we invest in - where we give value - will become foundational to all that comes after.

Hard to credit that this 'bake-off' isn't a set up. The implanted pathetic one for whom the audience cringes at their somewhat sadistically written scripted presentation. But life also imitates art and a nation of telly-tubbies rises to mimic the culture that is quite deliberately fed them - or does a desire for unconsciousness demand to be fed one way or another?

There's no market for anything sane - what does that say about the mind that manipulates what once was a vehicle or focus of exchange of Goods and Services. (Capitalized to draw attention to that life is good and service to life serves all).

One might claim life is not good and that if you don't serve only yourself - no one else will. Such is the power of our investment in ideas. We really don't have to set up a life or world that fails. We simply need to re-visit the definitions and ideas we are already investing in that are not honestly working for our life, our world - without blame - so as to let go of what does not work and can not work - and bring our willingness to what is already working - and cooperate with that!

Humiliation goes with the territory here. If we cant release a self-specialness then we cant embrace the native integrity of our being. A mindset of blame, shame and guilt absolutely forbids any real engagement with problem or solution , and which cannot be effected by 'divide and rule' mentality. But if that is almost all one has ever known, how could I get this message across? I say 'almost' - because no one is totally without some stirring or moment of being seen, accepted, honoured or embraced in a quality that demanded nothing of them and let them be themselves.

I've seen it before on BBC news site. After a calamity - in this case the earthquake in Haiti - they run a story like "how can God allow such things to happen". A bit of philosophy and a couple of churchpeople's quotes.
Why does God allow natural disasters?
I decided to add my comment - to see if in a nutshell I could put anything forth that might suggest a different way of seeing. But as the presumptions of self and world are already so unquestioned, I don't know that I can in fact say anything that can make any sense to those who haven't begun to awaken. But below is what I wrote.


Human interpretations of Creation, (God-being-all-that-is) have made up and believed a self and world experience that - at its root - expresses a separation from the intimacy that feels and knows and is the oneness of Creation.

The lens of this separate sense is so fundamental to human experience, that very few realize it is a deception - and fewer still awaken from it. However, to see the presence of love - and to be the presence of love - realigns our experience with unconflicted Truth.

Rather than mythologise God to fit human fancy - why not ask in the stillness of the heart - what is the truth here? - and be guided to act from a connected sense of the desire of your own heart revealed?

Love inspires miracles - or shifts into alignment with a Living Truth whose nature is evidenced here and now - not in another world.

So yes I am saying that what we call life, the world, our self can be seen in an entirely fresh Perspective. 'Adam's sin' was a sleep of judgement.

Nightmares can become a goad to waking - but so can a dream of a life without really sharing love.
Compassion is willingness to encompass - include - identify with the Spirit in your brother and the world we share.
