Do we deserve what we get?

ColinB :

Conservative Woman can expect a visit from Cressida Dick, with Sadiq Khan in tow, and the site shut down for being Covid sceptic. Hope they have an alternative website for when this happens.

binra > ColinB:

Not at all.

the tech companies may deny access, service, threatening warnings etc - such as to keep out all but the committed.

At higher levels, hosting could be denied, funding, credit card access, any number of 'incentives' can be applied. New laws can criminialise speech etc .

But in doing so they show their hand all the more.

I note Apple Safari is already prefigured to block sites that are legitimate information -such as the new Great Barrington collateral damage initiative - but many others.

Cressida and Sadiq are only likely to visit in secret if they had some temptation to doubt their programming.

Faramond > binra:

Those who use Safari, Chrome, Google Search etc deserve what they don't get.

binra > Faramond:

Is not your attitude the same as that of those who would deny life to the 'undeserving'?

The resort to a variety of browsers does not have to take a polarised identity in one or against another.

For all we know, those (tech providers) that purport to hold for 'freedom' are run by those most seeking to have it for themselves at expense of others.

If you have a superior perspective - why do you not share it?

Educate as an extension of a sense of shared worth in life?

Who can run a tech company and truly retain independence from the leverage of resource control?

I used to think geeks would blow the whistle on backdoor deceits, but this also can be pre-empted to normalise lack of actual privacy or security as 'normal'.

It is a surveillance and control system that seems to offer magical powers, at a price.

You might think that we all deserve what we don't get -as a result of sharing the apple of self-illusion given priority over truth. But I see that as the mind of judgement that justifies itself by seeing the sin and blameworthy as its source of joy, instead of opening to joy in wholeness of being.

All are deserving of love's awareness.

Give to have, for what you give sets YOUR measure (not theirs).

I could use the phrase 'love's honesty'. I am not being fluffy, vague or sentimental.

The system learns and incorporates our responses to further tighten its control.

If it were completely transparent then the controllers would be fully in the open in their actions. I do not see an IoT that serves an integrated identity, but a vertical hierarchy of a 'command chain'.

The opacity of top down systems or modes of thinking, does not recognise real relationship or communication, but a masking over of anything true or worthy, in the currency of compliance - and coded defiance.
