 Vit D levels - if topped up by sun exposure during summer will persist for some time - unless there is something that depleted it quickly - are you aware of such?

For all I know there may be factors limiting vit D apart from sunscreen and shade - such as statins - if cholesterol is low.

Otherwise you might be interested in the research on levels of temperature that are necessary for the viral process to operate in the cooler regions of the respiratory tract.

What would constitute a need to have a respiratory episode?

If it wasn't presumed to be a pathological attack by alien hijackers, what life-functions might it serve for the individual psycho-physical expression of a species?

Apart from serving the role and reactions currently being acted out as our Medical system?

(I don't see contagious disease in the Indian or Chinese medical traditions. It has more in common with contagion of thought, will or spirit in primitive and religious mythic narratives. Such as being hijacked by evil spirits that sneak in when our gap is open - which may be why a blessing is offered to one who sneezes - but not one who coughs - perhaps also confirming immunity on the giver).

Why ask questions when all the money and social status is in following the narrative? (aka 'the science'). One reason is because we are alive and the movement of life is towards growth as expansion as well as re-consolidating and integrating through compression. Else what 'grows' can lose coherence in contradictions that operate 'parasitically' or like a tumour, as a sort of blind agenda that has lost touch with Base and is operating under deprivation, stress and isolation, as if switched into a blind survival mode that cannot or is not being brought back into communication with the whole. I see the current narrative as being forced, protected and given priority above any common-sense response to health or sickness. But it is part of a long conditioning process that has 'come out' to play god over us through the back door of a sacred trust that has been hijacked and used against us.

I am not aware of rigorous modern trials to demonstrate what many believe to occur as transmission of virus as an infection from one to another but I read of such trials in 1918 that failed to do so even when sputum was introduced by direct means, beds were shared with the sick and so on. I suspect there is a communication of information passing within a species and perhaps across species - as life is at root a symbiosis of balanced conditions for the unfolding or  as a richer or more complex expression that includes a self-reflective consciousness within a quality of self-awareness.

We know and live the process of receiving and replicating information - not just words but the full gamut of what life is and does in relation to our consciousness of its expression through us.

So while we cannot really see what the presumed viral process is doing to initiate and activate all the changes associated with its delivery, we know that it doesn't really hijack - but is received, doesn't really replicate itself or mutate but is replicated by living cells - sometimes as variants that may contain new information of adaptation to the body and beyond.

We see a virus as code in a wrapper that enables encapsulation and transport and addressing in the body, but we don't seem to see it as similar to an email - unless of course, we are Bill gates.

Hacking the code is the ancient art of sorcery, for making life do what you program it to do is the interjection of bias into the flow and exchange of Communication - like a moneylender in the Template of the financial system.

The idea of changing our DNA via such 'code entities' is also presuming DNA to be The Controller or the 'brain' of the cell. But from Bruce Lipton through the development of epigenetics, we know this is not at all so simple - but why let truth get in the way of deep and vast investments that backed the wrong horse? 

The only way to keep a lie running as true is by militating darkness as the new normal.
