Victimhood is a State of Mind

Victimhood is a State of Mind" - Ayishat Akanbi

BLM is one strand of the weaponisation of language to serve a guilt and punishment dictate. Who gets to form or shape or determine such narrative? Not the proxies who are used to enforce it nor the weaponised victimhood of the selected grievance. Power given to guilt and fear is the subjection to its framing - under the illusion of power as control.

Fear and control work both sides of the divide. But truly aligned purpose is not divided against itself as an attempt to become vindicated or validated - but rather - receives by the giving or extending of worth. Ayishat Akanbi is exemplifing what she speaks such that virtue is extended - not masking in, or signalling as 'please don't hurt me' to potential abusers or terror threat.

To identify against a false framing is still to take an identity from what you deny, and so the crash course in miracles is to live from a willingness for communication as a receiving and giving that find balance points in practical and constructive ways. In some sense we meet our patterns of denial to either release them to a more expanded self-compassion (that automatically extends unless we actively block the extension to restate old habits as current choices), OR to rededicate to them as the masking protection from fear we are unwilling or unready to face at this timing.

Masking in who and what we are NOT requires sacrifice and seeks validation and support to maintain itself against the underlying dissonance with who and what you ARE. So when others do not sacrifice to fear and guilt, they are undermining the mask of protection against exposure - and this is felt as threat that seeks and finds offence and justification for withholding or withdrawal of love, acknowledgement, appreciation - such as to invalidate, deny, blank and project onto - and attack.
